Re: What made you feel giddy today?
So, was poking around on Amazon the other day and noticed something in my "Recommendations" section. It's a game for the PSP. So I check out gameplay on youtube and it looks very Dynasty Warriors-esque, which I like, so I go to check it out on Gamestop (because I have a gift certificate). While there, I find out that there is *another* version of the game, one that came before this one. And it's actually a visual novel/dating sim. So skeptical me goes "Right, one of those, outside of Japan, in English. Pssshyeah." Still, I'm a sucker for artbooks, soundtracks, and I know the PSP will play Japanese UMDs. So I shell out for the Collector's Edition, figuring I'll poke through the game via trial and error. Cuddlebuddy does me one better, logs into Amazon, and lets me use their Prime service.
Anyway, it shows up today, so while I'm on break from a shitty day at work, I peel open the smileybox and pull it out. And flip it over. And look at the screenshots on the ba-ENGLISH? IT'S IN ENGLISH?!?!? I'm surprised the dog wasn't howling from the high pitched squee that was coming out of me at the moment.
So not only do I get the one game for only 10 bucks, I get the game I was totally skeptical on and yet highly amused at watching the CB geek out over the historical figures in it (methinks someone is stealing my PSP) AND I get to understand it. Really really hope they do more of this in the future, but for now, happy Copper.
