Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

All hail the Order of the Stick!

And don't laugh at that last one. I had a thief that *did* actually do that once. No one else wanted to climb the trees where the monsters came down from...so they sent the (mute)elven thief up. Whisper was an f'ing klepto and so I pulled the DM aside and went "Okay, what's in there?" "X gold pieces, these gems, big statue." I stuck the most expensive gem in my mouth (hey, I was *mute*), hid the others on my person, pocketed as much of the gold as I could hide and *then* brought down the statue and the rest of the coins and that was only because the statue was too big for me to hide without them seeing it.

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

I don't know I still want to know how to cast the spell Evan's Spiked Tentacles of Intrusion. Darn rogues never can trust them. Anwyays I'll probably post three times a day if I can do it. At least the main posts small questions or actions I'll try to take care of right away.

Something I was going to point out, but I forgot about did you want to add a club or q-staff to your inventory Megamickel for any undead that may pop-up. Just thought I would add that if you don't want one that's fine, too. Just sort of occurred to me.

Edit: I moved Megamickel's character to stand behind the other 3.

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

How are we going to handle level ups? Should we PM you with the ranks/feats/spells/whatnot we want? Or just post them in the main thread or this one or something?

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

I would say either pm me or place them here, and after I check it you can add it to your master sheet in the other thread.

So any suggestions, ideas, or things to improve on so far. Just let me know.

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

If you guy's would double-check your character stuff on the character sheet thread for me (the ones I wrote, not your actual sheets). Just so I can make sure I didn't miss anything. thanks.

Edit: 2 things I noticed that I must have missed. 1. Megamickel you have one language 2 many( I think you got confused when Ryu said Sylvan was a bonus language for druids, that just means you can learn it not that it's automatically on your list like Druidic.) 2. Copper did I do your skills the way you had them because I think I did something wrong, or you used to many skill points.

Did you take the Racial bonuses into account? I ask before I go utterly bonkers trying to figure out how I divided things up *laughs*

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

Yes, I did. I doublechecked it again, and I'm coming out at 8 extra skill points. Here's what I came up with working backwards, may help you figure it out. I just hope I didn't do something wrong cause i would feel bad making you go through it again. ranks+ability modifier+racial modifier=total

balance 1+2=3, bluff 3+2=5, climb 1+0=1, decipher script 1+2=3, diplomacy 1+2+2=5, disable device 4+2=6, escape artist 3+2=5, gather information 3+2+2=7, hide 4+2=6, knowledge (local) 2+2=4, listen 4+0+1=5, move silently 4+2=6, open lock 4+2=6, search 3+2+1=6, sense motive 1+0=1, sleight of hand 2+2=4, spot 4+0+1=5, tumble 1+2=3, use magic device 1+2=3, use rope 1+2=3

Edit: I'm 99.9% sure all the stuff in my smaller reference sheet is correct, so if they differ from yours. Could you doublecheck and do any changes to your sheets before we get to far into the game. Or if you think I did something wrong ask. Thanks.

Edit 2: I made an album with some NPC portrait's I have planned, if you want to look at them. So far the only one you've run into is Theldrat, the merchant.

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

Will do. I'll look into it. Might have skewed a few things. Again, 4am is not an ideal time to be generating a character.

Also, because it's D&D related, must share.

Hrm. I *though* I fixed things when I was pulling points from certain places, but it looks like you're right and I didn't. Will adjust on the sheet and for reference, the adjustments are:

balance 1+2=3, bluff 1+2=4, climb 1+0=1, decipher script 1+2=3, diplomacy 1+2+2=5, disable device 3+2=6, escape artist 2+2=4, gather information 2+2+2=6, hide 4+2=6, knowledge (local) 1+2=3, listen 4+0+1=5, move silently 4+2=6, open lock 3+2=6, search 3+2+1=6, sense motive 1+0=1, sleight of hand 2+2=4, spot 3+0+1=5, tumble 1+2=3, use magic device 1+2=3, use rope 1+2=3

1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 40

Why do I feel like the first ending to the movie "Clue"?

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

Why does he hate my spelljammer creatures so much, and the poor flumph never gets any respect. Oddly I didn't see the rust monster though. :(

Edit: Thankies. But here's what really happened. Mr. green did it in the hall with the revolver, now I'm going to go home and sleep with my wife.

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

Are you ready for the second ending, nevermind the preemptive third ending. I hope I never get you as a cashier you have serious adding trouble. Actually I think you just forgot to change the final totals from what you had before. Now on to the third ending. Huzzah.

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

Actually, the machine does it for me an if there's a disagreement, then I double check the situation thoroughly. :p

And I dunno about Spelljammer. Probably just the concept of it, maybe.

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

Thanks, because of you I had to watch Clue last night. Yes monkey bee's are interesting, but I kind of like the armadillophant. Most people don't seem to appreciate Spelljammer, probably the whole elves in space thing. Though the illithid were much cooler in space if you ask me.

Quick question I just realized I've been doing all the rolling so far, not that there's been much. Are you guy's okay with that, or do you want to roll your own stuff from now on? Some checks are supposed be done by me, but I'm thinking more of when we get to combat and stuff.

I'm fine with you doing all the rolling. You don't want us padding the numbers now.

It's not "padding the numbers," it's "stacking the deck." Skills so high, it doesn't matter what you roll...

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

Yeah stacking the deck, I mean padding the numbers, I mean DM cheat... er look birdies.

Seriously as long as you don't mind this works for me, but if you want to roll I won't stop you either. Huzzah.

I seriously have to stop reading Order of the Stick so much, I'm huzzahing everywhere, nowadays.

Re: D&D campaign (to be named)

Just so you guys, know since most haven't been in Greyhawk before Zagig was the first Lord Mayor of Greyhawk. Currently he's a demi-god who serves Boccob. He's sort of like the Greyhawk version of Halaster except more powerful, and he's just as crazy, but more goodhearted.

Edit Since you guy's aren't worried about doing the rolling yourselves I'll continue doing it the way I have been. If I don't think of doing a roll like a spot, listen, knowledge, or sense motive check don't forget to remind me in your posts and I'll take care of it. Any questions about anything so far that isn't clear or you're confused about just let me know here or in a PM. Thanks
