Wait, so you're looking to compare and contrast adventure games and simulation games?... Why? I thought it was pretty self explanatory already. I guess that means I'm just a genius like that then.
Adventure games when it comes to hentai usually takes the same formula you find in adventure games out on the market and simply puts a perverted twist to it. When I saw adventure games, obviously I don't mean things like Drake's Fortune or something. Since most, if not all, hentai games are made by smalltime developers with very limited funds. Therefore, most adventure games they make would be platformers, fetch quests, RPGs, and the like. I don't think many 3D games are made in the adventure genre since that would likely take an incredible amount of time and effort to create.
The appeal with this type of genre, I would guess, comes from the idea of having a deeper gameplay as well as the porn. Unlike simulation games, adventure games usually have you work for the porn, which some enjoy. Some adventure games also involve the player's imagination more. By creating their own world, the player must immerse themselves into it, which allows them to more freely imagine the situations the game presents. Meanwhile, simulation games bluntly presents an act of sex, which feeds more on the whole "That girl's naked! That's so hot!" instinct.
Games that I immediately think of that are considered adventure games are pretty much every RPG maker game, Drill, the Frank's Adventure games on Newgrounds, and the only 3D adventure game I can think of is Armored Fucker.
Now simulation games also follow a certain formula, though I don't think you'll find it in many on-market games. Basically, the game will usually present a sex position and allow you to interact with it, as if you yourself were the one in that position. For instance, a blowjob simulation game would usually present a girl on her knees and sucking off a guy. They would also give you options such as making her go deeper, stopping, finishing, and all that jazz. These games are usually much more simple since they usually only have that single animation of the sexual act.
The main appeal from this type of game, as I've already said, comes from the very concept of porn. Seeing a lewd act in turn makes you aroused. This requires a lesser amount of imagination; the only imagining you do is putting yourself into that position. Once again with the blowjob example, you imagine yourself receiving the blowjob. I usually play these games to blow some steam off since it's usually a quicker form of entertainment and asks less of your dedication to the game.
The interesting things about these two genres is that sometimes you may find them combined. Of course that doesn't always mean they're good. I consider the Meet n' Fuck series to be a hybrid since you can both explore and find simulations. Of course that depends of which game you're playing. Some are just full on simulations, others have a small map you can explore a little.
The first simulation games I can think of are things made by Zone, the Meet n' Fuck series, and pretty much every game in funny-games.biz.
You may have noticed that I didn't mention Linemarvel at all. That's because he's a genre of his own. It's called Run or Rape games, which are becoming more and more popular. Of course, that's not the topic here, so I don't think I need to elaborate on that.
Now there's one more thing I need to point out. I don't really care for your attitude. I pointed out earlier what the two games were and said that there wasn't much to explain since they were two completely different styles of gameplay. Then you seemed to have gotten offended and elaborated on what you were looking for. You said you were looking to compare and contrast the two, even though they're really self-explanatory. You also mimicked my own Google remark as if to say, "Yeah I know what they are. But I want an explanation anyway, dipshit." This only serves to confuse me even more. Differentiating the two isn't hard at all. I understand if you're just trying to make conversation around here, but couldn't you have thought of a better question at least?

Personally, I thought that was Dark being funny as hell. Someone's got that in their sig, I know that much. I think it might be Squid, but don't quote me. Always reminds me of Linemarvel's dedication at the beginning of Demon Girl.
