... But if a Colosseum doesn't get made, I might have to take that into my own hands.
Bugger, keep forgetting I need to draft taht concept up. I guess I got a project today, either in the project planner or via Creative Mode ^^;

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

I put over a hundred iron blocks (not ingots. Blocks!) into the rail system, and I'm going to put more in. I've also got about eight blocks of diamond, and three near full picks. My shop also has over 60 lapiz blocks... That's a lot or rare stuff.

Not to mention the thousands of cobble and hundreds or dirt and gravel I have collected while mining/excavating the tunnel to Shrike's (which I started calling China because of how far it is.)

Towering statues of women! If you just get some 3D models of women in a certain file format, and I'll make the block blue prints.

Most of my supplies have gone into either the rail system, or my humble little tunnelhouse in the woods, or assisting the neighbors out. I admit ye kinda took over the rail system a bit >,>; (btw, optinum powering is 30 iron one gold, remember that :p) but even still I'd rather be confirmed if we need to move camp or not before we go too much further into building materials.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

No free wool? Damn, that sucks. Here's hoping we only have to open a new portal to the 1.8 map. Also, the 1.8 update will most likely be going live on the 12th September according to the Minecraft FAQ page on Reddit. Other bits of info for 1.8;

Exp won't do anything until the 1.9 update
NPC's won't be appearing until the 1.9 update
The vines in the swamp biome won't be climbable

EDIT: Quoted from Jeb; "Old worlds will work as normal, but new map features will only appear in new areas." So it looks like a portal will be in order and I won't lose my wool. Yay!

That 1.9 may as well be 1.8, part 2. It's basicly the refining on the 1.8 update and including the final details to make the Adventure mode... adventure-y.

And I guess that means I gotta get back to work on the track tunnel again... Bugger :<

Even still, definately gonna make the castle I got planning in the new world in that regard. Question, though: What would be smarter for a outer wall's foundation, Cobblestone or Obsidian?

Obsidian. Not just for grief protection, but that black stone is a sign of hard work; a mark of prestige. I have some that I'm willing to give away, and if you really want, I can mine more for you.

My current floorplan, according to the program I'm planning with, will require 839 Obsidian blocks, and that's just foundation of the walls. If I use it for the castle dungeon, that'd be a good pile extra as well, though using the Mossy Cobble for that or the stronghold bricks will probably be just as easy if not more fancy. The castle itself is using smoothstone, whereas the Barracks, sheds, and path will be using cobble, smooth, halfsteps, stairs, wood, fences, and mixture of materials thereof. Sadly I can't really get a good picture of it with the planner, as the 3D projection lags on the craptop too much, but if I do start it in the 1.8 world there's a good chance it'd be able to work as the main 'hub' for it, due to size and facilities (I'm including a farm for basic materials as well, including Cactus, Reeds, Pumpkins and Melons, Wheat, Mushrooms, and so on.

Other random trivia- the planner also says it'll require at least 6036 smoothstone and 4452 cobble, and as I said before that's not properly finishing the keep and wall's floorplan. Additionally, when I start working on it I'll probably start with the barracks, farm, sheds and stable to give everyone a safe place to hide in. Hopefully I can find a plain big enough to cover it >,>

Looks like we'll be in competition to find a nice flat plain then. My home won't need much room itself it's the various fields I'll need for each crop. I plan on having a reed farm that's 100 blocks per row, not sure how many rows I'm going to have yet. The wheat/pumpkin/melon/cactus fields will probably be about 50 blocks each. My mushroom farm will be several blocks below my home and fields and will probably expand underneath it all. My tree farm will probably house about 50 normal log tree's and about 20-25 birch log tree's. It will also act as a kind of park for myself as well.

Well, hopefully if we're lucky we'll find ourselves in a plain when we start out the new world. Castle Trinity (as I had dubbed it) has a floor footprint of 96x118, not counting wall overlap or the parts of the wall that suck in near the keep. Much of that width is from creating the barracks and stables on one side and the farming operations on the other (the stables may get replaced though, depends on if mounts come into play either by mod or official stuff.

I forgot how quickly the numbers rack up. Of course, I should've known, since I did put all those tracks down for a relatively short distance and used up so much iron and sticks and stuff.

That much obsidian... I guess it is time to start working on making an alchemical lava cooling pick...

If you can't find one near the spawn point, we could smooth out a slightly hilly area, or flatten the top of a mountain and build it atop.

Could you send me a copy of the design? My cumputer can handle the 3D view, so I may be able to provide screenshots.

That sounds awesome. But what about Pine trees?

Also, I have designs for a no waste cactus harvester. Interested?

Sure, I can send the floorplan. Btw, was just on the server, emptied out my normal track and laid more powertrack segments to China a little bit, then went to smelt some more ingots. Feel free to see if you can use any of the supplies from the Metro Central work area Taken, we got a lot of smoothstone to fancy up tunnels and so on.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Double post, but as I'm taking a quick break from working on the battle arena, I figured I'd relay something funny that just happened.

Now, Maiko set up a Chrono Trigger at the buildsite so we wouldn't get interupted, but being busy installing glass in the watching area's floor, I didn't notice the change of time too much. Until I looked up to see the zombie staggering towards me, right into the hole of the half-finished pane I created. Poor Spunty.

Naturally, I went down to talk to this poor chap, however, he wasn't too happy and attacked me! The git! Naturally I replied in similar with a hail of arrows. However, sun started going up as well, causing my framerate to crawl and I got half-clawed to death. Karma's a ass...

In related news, the Arena is going up fast, specially considering we started like 12 hours ago. Thanks to Maiko and Burrito definately for the working help/materials, however, the arena STILL needs a name. As by the end it's going to have mossy cobble and sandstone as prominant bricks (maybe even Vines when 1.8 comes in), but beyond that unsure what else to use for a name beyond some sort of Ruin. Thoughts or Ideas?

There's not really much difference colour-wise between regular logs and pine logs so I'm not going to bother farming them to sell. And thanks for the offer though I already know how to make an automatic cactus farm. Doubt I'll make one like that though, it's not something I'm going to be really selling, I'll be using them mostly for green dye and the dye combo's that use green.

Yogcast has a ton of videos featuring the 1.8 leak. However, they didn't expect Silverfish when experimenting with the new blocks:

I've still yet to try the leak out. Though I'll probably wait until the server has been updated and the update has been released officially before I do.

From what I heard, the leak is a earlier release, before even Notch's public showing. It's relatively buggy and laggy, and like you I'm waiting for the official release in what, 2 days now?

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Why do I have to be the only one posting in this thread?!? :<

Anyway, one more pic of the arena in progress for the lulz. Steve looks pretty nifty, though at the moment he forgot his Lapis Lazule sword. Also, those are sssome nice arena championsss you got there...

And because some people were asking, my 'almost scrapped' megaproject, Raidy's Tower. This is pretty much built legitly, but I'm rapidly losing interest in legit considering I'm hollowing half a freakin mountain to get where I've gotten now. As is, when Creative mode comes, I won't have to damage the landscape, and it'll look a heck of a lot more fancy.

Hello, it's the Stronghold. Also, Silverfish > Endermen and Creeper combined.
