"Hey, that's what I want to know, ok? My room mate here gets bit by a snake or something, starts spazing out, Siphon brings her up here, then that creepy girl falls from the ceiling, I'm all WTF, they start talking about gods and destroyed worlds, I'm all WTF, Siphon freakin explodes into a living lightbulb, creepy girl bite my goddamn paralytic roomy, then they chat some more, I'm all WTF... *gasp* ...and they leave. It's like that." Grace barely pauses while saying this, busy tending to the bandaging. When she's done she turns to whoever just came in and gives a half exasperated look.

"Hey, I remember you. You wandered in the last time she went crazy and caught a detention just for turning up."

"That was her? I didn't get a good look at her last time."

"Hey, you guys know each other?"

"We've met. Briefly. Very briefly. The same psycho woman was there as well. Something about her isn't right."

"Okay, apparently I've got about as much understanding of what happened as everyone else, so I'm going to go follow the crazy person and try to get her side of the story."

"You sure that's a good idea?"

"It's a great idea."

Before anything else could be said, Vulkoran dashes out of the room after Mia.

"Jesus, let's hope he doesn't get himself killed."

Siphon raises his arm, blocking Vulkoran's path. "NO. She will destroy you, you have no idea what you will be fighting. Grace, I am sorry, IF I survive this with my memory intact, I will try to make it up to you. Coraxus, Vulkoran, I rarely say this, but interfere in this and it won't be her wrath you face, but OURS."

The fire returns to his eyes, and he straightens. He heads at the door, but as he does, he seems to push some kind of button, and then just simply... isn't there anymore. In reality, he had cloaked, his full intention of pursuing Mia, a plan working in his mind already.

((Feel free to have Vulkoran disregard the warning, Siphon won't attack him, but he WILL be pissed, but he'll live with it. ))

Kyle waited just a few minutes after Siphon left, then stood up and left without another word. As he neared the door, Kyle pulled his room key out.

Siphon led Sho to the appropriate building, and once again simply shouldered the already somewhat broken door out of the way, speaking as he did so. "Grace, Elissia, you still here? If so, special food delivery compliments of Sho and I."

He moves aside to let Sho into the room, wincing a bit as the door seems about ready to fall apart. "Oh yeah, Matt is gonna have to sue me for that bit of damage."

"Matt will likely blast the door off its hinges and then forget that it was even broken in the first place. That is, if he doesn't wind up in here for having hurt himself trying to put on the replacement." She shakes her head. "Real food, too. Not chicken soup. Except, I need to go back and get jello. You can't leave unless you eat the jello." She laughs.

Actually...

Strangely enough, as Siphon shouldered the door it decided it was having none of it. The door doesn't budge, nor creak in the slightest despite the apparent damage already there. The cracked piece of timber holds fast like an iron wall. A second attempt of any kind opens it without problem though, as Grace quickly dispels her hidden reinforcement to allow them in.

Grace was sitting on the chair by the nurses desk near the bed. Ellisia was sleeping, and amazingly looking better for it already, though it's hard to really tell what something like this has done.
"Oh hey! You brought me food? Awesome!" She said getting up and stuffing something she'd been writing in her bag. "I'm starved, but I didn't want to leave." She eagerly accepts the first thing offered to her, and then looks to Ellisia. "I think she's doing ok. She's been real quiet, I've actually been checking she's still breathing every now and then cause she worries me lying so still on a little bed like that. I'd fall out."

Well hidden from notice was the barrier field grace had put upon the room. An invisible field was blocking out the plane of shadow within the room. The barrier was paper thin with little power behind it, but if something happened to breach it, such as shifting in or trying to spy lurking in the shadows, Grace would know the moment something touched it.

Siphon's eyes register a moment of surprise at the door disobeying him, and resists the urge to either kick it, shoot it, or otherwise send the entire wall flying, and pushes against it again, sighing in relief as it opens. He takes note of Grace there and simply says, "I hope to god whyever that door wouldn't open was your doing."

It is more of a statement and not a question, though it has a tint of doubt behind it, him not being sure what, if any of her powers would be.

"Anyway, yeah we brought ya food and drink. Couldn't just leave you hanging after earlier."

Grace skirts the question. Whatever gave him that idea... "Huh? Anyway, so what's been happening? did the demon get away? Did you defeat it?"

Siphon shakes his head. "Another demon stepped in and they started going at it. I couldn't get close enough to see what was going on, but from the looks of it I'd say they will keep each other busy for a while. I hope. Uh... Grace, this is Sho, my girlfriend."

His features changed though as he realized she hadn't said anything. He had a bad feeling she had no idea what he was talking about, and out came his small scanner device. Fairly soon he was scanning the area around the door, including the walls, searching for anything that might come up.

"Gotta be something here," he muttered aloud, not realizing it.

"Another one? Oh jeez..." She said taking a bite out of the burger. She waved at Sho, swallowing before speaking again. "Hi again. We met briefly in the dorm corridors."

Grace looks off in thought for a second, thinking of how Ima was acting then. A face was a face. Was that personality all an act? It certainly could be. She looked back up to Siphon as he started sweeping about the room. "...uh? What are you doing?"

The scanner would pick up nothing. Only the well hidden shadow barrier remained, and that would only be detectable by a magically sensitive person who was already looking for it. The barrier was between planes separating the dimensions themselves rather than in physical space, so there would be nothing to bump into.

"When I tried to enter the room before with the food, something kept me out, like a shield bubble or something. Whatever it was though collapsed or was removed before I tried again. I was hoping to find at least a residual trace of whatever field was in place, but I'm getting nothing. Which means it's beyond this device's ability to scan, so I am praying to god it wasn't one of those demons trying to keep us out, or you in so they could come back for you."

A moment as he shakes his head then adds, "though if it collapses after I hit it once that is a pretty shitty demonic barrier. Pathetic actually. Unless of course whoever made it took it down to let us in and then resealed it."

To test this theory, he heads over to the door, probing the entry way and trying to open it. If it opened, he'd give up, a look of frustration on his face. If it didn't, his pistol would be out, aiming to shoot the door this time, his thinking being that it was already needing replacement, why not just vaporize the whole thing and leave no trace it had been smashed in?

The door opens without incident, only being naturally a little stiff due to being pounded slightly out of shape.

"Seriously? I hadn't tried leaving yet. It sounds unrecognisable to me."

Grace was beginning to question why she was even hiding this. Acting oblivious was starting to get tiresome. Maybe... maybe...

Siphon shut the door again slowly, a brief look of frustration crossing his face. "Ah screw it. Whatever it was is gone, at least for now."

He shrugs and then says, "I guess if we have any problems with leaving later on I'll just blow out half the wall."

It's hard to tell at first if he is joking or not, but then she might catch the faintest hint of a smile at the corner of his lips.

"How are YOU holding up though Grace? Bet when you woke up this morning you didn't think you'd be sitting here having to watch your room mate recover, a demoness trying to kill her, OR a glowing, centuries old alien in front of you huh?"

A pause and he adds, "and sorry about rushing out on you earlier and startling you. Hopefully this makes up for at least part of it, though your no doubt kind of curious as to learn more about me."

He sits down on another one of the chairs, indicating for Sho to sit next to him if she wants to. "So fire away I guess."

He does seem to be pretty laid back now, definitely feeling a bit bad about startling her and then rushing out with hardly any explanation to her before.

Sho waves back to Grace after she puts down the rest of the food she was carrying, making sure her and Siphon's own lunches are fine before he starts scanning the walls. "I think I remember. I was when we got our visit from Insanity Claus, right?" She grins.

Grace can see her watching Siphon, absently munching on some fries as she does so, obviously taking his behavior in stride. She shakes her head, knowing he won't fully be satisfied until he gets to the bottom of this mystery.

"Matt really will kill you if you destroy the wall, you know. If not him, then Kyle." As she sits beside him, she also holds a burger out in front of him. "Manga. You need to keep up your strength."

((Mahn-jah. Italian for 'eat.' Not "manga". I don't know how to spell it *laughs*))

"Eh, I guess I'm fine. I wasn't the one poisoned, nor shot, nor busy fighting demons. I uh... just don't know what to make of anything any more. I'm going along with it as it comes and trying to pretend I know what I'm doing. I think..." She says looking skyward, sipping her coke. "Y'know, I never had this stuff at home. It was water, fruit juice or wine most of the time." The coke wasn't her real interest right now, but her mind was wandering over a lot of things.

Looking to Sho, "Yeah, that was the time. And I thought she was acting strangely then."

She pauses again for a second, thinking, and then suddenly breaks out to say, "I want to help. I'm not going to sit around all day trying to ignore her and hoping she doesn't spring out from beneath me any second."

Siphon shoots a grin back at Sho and grabs a burger, partaking in it even as Grace speaks. He stops in his tracks when she asks to help, and his first reaction, naturally was to tell her no. Then he got to thinking as to how she had handled herself earlier and his head tilted slightly.

"I can understand that all to well, but you do need to understand that she is BEYOND what I know of. She is just as alien to me as I am to this planet. If things turn sour... Well you saw how little of an effect my weaponry had on her. If the need arises, I can not promise I will be able to save you should the need arise. That said, unfortunately, the only one who seems to know anything about that demoness is Elissia, and right now she isn't in much position to be telling us anything."

A moment passes as he considers. "Though neither am I going to be the one to deny you the chance. Considering this is all new for you, at least I am assuming it is, you have handled yourself remarkably well so far. If you want to help, then welcome aboard, just please understand that right now, as far as she goes, I'm as much in the dark as you are."

He takes another bite of his burgers, and washes it down with the root beer. "I'll tell you what I can about various things, be it myself or that demoness, as much as I can and know. I'm afraid right now that is the best I can do."

Sho's words register on him about Matt and he half snorts. "Please, sure Matt might get angry at me about the door, but that will be before I tell him about the snake and hint at putting a live snake or two in his gun room. Non lethal snakes of course, but he won't know that. Failing that of course comes plan B."

He doesn't elaborate on that any further, though from the twinkle in his eye, it obviously is some kind of practical joke.

"Maybe you ought to do it anyway. Then he'll blast to kingdom come anything scaley that he sees and we'll have an idea if the demon snake is running around." She casually snips off a fry with her teeth, grinning, then goes back to making the bag of them disappear.

"I understand that. And thanks. It's just, I think I may have something I can genuinely help you all with. Mind if I test something?"

Without actually waiting for an answer she pulls over the wheeled bedside table, placing it between them and sitting down again, and places her fountain pen on it. "Just a second... hang on..."

Grace seems to focus on the pen, half in concentration, half in a semi meditative look. After about 10 strange seconds of this, she looks up again and smiles. "All done. Sho, try picking up the pen." A slight playful grin is on her face, but nothing malicious.
