Thanks everyone you're all awesome My mom got me an assassin's creed brotherhood t-shirt as a joke since I said I wanted the game however my parent got me a new $1000 mattress this year so I accept that as my real gift.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure early Christians just decided to celebrate it in December so they could fool the Romans into thinking they were having Saturnalia parties. X)

Pagans in general actually. Mostly Romans as Christianity seemed to be pretty big in Rome and out east... so yeah Pagans in general. Wasn't much they could do to convince Jewish Romans, and they had their eyes on more than Rome.

It's my birthday =D I'm 20 nao!
Due to popular demand (ie: about a dozen PMs and a bunch of visitor profile messages that I'm buried under), making a thread for this, because it's not like we have rules against it and I don't give two shites if we do.
Today I turned 20. ^_^ Spent the day up to this point basically just having a quiet day, slept in until 12PM, had a breakfast of Apple Turnovers and my fav brand of breakfast sausage, as prepared by my sis and mum. Did some writing, did some reading, played Metroid Prime and Kirby's Epic Yarn a bunch. Mom bought a mini cheesecake for me to have after dinner lol, it's about six inches in diameter or so, just a little thing for fun, since I didn't have a big party with friends due to the time of year (everyone is out of town) and mom is too sick from weariness (business trips plus three holiday family parties) to drive me out to get something for my birthday. I don't mind, it's nice to have a quiet day of relaxing after all the hustle and bustle of the year.
Last night I went to the local taping of WWE Smackdown with my sister, Mom bought the tickets months back as my birthday gift :3 we were in the fifth row of floor seats, right behind the announcer table. We gonna be on TV (since the show airs on Friday)! =D Show was good, but it was total sensory overload, because some asshole decided to have the sound system directly above our heads, everyone in the crowd was screaming and cheering, the arena has this dumb rule that you can't keep bottle caps for soda and my shoes got soaked in someone's spilled pepsi, and the smoke from the pyrotechnics and fireworks never left the room and just kind of sat there like a fog, so by the time we got home, Subaru (my sister) was zapped and conked on her bed fast and I was fried out (though I'd had some Sugarcreek coffee so I was awakeish for a while).
