Dahlia as well, better MR then Thetis. There are Thetis and Clissa, so save your silver elanie
Stat wise Clissa is far stronger, but I mostly use Thetis for it 1.4 attack skill
I believe the 75% recovery is only after awakening which we don't have yet.I dont recall every getting more points back retreating them before. Its always been at 50% for valks too.
They are quite tanky too. Mine have killed the lich for example.I feel that the main use for Valks are their unique ability to regain your points back. Unfortunately they still cost a lot to deploy which is somewhat counter intuitive to their purpose, which makes the soldier reinforcement ability so much better since soldiers are simply much easier to deploy faster. If valks were cheaper to deploy you would probably see them played a lot more.
It is the most cost effective map for gold/units. You can sell the units when extra gold is needed. Also up to around level 40 you can repeatedly do that map and not run out of charisma before you level.I have a question I hope isnt to idiotic, could someone explain how XP gain works in combat? see I have looked over this thread and the guide, and there seems to be a big emphasis on the rural gate. but when I went back and did a lowlevel mission (not actually rural gate because it was before I started reading all this stuff) to test a the idea that I could get more XP by hitting up lower level maps that cost less charisma I got some laughably small amout, like 60 XP or something, and no it wasnt one of the stamina map, and I three starred it (though I am also not sure if three starring effects XP gain.)
anyway, I guess what I am asking is what makes rural gate a grind place. right now I am using the royal rode because it was the last mission I can consistently three star before I hit a wall I couldn't break through.
They don't cost that much more than soldiers and can kill things faster. Moreover their ability starts ticking immediately. On super rush maps, like fairy rescue high tier, by the time Call Reinforcements is ready the map is almost over, while valk not only kills few wolves, but also awards you few crucial sortie points. This also comes into play in Castle Retake and especially Immortal Beast.I feel that the main use for Valks are their unique ability to regain your points back. Dahlia, that one is truly a mage killer, affection HP + Attack and skill 0 defense for multiplying damage (risk life)Dahlia as well, better MR then Thetis.

Edit*NM, seems they should from start... /shrug.

Those monsters that have high MR will laugh at a princess, thus Valks have their use as probably the most well rounded duelist. Least IMO, I think every team should have at least one.
Ofc you are right. Its just that newbies who read FAQ @ first post automatically assume that Pastoral is the place to farm for everything forever, when it is actually a stepping stone for everything but gold_only farming. There's no point at all in running it for exp/feeder from the moment you reach Tower, just like Tower becomes obsolete after getting to Dragon Hunt.it is pretty clear cut that pastoral is not the best for experience like everyone keeps claiming.
The drop rate on Dragon Hunting are not very good, but i dont mind that because i dont waste that much gold and easy lvl and cc my silvers + farm affection items to push them to 100%Though I do have to ask. Does anyone else seem to get very few units from Dragon hunting? I seem to only get 2-3 per attempt, while if I was to do remnant 3 I usually get 4 or 5 units. It's kind of annoying since the level 18 units are so much better and less of a headache to use then the others. Not to mention Remnant is annoying to farm since that early rush usually requires some fine timing on my deployments.
Edit: huh guess the old post I had been using from the JP topic was outdated. Or probably was just going on the perspective of raw charisma efficiency
Dragon Hunt only goes up to 4 drops per run. This makes it a bit worse than it could be, and perhaps it is actually better to run Flame Dragon (same exp, less gold, -1 feeder lvl, 5 max drop). If you need more feeders and have a gold to spare, go for it. I like running Hunt, as it takes less time from work and requires less micro/control.Though I do have to ask. Put your melee in the most front deployment place, lich will attack the melee only if the melee is blocking his path, otherwise lich will attack the latest unit you setBeating castle retake reminded me of a song. Get Set Go - Die Motherfucker Die. The combination of rage and hentai silliness just felt right.
The number of times that lich came out only to instant snipe my healers and completely ignore my melee was absurd.
Aye I know, but thanks. I did manage it in the end, but more due to a timing issue. Worked fine once I delayed placing certain melee till after most of the final wave. I just had to avoid the lich + charge focus fire since most of my melee aren't leveled as much as they likely should be. The frustration of losing on the last mob a few times was impressive though.Put your melee in the most front deployment place, lich will attack the melee only if the melee is blocking his path, otherwise lich will attack the latest unit you set
