There is this bit in the last post I actually missed on first reading the last post :
"The schedule is undecided, but we plan to replace the trial version with Ver2.00 a few days before the release."

And now I'm done, cause I've spent too long arguing about fucking porn. Jeebus...

I think that's the thing where people starting to suspect it wasn't going to be releasing. Since the dev posted on DLSITE the game would be LATE MAY, as soon as 3 days were left in may they started wondering whats was going on, there was even a comment asking if the trial was updated and because of the last blog post.

Since there was nothing of nothing, the shitstorm started happening once we started on june

Sure, i'll give him some extra days, i think i'll give some chances till either 15-20 of june for the dev to at least say "Hey, yeah i didn't think i would be able to release-- yada yada", and if nothing happens then yeah, i'll have to get the mentality of you guys of "It will release when it releases" and give up

Well "at least" DLSITE has removed partial scheduled release date to TBC on his DLSITE Profile, the DLSITE RJ code still has it as "Late may"

Therefore now it's up to the dev to "confirm" when is he even gonna release the game

Apparently some people on /vg said that the dev CLOSED comments in his ci-en (lastest "update"), just decided to check it out and yeah, only the last update. I would understand the whole situation cause imagine getting spammed everyday

Not gonna like though, there has been really bad luck with some ci-en devs trying to release something, not meeting deadline, stay silent and then disappear.

Weird, it was open as of this morning, so at least we know the Dev is still alive.
But yeah I totally get why they would close it, it was getting a little out of hand.
It still sucks there's no update for sure, but...like...patience is a virtue.

It is, but it is also seldom afforded those that don't ask for it..

Little sad that we're now soon to be 2 months without an update. Other than the creator stymieing the abuse they're getting (Probably for the best though)

The next day you say nothing, to no one, least of all the site, and more people ask if the game is being released. THE HORROR!

The following week, DLsite apparently having no word from you changes the status to no release date at all, and visitors to your blog use your own joke about being buried. THE ABUSE!

And when every day a couple new posts show up, and you haven't replied to them for weeks, and they pile up to a bare handful, that's "out of hand". Did you even check the site to see how many of that "out of hand" response was non-abusive messages that pre-dated the release date and were only in that thread because the author hadn't bothered to create a new one? Untended mailboxes fill. Hope this revelation doesn't shock you or interrupt your narrative of evil people driving the author out of development. I was watching that thread every day, and this fiction of massive floods of spammers and abusers is a lie, there was only a few most days.

How dare they demand someone dash off a short note! But yeah, the author is totes a victim.

I heard somewhere... amatsuchiya often do such a thing.
Post a new article for first time in long time. and do it few times more, talk about release date, when the time comes, nothing about anything, just silence. and 3 months later, SakiQue came out.
Wait 3~4 months more.
But, yeah, no offensive. He gave up finishing SakiQue by offensive comments.
BTW, He said that He 'hoped' that teique is released this month, at least, he didn't said he will.
And, guessing by leah the chosen one, scheduled release date of DLSite, If the game isn't released in the date scheduled, the system automatically change it to undefined.

I agree with your point about their own joke, completely brought that on themselves, I even raised that point myself.

I guess I just don't see the point in getting so fucking angry about porn.

It's not like you're even paying for it? And even if you did donate to them, it specifically states that you shouldn't do it if you're expecting anything from it,
that it's a purely good faith donation.

There's literally no reason to waste the energy on anger over it,
just...go play something else? Expect nothing, be pleasantly surprised when there is something, win/win for everyone.

I don't agree with your characterization that people are "so fucking angry". You've provided zero, zip, notta to support this extreme characterization of his fans. Asking for an update on when the game is coming out is normal fan behavior, not a temper tantrum. Heck, it can be looked at as proof people are looking forward to it.

People can lecture all they want about how he disappeared before and came back with the game, but unless you have a way of translating that into Japanese and literally projecting the thought into people's minds BEFORE they write any blog comments, then people are going to ask tomorrow where the game is. And someone else is going to ask the next day, because PT Barnum was right about a new commenter being born every minute.

I was actually specifically talking about you in that case, your condescension in your previous post, sheer reluctance to just let a point go, that sort of thing.
Besides, I can't provide examples now since it's locked. Obviously since the author was sick of it. Which in and of itself is kind of proof anyway.

I have no problem with people excitedly looking for updates, as I've said countless times myself, I want an update and am definitely disappointed we haven't gotten one.
But I don't feel *entitled* to one. And a lot of the posts weren't asking for updates, rather demanding them. And that's bullshit.

Highly doubtful.

I do feel this dev either killed it or it was a classy "more than he could chew", and as people say, it is better now to wait for whenever this dev has the courage to update again (since he even said something about burying himself if he didn't release the game on time.... Which he didnt) or keep silent until one day
