Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Anything about the planned list. For example the 'physical range' group was mentioned a few time to lack hard damage and was more multiple shots. due to that I ended up dropping my third planned Archer(Rita) to run a second pirate. Though now that I look at Maurette's art again... So I'll just place Beatorika back there.

Ok, lets have a general overview than.

---

Duelists: The setup is solid with Kurisa, Lucielle, Imeria and Ricca being the stars. The last one fills a very different role than other three, but is an awesome unit, that helps you from the moment you get her and translates to late game very well with her true damage (as a ranged support, not a dueler). Roana is an extremely useful unit due to her AW ability (status resistance) and allows you to laugh in the face of those pesky zombie dragons everyone else struggles with.

Other positions I would value less. Karma, who started as a god-tier unit, slowly rotated out for me. She is still nice, and her AW is useful. However, as power creep progresses, more and more often you encounter opponents that you can't kill before her skill runs out, making her much less valuable. Same problem about the angel - they make nice lightning rods, but you don't need that with Kurissa in your team. You have better units to kill swarms, and if you can't kill an opponent before time runs out, she fails as a dueler. Angel also needs good stats and you have access only to a gold one. Claudia is a useful princess, but she is still one of the weaker ones in the game. Especially since you have access to premium princesses.

---

Healers: Good list, though if you get access to Liana, you should definitely replace one of the priests. The stars here are Sedis (due to being the highest stats healer) and Sera (sue to the fact, that priest-warriors are a fundamentally broken class that allows you to work around one of the main limitations of missions).

---

Physical rear: Spica is the number 1 archer in this game (especially if you don't have Nanally its no contest). She alone fulfills 80% of your need for ranged physical damage. Bashira will do good as a secondary archer, though I am having very good results with the not-so-liked Rita. A vampire hunter is there for bonus damage to undead and combo with dancer. Maurette for me started as a gold farmer, but she is actually very useful with her skill AW. I never found a use for rangers and Monica is good only for increased drop rate of gems and minigun combo. Overall, you will usually use only 2-3 units from the list and rest will play a very niche role.

---

Magical rear: Witches are a peculiar class, where you usually want only 1 but sometimes need 4. Adelle and Bellinda will make a solid core and you can sometimes supplement them with gold/silver witches. Dark priest is a class that in theory I find very interesting and I also liked her storyline. In practice however, her usefulness is hard to tell until she gets AW. Shiho is a very powerful shaman, but I think you are better off using Kagura over her, due to the bonus damage for all your melee.

One thing that is missing on this list is a Necromancer. It might be hard to obtain one in English version if they opt to censor out Memento. However token generation is the most reliable way to deal with golems and you will have hard time finding a strategy for certain maps without one. The fact that they double-up as magic damage dealers is only an added bonus.

---

AoE rear: Again a tier where you usually want just 1 char but sometimes need 4. I would go for 1 solid 'core' AoE dd and have others at medium levels, for when you need them. We have a surplus of good bishops available: Noel for an awesome gold increase passive, Patra(premium) for gold farming, Eterna for black tier stats and Paula. This makes it hard for mages to find their spot, especially if they don't have an offensive ability, like Odette. I have an AW70 Janna, but ever since Maurtette skill AW I never find a need for a cannon user. Sorano is my favorite unit in game, but timing on some missions make her underperform. That makes her a poor candidate for your main AoE DD,. True damage in large AoE however is amazing.

As mentioned above, you want to have Noel for her AW passive (unless she is also censored?). Since you always want to have Noel in your party (minus subjugation missions) you want to raise her to be actually useful. After that you have room for maybe one more core AoE - likely Eterna or the premium mage. Others will play secondary role.

You have listed priest-warrior in the 'healer' category, so I will mention mage armor here. While you list mage armor in 'tank' category and they indeed are tanky, their main role is that of magical AoE damage dealer. Now, so far I was able to get by without a leveled mage armor. I see a lot of strategies using them however, and often I wish she was already usable. For a general player, I think it would be a worthwhile to obtain a mage armor.

---------
Assist: Late game Saki is great. Good damage, high aspd, AoE and assassination chance. Hores for magical ranged damage and Ricca for ranged true damage is likely all you need. Maybe one day there will be a map where you want the bow rider or the sailor, but same thing can be said about any unit.

--------
Anti-rush: I don't think that this number of rogues will ever be needed. Soldiers and Archers also help with rushes. It is theoretically possible to construct a map that will require several very cheap units deployed in different parts of map but I have not seen anything like that yet. When it comes you will likely be able to get away with using silvers. I would keep only one rogue - Betty, since she farms gold. Maybe the monk for some sort of aoe clear.

Note, that during early rushes valkyries and pegasus riders are useful, as they not only kill units, but also provide you with sortie.

-----
Tanks: You definitely want one strong heavy armor, and Bernice is a perfect candidate. Anya is an awesome unit both for her tanking and her damage. Between those two, your soldiers, priest warrior and mage armor you are unlikely to find a need for another tank. Maybe a DK for the high magic def and smaller block, which you sometimes want.

----------

Must get back to work, maybe I will finish the discussion later.

------

Petite - thanks for Christmas gifts. Yay !

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

The troll have 900 atk, the reason AW prince have no problem of tanking hit because his base def (+his own morale ability) basicaly negate most of the dmg.
Since i'm not sure what's your miranda def is, you might want to recheck her def whether she can tank 3 or 4 troll (AW) with her current def taking 900atk x number of troll tanked
Also i find this map is alot easier if you find a way to burst the troll down with fast atkspeed unit like ninja / archer (bashira if you have). (troll def100 / MR 10)
The map positioning also help as the position range enuff for skill like pegasus rider or anya to be able to hit the troll from the upper and bottom left position (while aoe-ing the rest of other mob incoming)

IDK what the def of aw prince is, but must be simply too high. I tried a couple of more runs, with an extra healer and a dark knight (which I believe lowers atk of all units during skill) (also I popped aw99 Eterna healing), I thought maybe rotating between dark knight skill, healer and tank skills it would be possible, but it is not. These trolls just last forever and troll me .D
I don't have vampire/dancers/bahsira, just maid Irene which I think it only helps the prince. Oh and miranda is 50cc61 def 454

Duelist: So unless I happen to get Sophie or we finally get the 'loli' units.. No point in having an Angel. As for the platinum princesses I thought Claudia was widely considered the best due to her true damage and her attack becoming range during that. Anyway if not Claudia who would you suggest Sherry?

Healers: The reason Liana isn't here is because she was placed as a premium to replace B Iris. So I'm not completely sure if we will get her event or not.

Physical rear: So I guess I won't need to add Beatorika to replace Maurette is that is the case. Just add Maurette if we are lucky enough to get her, and I can replace Ricola with Rita since Rangers don't seems to be that well noted or used.

Magical rear: Ya, I'd choose Kagura over Shiho, but since she shares an event with Noel so at the moment she is a no go. As for a necromancer was going to try and use spare SC to attempt to get the premium one since Momento is a possible out or she would be on the list.

AoE rear: Really? I thought Odette would have gotten much more use specifically due to her skill. I mean being able to give 20 MR to everyone doesn't seem like something to be taken lightly, and has definitely been a major help for me so far. Noel at current is being censored.

Tanks: You'd suggest Bernice over Miranda?

Well If you do come back to finish comments on the last three (Soldiers, Support, and Anti-swarm); I'll be looking forward to it.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

@Lafate

Claudia: I wouldn't go as far as saying she is the best when she is compared to Premium units or her Princess counterparts. She is the best option free players have as far as magic damage and true damage on a melee unit is concerned. She'll do fine a majority of the time, but eventually she'll be phased out in favor of more powerful "ace" duelists such as AW Anya. Power creep is another factor that will make her see less use in the far future, especially when enemies begin to have higher attack power. HP is another big factor in the future and it is why bulky (High HP/DEF) units are important. Nearly all of the Princesses suffer from this as well so it is not just limited to Claudia.

When compared to her Premium counterparts, she will have lower DPS because of her slower attack animation but it is not significantly low enough for her to be a bad unit. What she excels at is being able to deal significant damage to enemies with high MR. Since her Skill Awakening was a recent thing, you shouldn't make a decision for that fact alone when it is not going to be available when Awakening becomes available on Nutaku's version. It is going to be in the far future and by that time, the meta will shift and you'll have powerful units that will outclass her as far as general use is concerned. This doesn't mean she will be permanently sidelined. As long as she is still leveled up, then she will always be battle ready any time.

There will be encounters where Claudia's skill will be handy to have so don't let the negative parts about her affect your decision too much. Basically, she will be fine until the meta shifts into end-game territory (being able to handle boss encounters). Princesses will always find a use if you don't expect to use them for bosses.

As far as Sherry is concerned, it is only a fair comparison until you begin to compare their Skills and Skill Awakening. If you want to compare their Skill AW, then do not bother since their role as a unit becomes different than each other. By the time Skill Awakening becomes available, then you can make your own judgement at that time.

Here is a quick analysis for Sherry, which won't include skills (just so I don't get biased):
-Faster attack animation
-Even faster attack animation after Awakening (less likely for Sherry to let any goblins pass through)
-Unlikely to be at min-cost, but is more available if lucky with Summoning
-Better DPS (Not too significant)
-Similar stats

They're all good. Just use them and don't care too much about their fluff since you want them for being a magic damage-dealing melee unit.

If claudia is bad..... I'm not making her CR-4 during her last revival >.< (how much SC did i spend on here T_T)

I still found her really great on that true dmg specialy in in aigis nowday every enemy will have def and MR at same time (omg i miss the 0 MR lich :() so that atk speed slow for traded true dmg kind of balance out even its for most general enemy.

On another note her aw skill support will kill most enemy fast in 40s duration (quite long), unless they have a huge hp pool.
since mine still not AW50 yet (Currently CC70), i can't give the right number... but rought calculation at AW50 with prince and skill she should hit 1.3k true dmg as atk support

PS: need moarrr true dmg unit, enemy nowday just have too much def / MR.... and please make it event unit, not those black majin or hermit
Final Copy Sarasa: CR-5 7/10 skill (0 SC used) /Xmas + New yr event I'm ready.... 61SC + havent done the 4star mission

She's not bad and I would use her if I didn't have Sherry or Olivia. They're all the same (magic damage-dealing melee unit) until you dig deeper and want to see how they compare to each other.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Which remind me, regarding themis before wasn't she posted when used aw skill ther aw ability chance increase to 50% ? or that was false info
If its true she could become a realy glass canon princess there o_O (since her aw skill increase atk instead of def and aw ability 3x dmg)

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Themis' AW ability increases the crit chance to 25% instead of the default 10%.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Themis' AW ability increases the crit chance to 25% instead of the default 10%.

The default is 10%, when pre-aw skill active it become 25%... thats the original we know.
But we don't know whether if her aw skill further increase this chance.

and i just found the reason when i though it become 50%
These all sound fake, especially since the skill names have been masked. Though it's hard to tell anymore, but the last skill failing to list the block increase and the omission of one princess (Karma not Included) screams 'fake' to me.

(s; HP yx; attack zx; intervals between attacks shortened)
(s; attack yx; ranged attack; self: paralysis after skill ends)
(s; attack yx; true damage; intervals between attacks shortened)
(s; attack yx; ability 'sun blade' [太陽の刃] 50%) < Themis
(s; defence yx; attacks all blocked enemies)
__________________

These was before petite posted the real princess awaken skill...

Although in the princess aw skill there is nothing mention-ed about the change in themist proc rate on aw ability, when the aw skill is up
Edit: nvm the aw ability specialy mention it increase to 25% when skill triger

Fun stuff: AW59 themis 509atk / aw skill 2.1x multiplier + prince 20% morale + x3 for crit = 3848 magic dmg in 1 hit :p (she still squishy though)
Feel free to add more aw ability into effect (like sherry) or dancer... the multiplier is high, and reminder that themis is gold rarity and able to do that much dmg :p

Then wouldn't Monica with AW Skill+Dancer+Alchemist/Enchanter serve the same position, Maybe even a little better then Claudia's true damage?

3 to 4 units required for that purpose and available team slots is a big factor. The mission is another factor and how it wants you to place units. It also depends on availability of the units. There will be people that don't have a dancer because they started after Hana's event. An Enchanter is currently exclusive to the Premium summons, so that isn't a possibility and you shouldn't expect everyone to have one. An alchemist is available to nearly all players, but it's only half defense reduction and it wouldn't work too well with highly armored enemies.

Pretty much yeah for 15s duration :p
and after that long CD will hit her.

Btw Monica will have trouble fighting medium def enemy (since her atk 1/2-ed thats less than 400 dmg with prince) without her dancer / enchanter / alchemist
and a 40 dmg /hit at 5.5xhit/sec for 15s duration is not high dps :D

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Lafate:

Claudia: I think the only problem with Claudia is that she has the largest difficulty shoring up her defensive weaknesses. Sherry(250 range AoE), Lilia(x2 ATK/DEF), Louise (DEF/Block), Sybilla(280 range) and Olivia (Dodge 100% 15 seconds) all do a better job of avoiding damage(or just tanking it) when required, as Claudia's AW skill range is difficult to use with its poor range.

Even if she's not an Ace duelist or whatever she can still get plenty of use as a general combat unit and has true damage when you need it.

Maurette: Having seen Maurette's scenes she should almost certainly make the cut, she is way less contentious than many of the units Nutaku has already. She is a really good gold unit and probably one of the best TP investments.

Mages and Bishops: Bishops have their AW skills, mages do not. That and the additional +20 range bishops have is usually worth the somewhat lower attack stat and slightly increased cost. Some bishops even get attack multipliers, which mages sorely lack.

I suspect this dynamic will change with the release of mage AW skills, if Esther, the black mage's incredibly strong AW skill, is any indication. Sasha has substantially more DPS than any bishop that isn't using a skill already(higher ATK/cast speed) and Garania's AoE skill is actually pretty powerful. Give them a moderate multiplier of x1.5-x1.7 or so and people would flock to them. People love damage.

Odette: +20 MR is great, when it matters. When you need more damage or the magic resist isn't necessary, it's useless.

Bernice/Miranda: For the purposes of being a heavy armor, a defensive unit that blocks dudes while taking limited damage, Bernice is a far better unit when it counts. On Generic mobs Miranda is perfectly acceptable, but Defense up skill and Bernice's black tier defense makes a huge difference.

It's a bit strange how many offensive heavy armors there is - but anyway, there's a reason not many videos have Miranda or that gold male I conveniently forgot the name of.

Soldiers: Liselotte is really good, her stats are substantially higher than Katie's and Aria's, so she'll be best for the purposes of tanking bigger mobs. She would also be the one I AW skill first. I'd use Katie and Aria as your pure ramping soldiers.

Support: You'll get the most use out of dancers and Nutaku's only rearguard tactician(Aisha just isn't going to happen) when she finally gets her Attack + affection change. Mitra is solely for huge enemies. Vanguard tacticians are better than they used to be, will pay for themselves if placed early and boost party Attack when maxed but may occasionally be difficult to place due to their poor defenses, and Alchemists... well, are kind of meh. It's downright hard to take advantage of their defense debuff due to the short range and limited duration. Also, the most dangerous mobs with high defense may still have defense too high to reliably damage. So meh.

Anti-Swarm: The swordmasters are the most popular for this. Isabelle is used in situations where you also need ramp or consistent wave clear. I'd probably use Akane over Maple as self-paralysis is a no go for me on a unit that is mostly for stomping on small-medium size swarms. To be honest, in the modern DMM meta, with AW prince and such, I'd probably not bother with a samurai unless you have Shizuka(who is usually better against the kinds of enemies Samurai fight/has an op AW passive). But on Nutaku, where you may not even get Chloe and the most viable alternatives are a black angel and units you may not even have a year from now, they may be more viable.

Lol, I actually hate Chloe, but she was important for the progress of the game.

The general slipshod progression of events and the complete lack of some fundamental units(Nutaku has Hina and Shiho but not Claire or Mischa) has given credence to the theory that the dev team just doesn't give a damn about Nutaku.

I am quite content on DMM as a side note. :p

Wait why would Katie and Aria be primary rampers if Liz is arguably a better Soldier and has the proper skill?

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Wait why would Katie and Aria be primary rampers if Liz is arguably a better Soldier and has the proper skill?

All AW skill soldiers with buffs need to wait until their buffs are complete for their cooldown to start again, so they are less effective for pure ramp but more effective as general combat units.

Alternatively, you can just keep Liselotte non-AW skilled, or level two of them.

My Liselotte will not be AW skilled personally since I have AW skill Zenobia and she is the best as a combat soldier with her ATK/DEF x2 and AoE proc.

If claudia is bad..... I'm not making her CR-4 during her last revival >.< (how much SC did i spend on here T_T)

Oh for fuck sake .... During her revival we told you like million times that making her -3 is more than enough! Stop bitching about it.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

I have a question a bit of topic, but here it is, do events repeat themselves during the year or in the following years, since the dmm version of the game has been around for longer i wondered that, and also because i missed quite a few event units, or is that the revival missions purpose to bring event units back for a short while just to never see them again? THanks

So no need to spend SC during the event maybe? (wishful thinking... don't think you can get -3 without SC).
