I recently started playing VPM and i have a few questions:
1. Why dont you focus on the VPM translation and finish it? Then do fancy font changes and other minor things after it has been translated. Finish base and then just release "updates"
2. Why was the guide book not translated? Its an item and it shouldve normally been translated. Litteraly the most important item is not translated. Normally when a translation is done first items/ui are finished.
3. Why do you keep taking multiple projects at once? VPM is already taking ~2.5 years.
4. If you are worried about copyright name you do know that JapeTrans is also copyrighted?
The guide book has nothing to do with the familiar and the ymain story progress. Its used for CG/Scene hunting and something like that usually is important. Also how come is somehting added in a version in future when the latest version of hte game is 1.1.4?

Hi Habisain what was the name of the game you mentioned at the previous page? Mystery or Something? And what translator did you use to translate this? Can you suggest me some translator?
My mystery project? It's mysterious, isn't it? And that's kind of the point. Announcements will or won't be made in due course - I don't yet know if anything releasable will come of it at this stage.
As to translating, I use a combination of being able to read a fair amount of Japanese without translation software, Yomichan for difficult Kanji, and ATLAS/Google Translate should my skills fail me - which is quite often, to be honest (there's always a large amount of editing to make the English actual sound good, of course).. Oh, and RPGMaker Trans/JapeTrans to actually insert the translation into the game, but that's common knowledge at this point.

Oh no I didn't mean it like that it was just an example So you didn't use any program translator on this game? Also based on your translation Can you tell me what kind of moans did you use? I mean not from the audio but the words itself for example like "Hieee,Kyaaa!" Something like that I am trying to get some examples of it.
Deleted xDIn parts I guess? At present I can read a fair amount of Japanese, especially with Tomochan helping. However, when I started out on this project I knew a fair amount less, and relied on machine translations more. In addition, I annotated my patch files with the machine translations from ATLAS and the transliteration from KAKASI, which is useful for a quick outline of what the text is trying to say (95% of the time, anyway).
As to moans, that something that's actually in flux at the moment. Moans, and onomatopeia's in general, are a bit of a pain, and one of the things I'm experimenting with for the final version is a means to automatically detect and appropriately translate moans etc. As some people prefer transliteration and some translation, If I can get this to work there may be multiple versions of the patch, or perhaps an option, to let people choose between the two.
As to doing a translation of a moan/SFX, it can get a little tricky. For example, in Japanese speech "あ/ah" is used where in English we'd use "Oh". There's also the slight issue that some of the sound effects we would use "m" sounds for in English are typically written with "n" sounds in Japanese. Another thing is that a lot of moan type sounds with "や/ya" sounds can be a little tricky, because this is best translated to a cry of "No" - except in "Kya" sounds, where it's more of a shriek. "Hauu" normally means a sigh/should shrug, "Haa" normally heavy breathing (especially when chained, but could be a sigh on it's own)...
