Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

River was a few steps from the door down, on the other side when Claire burst out and went running. "Fuck!" She called as she watched the woman sprint off "TWENTY-SIX MINUTES TO SUNRISE, YOU BETTER HOPE YOU CAN RUN!!" She yelled after her, before ushering Eve and Izzy back into the stairwell and closing the door behind them, locking and barring it. "Right, well, anyone else want to go see their last sunrise so soon? You two follow her up for the view, or did you want something?"

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

"I need to speak to Mr. Alexander." Eve said, "He had dinner with my manager and I, and offered me a job. I need him to talk to her tomorrow and let her know he's shifting my schedule around." she said feeling her eyes droop.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

((Claire's about to learn that city gangrel get celerity...))

Izzy dug the heel of her hand into her eye, rubbing a little. Was it really that close to sunrise? It was a wonder she hadn't dropped before now. Guess Kindred did want to be awake at night.

"And there was someone on the computer network I got into that said I, or I guess, we should stop by your apartment. 'Minor priority' was the term used. I think I need to thank them for some help. Do you know who it was?"

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

"That would work quite well." River says. "Go right ahead, your cell should work down here, the tower is on top of this building." She explains, then turns to Izzy. "That would probably be the voice in my head, though he usually doesn't make himself known to other people too much. We'll introduce you eventually, don't you worry." She says with a grin, obviously aware tha she's sounding crazy.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Given that she just talked to someone that hijacked her computer, she doesn't seem to be looking at River like she's that crazy. Still, she would have liked a name, but she's not going to push the issue. "All right. I just wanted to let you know what he said. See you in the, well, evening, I guess."

She makes her way back downstairs and climbs onto her cot again, this time stretching out. Cradling her head on her elbow, she simply lays there quietly, her attention mostly on Raven, though she'll turn if she hears a noise or someone else shifting, just curious at the sound before settling once again, staying fairly quiet until the dawn slumber starts to approach.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Eve shook her head, "My cell phone was stolen. The guy who was trying to strangle me took it..."

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

"Ah, right, that's how that running lady found Mist, I remember now. Here." River says, digging a cheap-looking cell from her pocket and handing it to her. "Alexander's number should be in there." She says, shaking the door a bit to make sure the bar on the door was settled snugly, before heading down to the room with the cots.

(Assuming she called right away.)
"Alexander answered Eve's call promptly, sounding a bit different then she remembered, maybe tired or distracted. "Greetings River, you aren't needing assistance already, are you?"

River didn't say much as she wandered towards the back of the room and jumped up the wall, grabbing hold of an exposed pipe about eight or ten inches wide and pulling herself on top of it, stretching herself out and displacing some dust.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

"Sorry Mr. Alexander. It's Eve. Can you give my manager a call and let her know that you need to flip my schedule around? She would take it coming from you better than me..."

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

"Ah, Eve, terribly sorry. Yes, I've already given Crystal a call actually, to inform her that I had decided to hire the pair of you, but that I do my shoots in the early evening. She seems more that agreeable to changing the schedule around, I think you should expect a rather happy message on your answering machine when you get home Dear. Was there anything else?" Alexander says, not sounding impatient, though perhaps distracted.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Rosary was curled up on her cot, half-asleep. She was far too insecure to even attempt at starting a conversation with someone, so she had stayed by herself. The day had been an interesting one....

((Hope this works x.x ))

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Eve let out a sigh of relief, "No Mr. Alexander. That's all i was worried about. Thank you so much. Goodbye." she waited for his reply and then hung up the phone and handed it back to River. "Thanks." she said, and headed back downstairs to her cot to sleep.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

"No problem Dear, rest easy." Alexander says graciously, and ended the call. Eve went back downstairs, and saw River's hand drop from her place on the pipe. "Toss it up." She says, and deftly catches it when Eve does so, pocketing it once more.

((Short post, unfortunately. Next one I should have time for the start of the next day.))

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Eve relaxed in the relative saftey of the others, and before too long her eyes closed and she drifted off to sleep.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Everyone eventually drifted off without anything else interesting happening. The day passes by, and the group rises again shortly after sundown. A glance upwards shows that River must already be awake, but she is not in the room, at least as far as anyone can tell.

((Everyone spends 1 blood to rise in the evening, and I'd like some sort of roll call, see who all is still playing. Sin is AFK w/reason, who else do we have?))

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

((I'm still about, I just post slowly.))

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

((Edited on my personal sheet, but she's now 5/12. I'm not going to change around my CS on the board unless it's something drastic. And I'm in.))

Izzy's eyes opened come sundown and she actually started a little, not recognizing her surroundings. Seeing Raven beside her and hearing the others starting to stir, last night slowly started coming back to her. Rubbing her eyes, she glanced at her watch.

Even after everything, you still expected it to be a dream?

Shaking her head, she sat up, absently stretching a little. She didn't feel hungry like she usually did when she woke up. Granted, there was a bit of a nagging feeling that she wanted something but it wasn't a consuming need to eat.

For the time being, she simply sat there, watching the others as they got up, not quite knowing what was expected of them, save River starting their training tonight.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

((I'm not too worried about it yet, but yeah, no need to change the forum sheet everytime a blood is spent/gained. Just so everybody knows, however, 3 is the minimum you can have and still have 100% control, past that there's a chance you'll lose yourself when food is nearby ;) ))

Raven woke as well once Izzy started shifting about, looking around the room. When he noticed River wasn't there, he looked a little panicked. "Wh-wh-where'd she g-go?" He asked haltingly.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

The blonde shook her head. "I don't know. She wasn't here when I, er, woke up. I guess the term's still the same, isn't it?" She glanced around. "She might be back upstairs. She was working on something when I went up the last time."

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Normally Fletch snores a bit when he sleeps, but since he doesn't have to breath he remained quiet throughout the night. As he rises his hair is all over the place, and he lazily runs his fingers through it to somewhat tame it.
As the big man swings his feet out the bed he mumbles something about morning leaks and woods. Slowly he starts to get dressed.

Re: Chapter 1 - Introductions Are a Plus

Nnnng, huck it, it usn't a hucking ad drean. Dann. Comes a voice from a highly colorful and sparkly corner of the room. Apparently, Rashar is awake, although he still isn't thrilled about his situation.
