Re: Destined Union (Jenna)
"It better." her mother said. "He should have met with your father already. Hopefully they're getting along."
And then Jenna and her mother traveled along the mountain until they found the entrance to the Great Hollow, which appeared only as a hole in the side of the mountain. To anyone else, it might as well be a tiny hole for an arachne nest. But once the two of them stepped into the hole, it soon became clear that, once they passed through the hole and stepped into a large, grand chasm, that the secret lair of the lizard clan was just beyond that hole.
The inside of the Great Hollow had no definite shape. The room they entered, essentially the main hall of the Great Hollow, was large and spacey. The ground was flat to make traversing it easy, and was lit by seemingly randomly placed white crystals that glowed bright with light, providing the lighting in an otherwise dark chamber. The crystals were held up by three legged poles on both hands, providing both stability and a place to hold the crystals up so that they can provide as much lighting as possible.
All along the walls of the main chamber were statues of old lizardkin heroes, which Jenna would remember, fondly or not. Each of their weapons were unique, and grand in appearance, as per lizard tradition, to own a weapon that symbolizes who you are. Some wielded long katanas, one used a trident, adopting the fighting style of Atlantis, and Fyre, the legendary lizardkin who developed the most aggressive combative art form, used a pair of savage axes, her statue carved to show the flames the two axes emitted, that burned so hot that lesser weapons melted from contact.
The statues were placed as randomly as the cave was designed. Only those of the lizard clan would truly know how to navigate the Great Hollow, and only by memorizing the individual statues of the legendary lizard kin. "How do you feel, finally coming back to your home after deserting your people?" Jenna's mother inquired, bringing up the fact that what Jenna did, leaving the Great Hollow, was equal to being a deserter.
