Re: Battle & Breeding

(I definitely appreciate backstory too, but would love for people to get in on the worldbuilding as well, since it lets me call upon things you've made that aren't directly related to your character. You can feel free to make up other stuff as applicable too; characters, locations, or history.]

As soon as Arkeia descended the stairs, a familiar chill ran down her spine. The undercroft was trapped; every nook and cranny of it. Judging by the faint shimmer of runes, some of them were magical too. At the far end of the dank chamber, Arkeia could see an altar in the gloom, illuminated by a single ray of light from somewhere above.

The pirate ran her eyes across the room. Three paths; presumably tests at one time. The first ran across the center of the room, a series of constructed platforms and ropes over a shadowy pit. Arkeia raised her lantern. Something writhed in the pit, and that something reeked of cum. Arkeia had a feeling that the corrupted altar above had invited some less than welcome guests into the gauntlet. Well, at least the fall wouldn't be lethal...

The second path was a series of chamber with heavy mechanical workings suspended above them, guarded by razor wire. Each chamber seem to have some sort of deadly challenge, powered by the clockwork. There were likely multiple ways to solve each room, and of course the girls had the advantage of multiple challengers, but on the other hand, disabling clockwork could be very, very tricky...

The corruption of the altar above was very clear in the third path, as the once shimmering holy runes were run through with purple veins of corruption. The path appeared to be an arena, suspended above the same pit of writhing tentacles that formed the acrobatic challenge. Presumably, the test once summoned an angel for a trial by combat, but who knew what kind of foul creature it would call now?

Party Action:
---Take the acrobatic path (everyone in the party has to make the tests, though you can help each other with clever plans and the tests are relatively easy; no chance of dying, but falling in risks a tentacle gangbang if the rest of the party doesn't act fast)
---Take the mechanical path (uncorrupted, but difficult. Only takes one person to disable the device, and each person can test, but the tests are hard, and failure can be very painful)
---Take the magical path (the combat path, the runes have been corrupted to summon demons, rather than angelic duelists to test the challengers. The difficult is going to be determined by a die roll on a chart if it's chosen.)

Re: Battle & Breeding

"Aye, that's the plan," said Karaz. "Maybe we can recruit the remnants of the nuns into being our vassals, eh? Supposin' they aren't possessed an' all." she declared with a chuckle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walking back into the church, it came time to find this idol. The specter seemed canny to just let them pass without much harassment. "With yer permission, ungi," Karaz directed at the corpse of the mother superior. "I shall make use of some of the relics we found in order to overcome the corruption below. Here's to hopin' you don't mind holy enchanted gear being put to use against evil." she stated. it sounded obvious, but she knew better than to combine logic and religion.
If Karaz had permission, she'd take out the featherweight shoes and offer them to the least physically capable looking member of the team, Alia. "With this, we ought to be able to cross the ropes, all of us. No damned traps or runes. Just some good old fashioned swingin'" she declared.
(Karaz wishes to take the acrobatic path, giving the boots she acquired to give a bonus roll to whoever will have the most trouble jumping across.)
Lore: Forethought and logic are a rarity among dwarves. Karaz Drengi is an exception half due to her not being a dwarven male, and half due to her not undergoing normal dwarven parantage. Normally, dwarves are hardly useful for conversation. They speak in a straight forward manner, and believe that any problem can be solved with fighting, beer, and gold. If none of those options somehow work, then you're simply not hitting the problem hard enough with an axe. Karaz being a more crafty dwarf is what made her ostracized to begin with. Though ironically, it is the most crafty of dwarves that become leaders. However, a woman would normally never be accepted as a leader. The dwarves have a bizzare fixation on beards, and lacking that, females are never treated with as much respect as men. Thus, the public rape of Karaz can only be avenged by Karaz herself.
Re: Battle & Breeding
Alia surveyed the three paths from behind the rest of the group, grimacing at the smell coming out from the pit. "Lovely. A simple stairs and corridor were too much to ask for, huh?" The mage grumbled, shaking her head. "Still, jumping over to the other side is probably our best bet. Doesn't look as complicated or dangerous as the other ones, just a little tricky." Turning her head to regard Karaz, the mage raised an eyebrow. "Uh, thanks. I can probably handle myself if need be, though. I did manage to reach that trap in the library." She pointed out, reminding the group she wasn't as clumsy as she looked. "I'm not as unfit as I seem, swinging a bloody scythe around takes physical strenght and coordination, you know." She glanced at the lizardgirl. "How do you fancy your chances, Faeyna?"
(Swinging and jumping it is.)
Lore: Mages are for the most part organized into guilds that operate out of major cities and keep in touch with each other, forming a larger body together. Each guild typically runs a school, various businesses to fund it's activities, maintains labs and libraries and generally provides mages with resources needed to perfect their craft and research. Some mages choose to operate entirely on their own, usually wandering the country. These "walking wizards" are typically looked down at by guilded mages, as their motivations involve either getting rich, lust for adventure or a desire to probe magic paths that aren't well regarded by the guilds. Still, they're tolerated as long as they don't interfere with guild business or become criminals, mostly because locals - including influential lords, sometimes - find it often easier and cheaper to hire a wanderer and thus find their existence convenient. Not to mention, wandering mages are often adventurers and travel in company.
"Heh, surprise you aren't lookin to take the path that'll have you fightin demons!" Arkeia replied after Alia, grinning at Karaz. "I'm all kindsa fine with taking that path. Reminds me of me old life!" As before, she would lead the way towards their prospective path, the one suspended over the tentacle pit. Her eyes narrowed as she looked down at the myriad of waving limbs, hoping that they wouldn't have to try and extricate anyone from down there.
Re: Battle & Breeding
Faeyna hums, approaching and looking over the path the others seem interested in. Looked tough, but then, maybe it was wroth the dance practice. she had some ideas to help.
"I can just fly over it. Maybe I can set up a rope set on the other side so everyone can instead just climb over? Plus I can call up vines that might be able to make a safety net before they fall into... That."
She stretched a bit, studying the trial a bit, making sure there wasn't anything that might interfere with her shapeshifting prior to making the attempt, casting Detect Magic.
Lore: The term Broodknight is a grave insult amidst lizardfolk. At the core, lizardfolk are a communal species for the most part, raising offspring as a group and ensuring they can develop skills for survival and growth suited to the bloodlines they contain. Broodknights however are those who seek to reproduce great amounts of offspring to use them as a means for selfish advancement and as weapons.
Lizardfolk Broodknights are almost entirely female due to matriarchal nature of their species lending itself to more ambition. They tend to be solitary selfstyled Lizard Queens, who make use of a concentrated doze of corrupted pheromones to render themselves permanently alluring to most species, taking advantage of their capacity for crossbreeding to make powerful warbeasts.
The most dangerous however are rogue Forktails, as their capacity to reproduce as both males and females means that no creature is safe, and a quiet swamp can soon dis engorge a massive scaled army of beasts and hybrids from countless wombs, a ravening horde that only disperses once the Broodknight is dealt with. Add in their magic and it's a fearsome combination.
Any species can have their equivalents to the Broodknights and may have their own names for them. Gnolls often worship their "Demon Queens", gnoll matriarchs touched by corrupt forces to be extra fertile herms that ensure all offspring are demonic gnollish forces rather than any crossbreed, tainting their eggs for a few months so offspring with any species still produces gnolls after the fact. Kobolds tend to subjugate their "Egg Pantries" in magical bondage and use them more as totems bound up in enchanted leather bonds that stimulate them to drop a clutch each day, even without sexual contact.
It's worth noting that Broodknights are defined by their selfishness and generally treating their offspring as tools. Nothing prevents a well meaning individual from leading an army of hybrid offspring and beasts to defend others by any means, but they wouldn't be a true Broodknight in the definition of the lizardfolk term. But the social stigma tends to be significant after the 100th time some tyrant has tried to rule with it, nevermind religious condemnation, and those who would use the same tactics for good reasons will find the onus is on them to prove time and time again their intentions.
Re: Battle & Breeding
(A single rope stretched across isn't going to make things any easier; hanging upside down from a rope while tentacles attack you is probably at least as hard as jumping across platforms. Making a net with entangle could definitely help though!)
[This challenge will be a series of 3 skill tests; failing doesn't send you into the pit, it just leaves you hanging, which might attract the tentacles. Failure by 5 or more drops you into the fuckpit. You get to pick which challenge you want to do each round.]
"I... I... I can stay behind... right??" Darla whined, swaying with terror.
It was easy to see why. Wooden platforms swayed and spun on thick chains, powered by clockwork mechanisms high above. Between them, needle-like pillars jutted up from the writhing darkness like teeth, and weighted ropes hung sullenly, like snakes. There were many ways forward, and none of them appealing.
[Remember that making your post interesting or sexy is a +1. It's your discretion if you made enough of an effort to justify a small bonus.]
Each character has the choice of (first round is all physical; the latter will use other skills):
---Long jumping across the moving platforms: STR+Physical DC 14
---Jumping across the tiny pillars: DEX+Physical DC 14
---Swinging across the unevenly spaced ropes: MND+Physical DC 14
Faeyna can, of course, fly across, but that will leave her alone against anything on the other side...
Dunno if we're supposed to keep rolling until we succeed or not, but if so the
"I'm afraid you might have to come across at some point, but we'll see!" Arkeia replied to Darla's whining, grinning as she pick her way forward. Sizing up the various routes, the piratess glanced at the other two options briefly before settling on jumping across the pillars. "Do try to keep up," she announced arrogantly to the others as she took up a position and then leaped forward towards the nearest pillar on the route she'd picked out.
She landed cleanly on one foot and then leaped forward again, using her momentum to continue and maintain her balance while carefully shifting her direction to continue in the direction that she wanted to go. Unfortunately, while her strategy was sound and got her fully halfway across the pit in seconds, the thin pillars had apparently suffered some degradation over the years, or perhaps some of them had been deliberately sabotaged to make the test harder. Either way, one of them crumbled suddenly underfoot just as she landed, and with a startled shout Arkeia began to fall, her heel sliding forward on the crumbling rock.
Down she went, only to catch herself with one hand on the partially crumbled pillar just before she plummeted all the way. Her fingers barely kept their hold, and streaming curses she made the slow turn necessary to get her other hand on the pillar before she fell. Her thighs wrapped around the stone for a bit more grip, but unfortunately for her she had attracted the attention of the tentacles below. Her hips gyrated a bit as she began to inch up, using her whole body, but her upward momentum stopped suddenly as she felt something brush against her ass.
The tentacles had reached up toward her, one of them at first but more soon following. It brushed across the round surface, slimy ooze trailed across her skin and cloth to trace its path. Whether it sought purchase or entry she couldn't tell, but it was soon joined by more of its brethren as they began to rub across her taught bottom. One slipped between her cheeks, her clothes tight due to her posture, and brushed against her folds through her clothing. The piratess gasped harshly and blushed at the unwanted touch against her delicates, and a second stroke nearly caused her grip to fail and her to fall into the pit.
That was about enough of that, however, and she hastily scrambled up the pillar, away from the tendrils that luckily hadn't found anything to grab onto that might drag her down into their grasp. She was panting heavily by the time she was all the way up, and not purely from exertion, but she quickly got up to a crouch and started back on her way, blushing with shame. When she arrived, she glanced back at her bottom and scowled, seeing it coated in slime. She did her best to wipe herself clean, but sadly didn't have much to work with on that front and mostly just got tentacle goo all over her hands and backside.
Re: Battle & Breeding
"If you don't think you can make it, it might be better for you to stay. We'll figure something out on our own." Alia replied, stepping forward. The mage gave each path a calculating look, trying to pick the best one for her. The thin pillars... She could probably make it, but jumping on such small areas wasn't her strongest suit. She'd have an easier time going for long jumps between the larger platforms, having the strenght to make them if she tried hard. Still, the ropes appealed to her most - less physically strenuous, more about timing. And the mage had confidence in her calculating mind.
Approaching at an angle that brought her closest to the ropes, Alia slowly began to warm herself up. She started by stretching her body, trying to ignore the way her bare chest kept moving as she did so. Damn, this was going to be annoying. Still, she'd have to bear with this somehow, at least until she got her clothing fixed. In the meantime, she did several exercises to get her blood pumping and loosen up the joints, calmly getting ready for the challenge ahead. She carefully observed the ropes, noting their spacing, mentally calculating the momentum necessary and timing for the jump. Crouching down, the mage got into a starter position.
Then, on some unspoken signal, Alia took off, leaping off the edge and grabbing onto the first rope. As the rope swung forward, she swung her body with it, back and forth, matching it's movements as she built up momentum for the next leap. Then, as she once more moved forward, the woman let go at just the right moment when her velocity reached maximum. She flew forward like a bird, deftly catching onto the next rope, letting herself swing forward before letting go, almost flying through the air as she continued to progress further with near perfect precision, making maximum use of the speed she built up and her leverage. Even without the boots from Karaz, she rushed forward with undeniable grace as she made her way to the other side.
passed easily without any bonuses.
Karaz makes a long jump, and , landing on the other side. Seeing the pirate almost get made, the dwarf laughed as she manged to save herself. "Ha, ha, ha! I thought pirates and ropes went well together! Never did much swingin' on those boats ungi? Can't imagine what else you would do." she chuckled. "Here I am, demolishing the stereotype of dwarves and jumpin'! Onto the next challenge, you lot!" Karaz cheered, leading the way after giving the pirate a pat on the butt for encouragement. Not because she meant to pat her butt, but because Karaz is small and the butt was within reach.
Faeyna nods and calls up her vines then, trying to make a safety net for everyone to the other side. Pity she couldn't make them secure enough to the ceiling that they all could just go vine to vine the whole way through. Still, flying would save some effort, but why fly when she could assist in other ways.
"I'm going to transform into something else. Don't worry, Darla, you'll be fine. I'll help out."
Faeyna instead concentrated, this time morphing into a big spider, moving up onto the ceiling, and working to place several more ropes down on the way for the others. This way they didn't have to swing so much as just grab the next "rope". She made sure only the parts sticking to the ceiling were sticky of course. Hopefully she could use this form to help the others out as needed.
Re: Battle & Breeding
[Don't forget that using a spell to do something non-standard requires a Metamagic use and the accompanying RP!]
This wasn't fair. No assassin nuns had to content with this! Disturbed the the sudden appearance of a massive predatory spider, bat poured down from the vaulted ceiling, screeching shadows and the beat of leather wing drown out only by Darla's scream back at the entrance. The girls swung wildly at the furious winged vermin, desperately trying to keep their balance as tiny claws ripped at them. That's when Alia felt the slimy tendril wrap around her ankle.
Drawn by the writhing warmth of the girls, the demonic intruders had coiled with way up the pillars and chains of the obstacle course, veiny pink and purple phalluses seeking to drag their prey into the dark pit below. Between the platforms, tentacles waved, hoping to snag a jumping girl, while others held ominously still, disguising themselves as ropes. Karaz felt the platform beneath her quake as more still slammed into the wooden boards beneath her feet, trying with all their strength to knock her loose.
Each character has the choice of (first round is all physical; the latter will use other skills):
---Be unobtrusive and avoid the tentacles and bats: DEX+Subterfuge DC 14
---Fight off the attackers, but watch out for sneaking foes!: STR+Survival DC 14
---Remember a simple alchemical formula that wards off tentacles: MND+Knowledge DC 14
Hissing and waving her blade wildly at the horde of shrieking bats, Arkeia suddenly realized that something far more threatening was coming to join the fray. Realizing the true danger here, Arkeia hunched up and waited, trying her best to be easy to ignore, waiting for the various threats to part enough for her to continue making progress.
Re: Battle & Breeding
Alia cursed, trying to slap the angry bats away as she kept swinging. She managed to hold on despite the little nuisances, managing to keep them at bay somehow. However, soon she discovered she had a bigger problem. The tentacles had sensed the presence of her and the other girls and were now rising from the pit, seeking them out in order to capture and violate them. She could feel one wrapping itself around her ankle as more barred her way, pretending to be ropes and making it hard to pick out the real ones. Thinking back, the mage could recall a rather simple formula designed to ward such creatures away, though. Perhaps she could use it now...
passed.
Alia's hand quickly darted into her pouches, withdrawing a small amount of odd dust and scraps. It was all a bit old, but it'd work. And the place was just damp enough to make it work, what with all the tentacle slime. Muttering a quick incantation under her breath, the mage scattered the pinch of ingredients around her, soft flashes of magic lighting up as the spell activated. The tentacles quickly began to retreat from the expanding cloud of power as the alchemy kicked in, the formula covering Tervin's body and clothes, keeping the creatures at bay. Now all she had to do was just swat away that swarm of bloody flying mice...
Re: Battle & Breeding
[right, I forgot I needed that]
Faeyna concentrated, calling on the moss and mold that naturally congregated down in the darkness, altering and stretching it forth. Even in a place corrupted and altered, nature would survive and adapt. That was the gift the god/dess has made when the world was made, to allow life the capacity to adapt and overcome. To allow all to be diffrent and altered to the needs of their environments.
It was through such that lizardfolk saw the perfection in others. Where some saw an orc as an ugly tusked beastman, Lizardfolk saw the beauty in their toned muscles, their hard bodies deigned to exist in harsh wastes of constant struggle. Where some saw elves as comely for their grace and hair, Lizardfolk saw them as... Weird. They were so ill suited to their environment physically, it made no sense.
In any case once the vines were set up, she had moved to the ceiling and set up her webs. Unfortunately it seemed something they had all missed had nested up above as well. Animals above, and tentacles below. But she couldn't cast spells like this, damn it! She decided to risk her one shot and rely on her chitin and her being above to hopefully avoid being smacked down into her vines.
( Pass)
It seemed the tentacles were less interested in spiders, thus she swiftly go ahead of them. She made sure to smack a few of the fake tentacles down and web down a few of the flailing ones in the path of Darla to be sure she could get through safely.
Re: Battle & Breeding
Karaz heard something coming, "Fuckin' bat poured down ciel-ah fuck!" Karaz cursed, mostly at her own bad grammar.
Karaz held her axe high, wincing as the tentacles arose in search. Her eye squinted when she saw one casually trying to slip it's way up her leg and stab itself into her pussy. However, the tentacle didn't have the width most of her partners did. Instead it was even thicker. "Get.. the fuck off me! Ya won't fit to begin with, ya fuckin' creature!" she spat, the slimy tentacle sending an erotic surge up her spine.
. Assaulted by so much adversity only seemed to spur her on to even more ruthlessness. Karaz charged forth, forming a clear path of death in front of the other girls, cutting even the agile bats out of the air and splitting the tentacles in twain. "Enough is enough! I have had it with these monkey shit tossin' nun traps in this Moonday to Freeday chapel!" she roared.
The tentacles rose up like a great wave as the girls landed on the solid ground opposite the pit. The demonic tendrils ruched forward, not yet willing to let their prey escape them. The adventuresses dashed forward, only for their progress to be suddenly halted as they slammed first into the suddenly rippling magical barrier, and then shortly thereafter each other. The rushing wall of tentacles was only seconds behind, and there was no time to try to dispel the thing. They would need to slip past it, and quickly, before their would-be rapist caught up to them!
They reached the final location, Faeyna switching back. The wave of tentacles rushing back towards them promised a terrible fate, but the barrier ahead was... a problem. And Faeyna was sick of problems. The nuns were constantly more hindrance than help, and even were an enemy of her people. Enough was enough. Barrier needed to get out of her damn way!
With a snarl, she tried to force her way through the weakpoint, relying on her instincts to crush through where she surmised it was weakest.
( Fail)
There! She pushed against it, shoving and forcing. It began to give way and... Repulsed her. No! Damn it, once more she had failed when things came to question. She braced herself for her violation.
"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!" Alia cursed as she leapt off of the last rope, landing on the ground and breaking out in a dead sprint immediately. Rushing forward, she noticed the magical barrier barring her way as the other girls hit it. Her mind, rushed by the knowledge that there was a literal wall of tentacle rape, began to work in overdrive. She knew this type of magical boundary, she had read about it a couple times. If she remembered right, it had a rather significant structural weakness in it's construction. It wasn't obvious and required some force to exploit, but if she remembered right, it had to be right... Over...
critical success.
"THERE!" Alia roared, slamming into the boundary like an enraged bull. "GANGWAY, MOTHERFUCKERS!" She hammered it with her fists, screaming out a word of power as magical energy surged through her hands. The barrier cracked with an audible snap, yielding to the brute force applied by the magician, parting before her like sea once did before a great prophet of the past. Tervin breezed through the opening without even slowing down, clearing the obstacle so fast you'd miss it if you blinked. "HAMMER OF THE ARCANE, BITCH!"
Arkeia slammed into the wall of flesh and magic and stopped short, stumbling. Half panicked, she tried to reach for something, anything, that would let her vault over what lay between her and NOT being trapped in back by a wall of tentacles, but couldn't seem to find anything...
