The woman glares angrily still, but follows Enigmas commands... For now. The door opens to reveal a small, simply adorned room with a book shelf, a few chairs, and a fireplace. There wasn't anything valuable or intriguing at first glance, and her pet continued to glare daggers at her as Enigma cautiously examined the room from the doorway.

Re: A Greater Mystery (Keylo)

Well this is dull, next room~

Seeing that there was nothing of interest in this room, Enigma proceeded to head to the door on the right side of the altar. If there was nothing there, she would head to the remaining door to the right side of the church's entrance...

The second room is locked with a large padlock. She could try to find the key or break it down, or she could just move on.

Re: A Greater Mystery (Keylo)

Oh ho? What's this? A lock? Mmmm... don't think I can break this myself. Oh well, time for plan B then. Funny how Plan B tends to be better usually, wonder why people call it that?

Placing her fingers to her lips again for her usual spellcasting, that of invoking her powers by using the whistle as a focus of sorts, she caused that another golem should be made. Only, instead of using stones or earth for the main body, she instead uses the benches and other furniture within the church, using the leftover clay and earth from her previous golem to creates a giant earthen fist. Stepping out of the way, it was then that she made her orders and purpose clear.

"Alright now, be a dear and smash that door for me will you?"

((Animate... smash door with giant golem fist.))

Her newest creation slowly brings itself together, strands of blue light tying the various benches together as it rises and heads toward the door.

Body Check: 15 + 50 = 65 vs 60 = Success.

Using a trio of the benches that make up its body tipped in the earthen fist, the golem hammers into the door, intent on following its animators command. With a single powerful hit, the golem smashes the door in, the lock shattering and the door falling off of its hinges.

Re: A Greater Mystery (Keylo)

Pleased with the ease her golem had accomplished its task, Enigma relented from immediately dismissing it, instead giving it further orders while she peeked inside the now open-room.

"Mmhmm, good boy. Now go smash that other door near the entrance way in case its locked, and if its not...well smash it anyway to keep yourself occupied."

Having said this, the elf then looked inside the room which had just been opened...

Her golem slowly moved over to the entrance, the unwieldy thing clunking slowly along toward the entrance hallway. It'll take it a minute, and meanwhile, Enigma glances into the newly opened room.

It seemed to be some sort of storage area, with a great many shelves containing various things, as well as a desk close to the door. The shelves are all stacked differently, the one on the far wall being another bookshelf, the next being covered in glass bottles containing various things, the next being covered in strange stones, some of which are crystals, while the last, and the smallest, is covered in boxes of various sizes.

((Gah, brainfart.)

Why hello there!~ Bottles, crystals, boxes...so many wonderful things to look through! Must remember to stop by here again later and have them shipped to the lab when I have some more time.

Opting to search through the contents of the storage room later, Enigma walks past her pet and towards the last door, which the golem is currently pounding in...

The golem reaches the door just as Enigma turns toward it, and pounds on the door just as it had the last. It flies open easily, having apparently not been locked like the other door.

Her pet follows her over to the new odor, and Enigma finds that the door opens to a stone staircase leading up. There was also a trap door on the floor in the far right corner.

Re: A Greater Mystery (Keylo)

Extremely pleased by her find, Enigma takes a moment to praise her creation before reducing it back to its components.

"Quite the excellent construct you are! Superb work I say, superb work! Remind me to recreate you when I'm not so busy, mmm k? Dismissed for now though."

As her creation disassembled itself, the elf's attention turned to her pet, and that of the trap door.

"Well then pet pet, shall we go down for a bit, say a hour? Provided you're obedient, I'd be glad to feed you as you like...well, till daylight anyway. You have my word on that. If you're not though...well...no snacks for you I suppose...Sound fair enough? Yes? Good, let's be off then~ Exploration awaits."

With that, she lifted the trap door with her staff, and would descend down it provided there wasn't anything that leaped out at her immediately.

Her golem collapses to the ground, its parts forming a large pile of dirt and wooden benches and producing a good deal of noise.

The demoness only scowled and glared at her, and Enigma had the sudden inclination that she'd been making faces at her whenever she'd turned her back on the woman. Regardless, the trap door opened to reveal a set of wooden stairs leading down into a large dark room. With the limited lighting, Enigma could only see a few feet into the room, and couldn't spot anything moving.

Descending the ladder, Enigma found herself in a large room with a great many desks, shelves, and strange glass implements. It reminded her of her lab, but she also saw tunnels leading off in various other directions, all but one of which had thick iron bars across them rooted into the stone, preventing anyone from passing.

Re: A Greater Mystery (Keylo)

Ignoring the faces her "pet" was obviously making at her, Enigma descended down the stairway... to arrive at what appeared to be an underground lab, which was enough to send her entire thought process haywire again.

Reminds me of home! Or at least one of them. Underground, desks, shelves...well minus the papers. Wonder how those pile up anyway. Could swear someone dumped potions of mass propagation over the place or something...Are those tunnels I see?

Naturally however... the things that interested her the most were the underground tunnels, and where they led.

Miners? Shortcuts? Catacombs? Lets see where these catacombs lead~

"Come along now pet~ Distort your facial expressions later. Exploration calls. "

With that... she was marching off into the only unbarred tunnel...

The demoness didn't respond verbally, but continued without any complaint down the lone open tunnel after Enigma. The tunnel sloped downward and quickly darkened into blackness. After only a few steps, Enigma couldn't even see her hand if she waived it in front of her face, and thought that perhaps it would be best if she found some source of light.

Re: A Greater Mystery (Keylo)

Bugger, really can't see anything down here. Is there a torch around here somewhere? Lamp maybe?... Well, nothing here anyway. Perhaps back there in that lab? Always kept one myself somewhere on the shelves...Its the reasonable thing to do in any event.

With this thought process in mind, Enigma headed back towards the lab, to look for a lamp or something of the like. She would settle for setting a stick on fire to make a makeshift torch if she was without a choice however...

Perception: Success.

Searching the lab while her pet glares at her with glowing, blood red eyes, Enigma eventually finds a lamp on one of the shelves. It is already half filled with something, which Enigma guesses is oil from the smell. Pressing a little switch on it causes a flame to appear, the lamp provides ample lighting for the small tunnels.

"Excellent!~ Back off to exploration now! Come along dear, time is awasting. Time spent glaring is time better spent learning."

Lamp in hand and staff in the other, Enigma returned to the tunnel...

This time, her pet only grunts, still apparently determined to be as difficult as possible without outright disobeying the necromancer. She follows along behind Enigma, her eyes glowing blood red in the faint light cast by the lantern. The small unbarred tunnel, less than ten feet across and barely seven feet high, is well lit by the lantern, and Enigma spots numerous rats covered in small deformities crawling in various directions around the tunnel, most ignoring her and her pet, while others scurry into tiny holes in the walls.

The tunnel sloped downward, not sharply perhaps, but noticeably. The rats thin out as the pair travels deeper into the ground, eventually disappearing completely after a half hour of traveling down the musty old tunnel. The air also grows more and more stale, and begins to grow foul with the scent of decay. Enigma spots an end to the tunnel up ahead, as it opens into a wide chamber that she can only see a few feet into.

Re: A Greater Mystery (Keylo)

"Grunting is for cavemen dear, cavemen get chopped up and put into pots for the wolves to eat."

Absentmindedly dropping that comment off without going into further detail it was quite clear that Enigma was completely absorbed with the tunnel and all its oddities. The mutated mice, the stench of decay in the air...all of these things caused her mind to wander off greatly into elaborate theories as she pressed forward towards the source, curiosity and recklessness demanding she see for herself the cause.

I say, could this possibly have been caused by another necromancer? Haven't seen another one in ages really. Perhaps a wizard, doing mad experiments on corpses, there was that lab back there after all. Maybe even a demonic entity of sorts, what fun! Or perhaps...

Such were the thoughts in this hopelessly scatterbrained elf, as she advanced towards the wide chamber, completely undaunted.

((Action: Move to wide chamber.))

The woman actually sputters out a laugh, and says; "You really are totally insane aren't you?" Though Enigma just barely pays attention to her as she enters the chamber.

The room is much larger than the tunnel, easily fifty feet across, though the ceiling is still only about ten feet high. There is a single massive stone box in the center of the room, with many carvings on it. It had once been sealed, but thanks to having been involved in similar activities for so long, Enigma could tell that the seal on it had been broken. Enigma also spotted bones on the edges of the light cast by her lantern, skeletons of rats and mice and other pests that had gotten down here. She could feel something strange about this place as well, though she couldn't determine what exactly.

Re: A Greater Mystery (Keylo)

Paying little heed to the remark made by her "pet" as she entered the chamber, Enigma found herself...enthralled by her discovery.

"Astonishing! I do believe this is one of those 'forbidden tombs' I've heard so much about! Excellent! Wonder if the casket is still here somewhere, would be interesting to see what what was buried here...Ah! There it is!...Pity the seal's broken though."

Advancing towards the box, Enigma appears to be completely ignorant of the uncomfortable feeling in the air...that is, until she stopped midway all of a sudden, her tone slightly less lackadaisical.

"You know, after a few decades of necromancy, you 'really' can't hide from me for that long. Especially with that icky feeling you're giving off. Why not come out and say hello? Spirit, demon, daemon, whatever you are really."

No aggression in her tone, no malicious or killing intent...simply a calm statement to indicate to whatever was there that she knew of its presence, and was not as gullible as it might believe her to be...

It should also be noted that while saying this, she signed for her "pet" to stay just outside of the room, in case things grew messy...
