Update posted. First few Red Light scenes are translated, scenes with monster parts merchant, armorer, and restaurant translated, defeat scenes against criminals in Red Light District translated.

Thanks for the work - while the MTL is out many of us do appreciate the work that you do in giving us an actual game that we can understand. You are awesome

Came here from F95, where I downloaded the game just this past month. I was expecting the usual MTL poetry, but was pleasantly surprised to find it well-translated... until I got to the middle of Act 2 where everything was still left untranslated. So I went digging deeper into the thread and found that @hewhocumsbynight was doing the actual translation, not some MTL by broken_division, so I'm not even sure why s/he is credited as the translator.
In any case, I'm really glad you're on the job @hewhocumsbynight, because I'm really liking the story to this game so far. It's unfortunate you're experiencing so much trouble with the translations and the crashes, but I thought you should probably know that I'm one of probably many people out there who really appreciate the effort you're putting into this project. So if it's of any help,
PLEASE TAKE MY ENERGY.
Okay, I'ma go back to being a lurker now.

Probably mandatory disclaimer so some people don't get bees up their arse: I don't have anything against MTLs, they're still people putting in time and effort (however minimal) that leechers don't. Being able to read Mandarin and a little bit of Japanese does help me understand what the MTL tries to convey sometimes, so it might be a little less brain-melting for me compared to most others. That being said, a proper translation is obviously always preferable, and I appreciate the efforts put into proper translations far more. It's like a donation, where you're not gonna be unhappy about getting a dollar bill, but you'll appreciate like that 50 dollar bill a whole lot more.

Anyway, I hadn't posted my translation yet, as it was only partially complete, when the F95 MTL thread went up. I saw how irritated people were with the quality, and I didn't want this game - which I think is wonderful - to be tarred by association. So I put up my current progress as an alternative. That's why whoever did the MTL has primary credit, while I'm only mentioned in the comments - I'm actually the hanger-on, in this matter!

Anyway, thank you again. I'm very happy you're enjoying this game as much as I am. I'll keep working on getting the full story of Umi and Kuru translated.
