Re: Battle & Breeding
(I definitely appreciate backstory too, but would love for people to get in on the worldbuilding as well, since it lets me call upon things you've made that aren't directly related to your character. You can feel free to make up other stuff as applicable too; characters, locations, or history.]
As soon as Arkeia descended the stairs, a familiar chill ran down her spine. The undercroft was trapped; every nook and cranny of it. Judging by the faint shimmer of runes, some of them were magical too. At the far end of the dank chamber, Arkeia could see an altar in the gloom, illuminated by a single ray of light from somewhere above.
The pirate ran her eyes across the room. Three paths; presumably tests at one time. The first ran across the center of the room, a series of constructed platforms and ropes over a shadowy pit. Arkeia raised her lantern. Something writhed in the pit, and that something reeked of cum. Arkeia had a feeling that the corrupted altar above had invited some less than welcome guests into the gauntlet. Well, at least the fall wouldn't be lethal...
The second path was a series of chamber with heavy mechanical workings suspended above them, guarded by razor wire. Each chamber seem to have some sort of deadly challenge, powered by the clockwork. There were likely multiple ways to solve each room, and of course the girls had the advantage of multiple challengers, but on the other hand, disabling clockwork could be very, very tricky...
The corruption of the altar above was very clear in the third path, as the once shimmering holy runes were run through with purple veins of corruption. The path appeared to be an arena, suspended above the same pit of writhing tentacles that formed the acrobatic challenge. Presumably, the test once summoned an angel for a trial by combat, but who knew what kind of foul creature it would call now?
Party Action:
---Take the acrobatic path (everyone in the party has to make the tests, though you can help each other with clever plans and the tests are relatively easy; no chance of dying, but falling in risks a tentacle gangbang if the rest of the party doesn't act fast)
---Take the mechanical path (uncorrupted, but difficult. Only takes one person to disable the device, and each person can test, but the tests are hard, and failure can be very painful)
---Take the magical path (the combat path, the runes have been corrupted to summon demons, rather than angelic duelists to test the challengers. The difficult is going to be determined by a die roll on a chart if it's chosen.)
