Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger
Nothing... nothing... NOTHING! "Grr-ah!" the rogue closed shut a drawer and crossed her hands in annoyance. There was nothing in this place that seemed potent enough to affect a whole island!
Rikke huffed lightly and leaned against a nearby wall, considering the mansion was quite haunted she had grown... oddly accustomed to it "Lets see...." she'd think back and even head along the path she previously went, looking over the mansion with surprisingly much more detail now.
Though try as she might she did not find the Lords bedroom! The only fancy bedroom was of... Rikke paused and quickly looked back as if, turning to the harem room!! This place was a brothel! And there was no Lord, just the Madame of this place and her client! Or well... the most prestigious and influential girl in the establishment and the client.
The girls eyes light up as some mystery of this place cleared up! No wonder her spirit was the most potent, she had played a very important role here! For the rest, Rikke had to sit down a think...
This meant it the sacrifice from the temple, could've likely come from here. Rikke thought back 'It was not her...' the spirit that possessed her there was far different. It was also likely the ritual originally was a success, perhaps the cause of the curse here even!
Yet there was nothing in the temple that stood out, just like nothing here particulary stood out. Perhaps beside the pristine dresser and vanity, which appeared to be missing a mirror.
"Hum..." Rikke stood up and approached it, thinking over all the events that occured thus far. Perhaps the dark ritual had indeed cursed the whole island to eternally be haunted? There was no dark object or dark entity to fight here, just victims of a lasting darkness.
Still why was this solitary piece of furniture so pristine, it absolutely stood out as absolutely abnormal in the rickety place. Bracing herself not to be caught by the spirits presence again, Rikke would reach for the vanity and inspect its drawers as a last ditch effort.
