Damn, I haven't seen any of that footage before. That grenade he uses looked awesome. I wish more games gave me grenade detonators. Is this a sign of things to come in the future? Could Duke Nukem forever actually get released and allow gamers around the world to finally play it after waiting for so long? After so long I'm rather skeptical but still...
If this game actually comes out ill buy three fucking copy's and whatever downloadable content comes out.

So... a new trailer... and new footage. I did like the pipe bomb with detonator like in the original game. But the graphics weren't that impressive, the environments weren't impressive, the enemies weren't impressive...
All in all, the video didn't really make me want to play Duke anymore. It's just another tease, something like the Too Human game, which took a decade to come out, and ended up being... not very good.

Graphics-wise, I don't see why people are bitching, it looks awesome.
Monster-wise, the underwater thing looked cool, but yeah, they could do with some better enemies... maybe talk with the people at 2K Games (Bioshock) or EA Redwood Shores(Dead Space).
The environments.... okay, I'll bite, they weren't that great. I mean, they have potential, but since the game never got further than teasers, there's nothing to connect the environments, so they really don't seem coherent with each other.
His new lines.... wtf. "Boom, heheh" is FUCKING OLD, about the only one I really liked was "Not another puzzle". He needs to say something like "Get the fuck off my nuts, asshole," or "Die already, you've got enough bullets in ya." Yeah, there are better lines out there, but those at least would resonate with not only Duke's character, but with gamers as well, because lets be honest, we've all said those lines at least once or twice in games we've played, or some variation thereof.
As for weapons... not much you can do, really, since everything's been done. I liked the pistol and the grenade. What I'm guessing was the machine gun was cool too. What Duke REALLY needs is a gun that shoots lightning and shurikens... that's on fire... with tits.

Something should be done with Duke eventually. Maybe those guys at 3-D realms will end up losing ownership over Duke Nukem and another company, now with the right to the character and stuff, will make a Duke Nukem game. Or maybe nothing will ever happen.

I'm fairly certain that their.. I think it's the publisher can basically do this because they were promised via contract a game and with the company going belly up can take the work and hand it over to another team to finish it.
I'm also fairly certain it won't happen. As much as they'd be guaranteed a fair amount of sales because it's bloody Duke Nukem Fornever, there are some things you just don't want to touch and in the end, it really is just a sub par FPS thesedays.

Not ALL the way over, but probably look at some of the new innovations that have come out since when they originally planned to make it, as well as make it seem like this new game ACTUALLY HAS A FUCKING STORY when they release teaser stuff. Yeah yeah, as if Duke was about the story to begin with, but at least the old ones the story was pretty much straight-forward: You are a bad-ass that likes guns and women. Aliens have taken these things away from you, and you want them back. (Okay, maybe that wasn't the ACTUAL storyline, but that's how it went in my head.)
I mean, it's really no that hard to make up a story for Duke, since you really don't HAVE to strictly tie it to previous games. Playing a Duke Nukem game is like watching a Saturday morning cartoon show - a violent, profanity-heavy cartoon with various nude women, but a cartoon nonetheless; there's no need to tie it to a previous show, just make sure you use anything that's a recurring theme in the new one.
As long as they have boner-inducing guns and women that nearly get it an AO rating, as well as quotes that make you shit your pants in fear, I don't think the story will matter too much to most, though.

With all these first person shooters that are like Modern Warfare these days a new Duke Nukem would be refreshing. I miss that one liner spewing pop culter rip off.
