Re: Harem Collector
Just now i dont know games that could help with the satisfaction menu, however perhaps my view of it could help.
I suppose you did the satisfaction menu based on sengoku rance, based on it there are a few differences that you may have noted:
-In sengoku rance it could increase troop numbers or quality, however this is a rpg game so it would make sense that the satisfaction points could be used to increase a bit the stats by using points in a training or something that could be made as much as you want
-Another thing that could be added is to increase the girls affection be it as a passive bonus (+1 or 2 per day) or as an unique one (+10).
-Then there could be an option to increase invests revenue, be it some specific one or more globally.
-Personally the visuals of the satisfaction menu i think it could be upgraded to make it more appealing, having an unique panel helps quite a bit.
This would give more importance to the satisfaction menu, however it would need more ways to earn satisfaction than it is now.
What most games like to do is the typical "unlock options", what i mean is for example that because of a certain event your character gets an idea or something that becomes part of the satisfaction menu. In fact some quests one way or another may add something to that menu if it makes sense.
Another thing that could be useful is to use it to make some events "fall back", for example let's suppose that in the future you are hostile with the church and they will attack soon, then give options to make the attack weaker or to sabotage it so that it needs more time. The thing is how integrated it is in the game.
Hmm... Well I've got a few ideas as to some ways that might help improve the investments but I will say don't get your hopes up, the game has already suffered quite a bit of feature creep which has made the game a lot bigger than it was before, though with the new investment system that I made helping add a bit more depth to the investments isn't entirely out of the question... Especially since some of us min-maxers have been finding the investments rather wanting in monetary value with the later game quests out-classing the total value you get from investments (without the aid of the Timetuner that is). Also thanks for mentioning Alone XP, I'll check it out sometime when I've got a chance to see if it would help give us some ideas that would work well for us.
If I may, do you have any more specific suggestions or games that you might think are a good example of a more interesting satisfaction menu? While I again can't promise any specifics about what'll happen with the satisfaction menu, I at least have been having a bit of trouble placing my finger on ways to improve the satisfaction menu as a whole.
