Unneccessary vote

Edit: Changing my vote to Minerves of trying the helmet then looking for traps.

Try the Helmet, then search. (C, then A)

I hope that helmet has horns. I really, really want to be able to use "Let's get HORNY!!" as a battle cry despite the impracticalities.

Oh, a vote? C, try the mysterious helmet

(A) Search a little more, because you never know what you'll find.

While Elena decided on what to do, she took the helm back out and looked at it a little bit before removing her magical witch hat and placing it on her head. As soon as it was down over her head, Elena felt a bit more protected from anything that would target her head, though she could also feel her magic slightly wane, as if she could feel it would be slightly harder to cast her magic with the helm on. She decided to put her witches hat back on her head, figuring it would help her much more than the iron helm would or could. (Warning: if magic users wear metal armors of any kind, they take a penalty to casting. Which in game terms would be their to-hit. The penalty they take depends on how much metal armor they're wearing. Wearing one piece of metal armor gives a -2 penalty to all magic attack rolls, while 2 pieces doubles it to a penalty of -4, then with 3 pieces it goes to -8, -16, and it caps at -32.)

"Even though it's a harder hat than the one I've got. I'd rather keep my witch hat, it makes me look cuter," Elena said to herself, smiling as she placed her witches hat back on her head and stowing the iron helmet back in her pack.

She decided to wait until after she'd checked the room at the very least and so she went about the room, giving a closer inspection of everything. While searching the room, Elena did indeed manage to find a hidden switch that was behind a loose stone on the western wall of the room, which after she pulled the stone loose revealed a small lever. After pulling the lever, Elena saw a small doorway open up that led into a small room connected to the one she was already in, though the new room was only about five or six feet in either direction large. (Elena passed her perception check to find hidden stuff.)

Inside the small hidden room, Elena saw what seemed to be a platinum ring sitting on a small pedestal. It had a fairly large emerald gemstone set into its center piece, with smaller emerald gems circling the band all the way around. She could easily tell it was magical in nature, though what kind of magic she wouldn't know until she either tried it on or identified it.

"Wow... so pretty. I've never seen that many emeralds before in a ring. I... Pelor, should I accept and take this gift?" Elena said, asking her patron for guidance as she thought of what all to do.

What should Elena do?

B - Try the ring on inside the room. If bad things start happening, put the ring back, beg for forgiveness even as she high tails it out of the room

Lol, you might as well just have told us what happens when you put the ring on. We're predictable like that.

Speaking of predictable... what the hell does her amulet do:confused:?

Re: The Dungeon of Debauchery: Mind Flayer's CYOAs.

(B) Put the shiny ring on and move onwards.

(@ ArchAngelGundam – I'll go ahead and tell you it isn't cursed, because Elena can tell if things are cursed or not.)

(@ Genius700 – I would have just said she goes ahead and puts the ring on, but then again the vote may have come out differently, so I had to take that into consideration despite the most likely outcome of the vote. And I can't just tell you what the amulet does, she's got to identify it first. :p)

Elena decided to take the ring, thinking it may be something valuable that could help her considering it was hidden away in a secret room and all that, so she figured it was worth the risk to put it on. She slipped the thing onto the ring finger of her right hand and admired it there for a moment before turning around and heading on back out of the little secret room, and then back out of the main room. She made her way back through to the large room from before and went on across it to the eastern corridor to continue onwards, seeking the steps leading down from this floor.

As she made her way down the eastern pathway, Elena found herself thinking about Mia and Julie, and their coming children. She actually felt kind of giddy about being a parent soon, and wondered what her own parents would think of her situation now. She hoped they wouldn't be angry, or would disown her for becoming what she is or for having more than one lover. She decided not to worry about it or anything, feeling that it wouldn't be good to worry about such a thing until she was out of this place, or at least until she was back in the safety of their sanctuary.

She finally saw the door up ahead and entered the next room. Inside she saw the steps leading down amazingly enough, as well as another doorway leading south. She wasn't quite sure if she should check the southern path to see what was down it, or just head on down to the next floor.

Hmm... what to do what to do? I kind of want to just go on down to the next floor, but... what if there's something valuable down that path,” Elena mumbled to herself, looking at both paths ahead of her.

While she debated what to do, she began moving towards the doorway a little where she suddenly tripped over something... it was a tripwire that had been fixed up near the southern doorway. As soon as she tripped over it, she felt a pinprick down by her right ankle and as she looked down she saw a needle sticking in her leg just above her ankle. When she saw it, she instantly knew that she'd stumbled quite literally into a trap. Within a minute after she pulled the needle out of her leg, she felt her breasts swell slightly larger as they began lactating, her angelic milk dripping from her now even heavier than normal breasts. (Elena failed her perception check to spot the trap, which was a needle trap. It had lactation poison in it, which will cause Elena's breasts to lactate for the next 5 turns.)

Oh darn it... not another one of those needles, I'm tired of the traps in this place. Hopefully it'll go away soon,” Elena said aloud in a depressed voice as she sighed.
