The big guys was menacing but awfully slow. This was probably due to his heavy armor, its thick plates causing lesser strikes to ping off. Still all armor has its weaknesses she just had to find them. As she observed her opposition her eyes looking for a chink in the armor, the cultist began to foam at the mouth a battle rage taking hold. With a sudden scream the brute swung his weapon with surprising speed. Thankfully the wet stone floor caused Rikke to slide as her blade intercepted the blow. Her arm hurt from the exchange as she realized if she hadn't slid a little the blow might have overpowered her block.

As the brute pulled his weapon up to strike again Rikke saw her opening. A small gap in the armor plate where a strap held it together. Striking quick she scored a solid hit but the man wasn't done yet.

Rikke jumped back from getting a solid hit in and landed on her feet some ways away, her heart racing! This guy was significantly more dangerous than the others! The girl subtly winced as she'd gather her presence of mind from the quite perilous dodge... Between the cultists and the bastards wailing with that sword, the girl was getting worn down! Still, she had nowhere to run and had to take the bastard down!

Gripping her blade the girl rushed forward! She beat stronger opponents! She'd just need to outsmart the bastard! Rikke shifted her blade slightly and sharpened her eyes, she just needed to dismantle his defenses! With the plan in mind and rushing forward, the girl downed a minor healing potion and threw it off to the rushing waters below!

Once more Rikke found the weakness in the brutes armor, landing a solid hit. This must have angered the man somewhat as his next attack was wild and easily deflected though the it still stung from the sheer brute force! The man was panting a glazed look in his eyes. The next clash might decide everything.

One more strike! Rikkes eyes quickly focused on the last remaining strand that held the bastards armor in place! Moving in between the ravaging blows the rogue atheltically navigated the hail of blows to rush forward for one final blow to expose her already exhausted enemy!

Eye on the prize Rikke's blow landed were she wanted it severing the heavy plates and causing them to drop to the ground with a heavy clang. Suddenly lighter the brute charged his heavy blade slamming into Rikke's warg blade. Surprisingly the blade did not crack or chip as the force of the man's charge drove her back to slam against the crystal. Her sword armed pinned Rikke let loose with a vicious punch to the side of the man's head driving him back and freeing her sword arm. Everything hurt even her hair and she was near exhaustion but so was the enemy. He panted his arm sagging. This fight could not go on much longer.

With a final clink of her weapon, Rikke saw in seeming slow-motion the armor shift as it fell apart, dropping all around the bastard--- though the sight was swiftly interrupted by a huge blunt sword speeding towards her! 'Aaagh!' this time the girl couldn't deflect as she'd be forced to take the full force behind the blocked attack! Yet.... the blow was absurd, the rogue seemingly held her ground briefly only to feel the monstrous fighters blow lift her off her feet and quite literally charge with her against the crystal!

'Gah-aaah!' Rikke cried out as a booming echo of the girls body slamming against the crystal echoed out, giving way to echoes of grinding steel, as the girl kept the blade away from her body with her body! Her back entirely pressed back against the crystal as she was pinned! Though she wasn't out of it yet, with seeming adrenaline carrying her, the girl managed to free an arm and suckerpunch the bastard! Enough for him to stumble back and unpin the girl!

Yet with all her strength seemingly drained, the moment the man stepped away and his force that kept her suspended against the crystal disappeared, Rikke would fall to her knees and to her side, seemingly defeated and utterly exhausted!

Everything seemed to ring out, as Rikkes vision seemed to fade back in and out, only for the slow grind of feet against stone to slowly clarify - he was coming! The girl hardly even had the strength or presence of mind to stand... what a monstrous blow! She'd cough and roll onto her back trying to let the blurry vision and ringing in her ears fade away.

'Okay... arms... legs...' Rikke thought to herself, subtly attempting to tighten and relax her muscles, as if to check if she was able to pull of.... one more final attack! Though she only had just one spur of strength left in her, she had to make sure the moment was right! For now, the girl was effectively playing possum!

Rikke stood panting hurt and sore her foe stood across from her in no better condition. Breathing hard he yelled. "MY BLOOD FOR THE CRIMSON LORD" With out another word the man charged at Rikke who easily side stepped the blow despite her injuries and quickly struck a disabling blow against the man who dropped like a rock.

She had won.. looking over at the battle... a sense of relief washed over her. Behind the man spoke.. "You think you won bitch.... the Crimson Lord will claim all of your blood...." Looking to the man a witty retort ready to go Rikke instead gasped as the fool took his own knife and slit his throat right in front of her.

Seemed the bastard was not able to even make it the downed girl, as soon enough Rikke caught her breath and stood up looking to the beaten down bastard. She was still able to move, which meant the slow bastard... was about to really feel extra sore in the morning!

Yet victory hada slight bitterness to it, as the madman made one final move! The moment Rikke saw the dagger she prepared to defend herself, only for the bastards madness to end him...

The rogue narrowed her eyes and sheathed her blade 'Idiot...' she'd sigh and finally sit down to catch her breath! That was by far one of the hardest battles the girl fought! With that though in mind,the girl relaxed on the stones beneath and looked around... so this was what kept this 'Crimson Lord' powered?

Already the light of the crystal had dimmed significantly making the already treacherous path even more dangerous as the sides of the pit disappeared in the gloom. Still as her eyes began to adjust a faint light could be seen from the opposite direction she had come from. Its light was weak unable to illuminate far, but it did offer something for her to fix her eyes on. The nearby cultist would be a problem however. While their boss had ended his own life she had disabled the rest if left be they would just keep fueling the Crimson Lords power. Of course they would likely be out for some time allowing Rikke some respite.

Rikke was in no rush to move! The girl took her time to recoup as best as she could even in the dark, heck the rest giving Rikkes chance to adjust to the lower light!

Yet if the girl had any doubts about her previous supernatural night-eyes being gone... the almost black wall of darkness infront of her ended any doubts regarding it. Infact, between the bandits and the cultists, either this land had some immensely dangerous individuals or the girl had indeed become far more... human?

Rikke sat up looking over her hand, subtly being able to see it. Thankfully there was some light here! The girl turned to the subtle gleam and finally stood up... 'Right... first things first...' she'd turn to the cultists and draw her blade approaching the unconscious madmen.

Swift strikes rang out as Rikke made sure they'd not be an issue any time soon... by slicing their robes into thick ropes and tieing them up! With the last one tightened the girl smiled at her handywork and spoke up 'Hopefully this loss will clear you of your idiocy.' the girl smiled and headed onwards to investigate the only stand-out object left - the subtle glow in the distance.

The path was treacherous but thankfully it was also wide, and while Rikke didn't slip over the edge she managed to stub both her big toes on hidden rocks.

As she got closer however the faint light grew brighter. Till she saw a oil lamp resting on a hook in the stone wall. Next to it rusted bars to a cage sat, barely illuminated by the lamp. From this position she could hear slight sobs coming from the darkness.

Each stub got a mental 'Doh' and growl from the rogue, but soon enough she'd reach the source of the light. Though likely far before the rogue made out the lamp, she heard the subtle echoing sobs from the area infront 'Prisoners?' Rikke thought to herself, no pausing her approach to the cage.

'Hello? Is anyone here?' Rikke spoke up as she'd step into the light and look around, not hiding herself in the least.

broken sobs echo back at her the figure lost in the darkness. From the sounds of it there where many of them. The numerous voices mixing together preventing Rikke from getting a proper count. In the back of the cell however she could make out foot steps as figure still hidden by darkness stepped up. A feminine voice spoke up.

"They cannot hear you.. most have been broken... though they are not so far gone as to be lost."

Seemed the closer Rikke got the more her eyes widened and heart sank - there was so many of them down here! Yet seemed one figure here was not like the others... Rikke quickly turned to the shadowy figure and spoke up 'What... who are you?' the girl blinked curiously soon enough following up her question with 'Who are they?'

Rikke could've never imagined this place held such a dark secret!

"Me? A misguided fool who found her own conscious far to late to save anyone even herself."

A few more foot steps later and the figure broke into the faint light of the lamp. She was tall nearing 6ft in height. Numerous luminous runes and sigels were tattooed on her body. Even Rikke's limited knowledge knew from appearance alone these were dedications and blessing from the dark gods. Most glowed weakly but a few still burned bright. From what Rikke could see her body was fit and muscular and while she was nearly naked she had a proud baring about her. Dark hair either black or dark blue covered her large breasts and her skin was pale from lake of sun and dirty from her captivity.

Rikke smiled to the girl 'It's never too late. I've taken care of the bastards otuside and around the crystal.' she'd approach the girl 'Now... can I trust you to help me free these poor souls?' the girl looked to her seemingly evaluating the womans non-verbal language... was she earnest about her change and perhaps more importantly, could she indeed be trusted?

'First, I'll need the keys.'

Rikke looked the woman over, she carried herself with a confidence of a warrior. If she had been armed she would be dangerous but behind the cage and nearly naked she posed little threat. There was a soft sadness in her eyes hinting at a deep regret but as far as trusting her Rikke could find no answers from appearance alone.

The woman's hand traced a dim sigel on her chest. "I am already damned hero, but.... these souls behind me are not. You find the key on the first guardian. The big guy with a huge sword.

'Near the crystal?' Rikke winced remembering the darkness... finding the key was going--- the girl seemed to be lightning struck for a moment as she'd facepalm 'Be right back.' Rikke gave the stranger a nod and rushed onwards, before pausing just as she was about to disappear in the dark 'Oh! Whats your name by the way?' whether she introduced herself or not, Rikke would share her name 'I'm Rikke, nice to meetcha.' and with a wink the rogue disappeared back to the dark... but not for long.

Reaching to her belt, Rikke smiled slyly and pulled out the radiance flask! With a quick shake the bottle seemed to start subtle, but soon enough began to absolutely radiate light illuminating the dark cave!

Now to get those keys!

The woman looked at Rikke her eyes carrying a strange glint to them, almost like a predictor. It contracted deeply with her expression however. She looked confused and lost a moment. Their pinkish gleam was unsettling but Rikke soon focused on the voice of the woman as she spoke.

"I... I don't remember.. after I joined...... The leader renamed me Irriana Nightshade.. I was lucky most just become mindless cult slaves or demented cultist.

Nodding at Rikke the girl remained silent letting the roguish woman slip into the dark with her shinning bauble. With a proper light source Rikke soon found the scene of her battle. Looking about the weaker men lay still unmoving having yet to recover. The big guys corpse was easy to spot a bright crimson trail lead to his remain even threw the shadows. Avoiding the spilled blood Rikke searched the brute and found a key ring. One big rusty one stood out while about a dozen and a half smaller copper ones hung on it as well. She also found a sack of 200 denari with a note tied to it.

Rikke blinked as she found the jingling pouch, before opening it up... as her eyes almost light up as much as the radiance potion itself! 'Well! Thank you, mister nasty!' she'd think to herself closing the bag, before spotting the note?

Curiously the rogue would pick it up and read it as she walked back to the prisoners.
