RPG [Alicesoft] Beat Blade Haruka ( Official English Release)

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

Shame about the delay, but obviously better in the long run for them to have a smooth launch.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

The delay is kind of cosmic humor in a way, as now Haruka is coming out exactly 8 years after its original launch, the 29th of February.

And a question for the mods I guess, but shouldn't official translation release threads like this go in the translation sub-forum? I mean it is about a translation that is coming out, or is the fact its a paid release make that a no? Just wondering.

This is translated by mangagamer, not people in this forum. So this wont go in translation sub-forum.

What exactly is the gameplay like? I cannot find any videos at all, nor images.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

Something of an explanation by the translator? You have dice which are generated daily by your libido level, and using these you try to pass checks. You then use these dice to pass checks for the vanilla h-scenes or training during the day and evening portion(or search for enemies). At night you use your powered up girls in a simple turn based combat game.

Like Monster Girl Quest, this game has a lot of lose h-scenes. Any unique enemy has two. If you want to get them easily you have a combat command to lose at any time. Otherwise you see if the numbers your character has from the day portions are good enough to win. The combat is fairly simple, as most of the game is about raising the girls.

From what I hear the game isn't really that hard(which helps with getting everything, the game has at least 6 full routes, each heroine having two based on how you treat them plus a harem route and several bad ends), but is one of the best nukige in Japan.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

The second heroine starts with a quite high energy score, so it's easy to get right off the bat two skills, for example, to avoid traps in the dungeon, and always get items in the chests.
That means this particular gal has an easy way to become much stronger fast, since once you get the third dungeon skill she will avoid enemies, traps, and always open chests. It's useful for a first run, if you don't want to think too hard.

AFAIK routes were six, four good routes (harem + three heroines), two evil routes (the two main heroines with the MC as evil), but it's been a while since I last played it, so I don't recall correctly.

Can't wait to get it!

Looks amazing

Yep, that's correct. Official translations are fine to be posted here. The Translation sub-section is really for people who are making fan translations of games.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

Ok, beat blade haruka is out on mangagamer.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

It's out as in people who bought it can download it, but you can't buy it yet. Seems the processor is taking longer then expected, but they didn't wan to make buyers wait any longer. Hope they can still manage to get sales considering Haruka will probably be piratable in the hour.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

Wonder if the uncensored CGs can be ripped and patched onto the original game.

My hope is that it sells good and they start to translate bigger and better games, not just "nukige" or even worse... when it cant even be called nukige...

Ironically I'm waiting to buy tokyo babel if they sell it on steam.

I pre-ordered back in Jan so I got my copy. Played 4-5 hours so far. It's pretty good. The game systems are a bit wonky, but I like it. CGs good, the storyline is pretty decent too. Worth buying for sure, especially to support Translations/Alicesoft for the west.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

I pre-ordered about a month ago as well. I haven't had a chance to play yet but I remember the JP version being fun to play. I won't post a link for a while at least since I really do want this game to sell well. Please buy it if you can.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

yeah, i will be buying it myself. if pirated copies leak first, i'll download it of course to enjoy it, but i will pay as soon as i can. no way i'm letting an alicesoft game NOT be supported in official english.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

Holy shit, this is a huge leap for Alicesoft to officially license a game for filthy gaijin. I need to buy this ASAP.

Re: Beat Blade Haruka (Alicesoft - Official English Release)

It's pretty good so far, though I'm wondering if anybody knows what to put into cheatengine to let me adjust my peace points? I'm left in the situation most AliceSoft games leave me in where a mix of bad luck, no skill and the game being balls hard has me circling the drain on a playthrough.

For everyone who intends to purchase the game, Mangagamer finally got their paygate up. Apparently it will be down again at 3PM PST, and who knows when it will be back up. Anyway, you can finally buy Haruka if you waited before this whole issue began.

Let's hope it broke because of all the people buying the game. I know I'm being stupidly optimistic here but if this does well enough there might be a slim chance Rance IX will get an official translation.
