Not necessarily at the end, and i wont start Apocalypse until Overlord is over, but i think shaking things up is always good.
In the first CYOA, you were a girl inside of a lair trying to avoid being captured, in this CYOA you are a tentacle who is actively trying to capture women, in Apocalypse, ill be bringing back you as the girl, but trying to put you in a more desperate situation where your decisions will make a more direct impact on your character and those around you.
Tentacles will be hunting you everywhere you go, i think it is a unique situation where anything is possible, the concept of go out, capture women, fuck them, snuggle with them, impregnate them is all well and good, it allows you to take a dominant role, but there is a certain appeal to being the victim and having things done to you against your will, if you arent careful. that could potentially happen alot in apocalypse.
i look forward to writing it and getting people involved.

The Nomadic White Matriarch travelled across the lands, preying upon adventurers she came across on edge of towns, she cradled them like children as she breast fed each one of them, eventually they began to follow her like a cult, she would feed them all and care for them, building shelter as they traveled across the lands, she shielded her followers from danger, fighting off rival gangs of tentacles who attacked them, eventually she wandered into a town on the edge of ocean and they welcomed her with open arms, erecting a statue of her and creating a new religion which worshiped her as their god. Travelers who came to the town were kidnapped and forced to drink her milk, eventually they too became part of the township.

The Green Tentacles Hid deep in the forest, unseen from civilization for hundreds of years, led by their Overlord and Human Queen Rachel, the race lived in relative peace for several years until humans started traveling into their lands to escape other tentacles, the Green tentacles took on many more breeders, producing more spawn in greater numbers, eventually they tried to expand out of their deep forest and were attacked, other races stole their prized breeders and killed many of their offspring, the green tentacles prepared for war for the first time in centuries as they resolved to purify the entire forest and bring peace and prosperity back to the quiet woodlands once and for all.

I feel like we shouldn't necessarily be a hero, per se, after all we are a tentacled monstrosity. And I do agree we've been through a shit load. Before his death when we were playing lazuli I saw him as a gentle yet firm and authoritative tentacle overlord. We were fair but stern; and ultimately a tentacle beast. We should focus on survival while still trying to be open or approachable to our subjects. IMO I say something of a compromise between black/purple and white. We are in this to survive seeings as we've joined with Lazuli, but we still want to give our victims/breeders the idea or perception that were at least somewhat better and less evil(?) then the other colors.

Olivia turned around and knocked Laura's hand off of her shoulder, it took all of her strength to walk away from Samantha who still still viewed as just a slave.
Olivia walked up the tunnel which led to the exit of the lair, her hands trembling as she started to cry slimy tears.
She sat down on a rock outside of the lair, overlooking a small stream of water and just cried to herself.
She made a mistake, she wasent cut out for this. Lazuli was a true leader, he knew how to manage women without being too cruel, this most recent failure caused her to doubt herself more than ever before.
A familiar hand came down onto her shoulder, it was laura again.
"Olivia....." Laura said as she crouched down and put her arms around the matriarch.
In a gentle moment, Olivia also put her arms around Laura and held her there.
"I cant do this Laura, im not a leader.....i dont know how to go on"
Laura sat on the ground next to her with her legs crossed.
"Olivia, i know things can seem tough, you are a powerful creature now and you have alot of responsibility, but hes relying on you olivia....you are the only one...."
Lazuli, the one who changed her forever, who believed in her, who died in her arms in the final hours of her humanity.
"Would you do it again Olivia? would you change into the matriarch you are now?"

"Nonsense Olivia, you are strong, you are a leader who is fearless and brave, there is only one person who can put this all together again and it is you"
"But what about you Laura? you are a creature like me now...."

Laura got to her feet and put her hand on Olivia's face, lifting her face up so their eyes would connect.

Laura turned around to enter the Lair again, but Olivia stopped her, cold as ice, she said to her.
"Samantha, send her to me"
Laura stopped and turned towards her "dont hurt her.....please"

Samantha emerged from the lair, she was scared of what might happen, but she was prepared for her punishment, nobody talks to an overlord the way that she did and gets away with it.
Samantha stood in front of Olivia, who was looking out into the jungle.
"Sit" Olivia told her.
Samantha sat down on the grass with her knees bent and crunched up against her body, hoping that her punishment wouldn't involve being raped.
"i've made a decision Samantha." Olivia said to her, as she continued to look out into the jungle.
"And?" Samantha responded
"Before you joined us, i was a human just like you"
"I remember"
"I was rebellious and brash, i didnt think before i acted, needless to say, being transformed into what i am now, i haven't changed much"
Samantha simply listened, secretly hoping this wasent some kind of ploy to lure her into a more vulnerable position.
"I messed up, alot Lazuli punished me and questioned whether he made the right decision in selecting me as his princess"
Samantha wasent about to interject here.
"You know what he told me?" Olivia looked over to Samantha
Samantha simply shook her head.
"He told me that he didnt care and that he didnt trust anyone as much as he trusted me, for the first time in my life, i felt love"
"You've never been loved?"
"i was an orphan Samantha, abandoned by my parents, i was raised by a family who made me always feel like i was a burden to them that they never wanted"
Samantha just looked Olivia in the eyes as she continued to tell the story, she could see Olivia's tears run down her face.
"For my entire life i had been ridiculed by my friends, only a few people have ever been nice to me, but most of them just wanted something from me."

"the day Lazuli attacked me, i was planning on killing myself that night, i had it all planned out, go deep into the forest and open my veins amongst the trees, i had taken a job as a servant girl just to get out there, and to gain access to a good knife."
Samantha felt bad...but didnt know how to react to what she was hearing.
"Ive always hated humanity, and when lazuli attacked me.....he saved me.." Olivia looked straight out again "He was the only one who has ever loved me, and id do anything for him....even if it ment sacrificing myself for revenge"
"People care about you Olivia, you are just..."
"not cut out for this" Olivia said to her, turning back.
"i dont mean that" Samantha said
"No, i mean it....Samantha, im not a leader, im terrible with people. i hate them all, deep down, i just want to make you all suffer, but that isnt our way...blue tentacles shouldn't be ruthless like i am, I disrespect the memory of Lazuli by being this way."
"Will you change?"
"No, i wont change"
Olivia got up and stood over Samantha as she sat there.
"But you will.............Stand"
Samantha rose slowly, still not sure what Olivia was planning
Olivia put her hand on Samantha's shoulder and looked into her eyes
"Samantha, i name you the Overlord of the Blue tentacle race, you will protect it and provide for it, care for our young like you would your own...you are a mother now"
Samantha stood there speechless as Olivia turned away and looked into the jungle.

"Laura....she can help you repopulate...she is your servant now, Overlord"
Olivia brushed her tears away, scooping up the slime as she brought her fingers to Samantha's mouth.
"Laura will read your mind and heed my words"
Samantha licked up the slime and felt the buzz in her mind, her mind was now linked with Olivia and Laura's temporarily.
Olivia turned and walked away from her towards the jungle.
"Olivia where are you going?"
"Im going to get revenge." Olivia told her as she left the woman behind.
Olivia jumped onto a tree and leapt quickly from tree to tree, her mouth formed into a bloodthirsty grin as the fury which grew within her was free at last.

Laura came running out of the cave and saw Samantha outside looking into the jungle in the direction at which Olivia departed.
"shes gone......" Laura could hardly believe it.
"She has gone to get revenge"
Laura walked over to her slowly and knelt down in front of her.
"My Overlord...i am at your command"
"Laura, get up"
Laura rose from the ground.
"You dont ever have to kneel before me Laura, we're equals"
Laura nodded to her and smiled.
As the two began to walk back into the lair, Laura looked back and smiled towards the jungle as she put her arm around Samantha.

Olivia continued on until she reached the edge of the Habitat where she knew that morrow could see her.
"Morrow!" she yelled aloud
the side of the habitat which was made to look like a rocky obstruction illuminated and showed morrow.
"Olivia, what are you doing this was not part of the deal"
"We need to meet, in person"
"Im afraid i cant do that Oliv...."
"ill kill everyone on this island Morrow, the women, your researchers, you. you know i can do it, you've seen me."
after a short pause the side of the formation opened up and a pathway was revealed, lights illuminated her path as she stepped onto the path.
"Be on your best behavior Olivia."

Olivia entered a large room, with two sided windows all around her, in the center of the room stood Morrow, who awaited her without his guards.
"Morrow?" Olivia said to him
Morrow lifted his glasses and adjusted his lab coat.
"you asked for me"
"im surprised you arent behind a plane of glass or surrounded by hundreds of guards"
"You dont even know yourself, do you? Morrow said as he put his hands in his pocket.
"Your power has increased exponentially since we last met, no device we have could contain you now, and even though you were hopefully bluffing, you could easily tear this entire place apart and kill everyone, if that was your choice"
"Why are you telling me this?"
Morrow walked over to a small table in the center of the room and picked up a piece of paper.
"Do you know what this is?"
Olivia shook her head
"This is your genetic blueprint, mapped out entirely, we've unlocked every facet of your being, from how you absorb energy to how you manipulate your victim's minds"
Morrow walked up to Olivia and placed the Paper into her hand.
"I need something from you, and if you give it to me, you'll have your freedom, your friends can stay for as long as they want, and you can come and go as you please."
"What can i possibly offer to you?"
"Evolution." morrow said as he walked back over to the desk and sat in the chair behind it.

Olivia fumbles through the paper until she reads the place morrow has mentioned "Subject O has shown the ability to manipulate the human genome and force rapid DNA manipulation for the purpose of assimilation"
Morrow adjusts his glasses again.
"Laura."
"Indeed"
"I cant do that to you, i dont even know how i did it myself"
"Dont worry, ive created an acceleration agent"
Morrow reaches into his coat pocket and produces a vial of clear liquid with a syringe attached to it.
"All i require is your DNA, and i will be transformed into a creature like you"
"i dont think this is a good idea."
"If you want to leave this island, it is the only way"
suddenly the door behind Morrow opens and Leon walks through it
"Dont do this Olivia! Morrow is insane!"
"I seem to recall asking not to be disturbed."
Morrow takes a device out of his pocket and presses a button, Leon reaches for his neck as he is shocked by electricity, he falls to the floor unconscious.
"So do we have a deal?"
"When.....if i change you......what happens then?"
"You'll go on your way and ill go on mine, if we meet in the future, i promise to be.....friendly"
Olivia stands there for a moment, considering her options.
