Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Unlike the angelic fortress this place was in shambles. Numerous fallen blocks of stone would easily let Rikke scale the walls. Though she had to admit of there had been any watchers she would have been surely spotted as the approach to the wall left no cover what so ever. As Rikke dashed to the wall she saw hints of the battle between the angels and their cultist foes. Five brilliant pinpoints of light hung in the sky with two of them raining destruction upon the walls nearby which let out terrified screams every once in awhile. However three of the lights seemed to move about intercepting something Rikke couldn't make out in the darkness, only bright sparks seemed to hint at a fight between them. Still with the wall scaled Rikke could see in the courtyard and immediately wished she hadn't. A small pile of heads rested next to a chopping block with terrified people in cages in the courtyard and one big looking sod with a bloody axe quickly approaching a new set of prisoners.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

The gruesome view did indeed sink the girls heart... they were executing the prisoners! While Rikke may have suspected something similar, seeing the display was something else entirely! Only to add to the sight the executioner was still here! The ghastly creature seemed to lumber towards the other prisoners as well--

Rikke seemed to act faster than she thought as the girl quite recklessly dashed and drew her blade "Don't you dare!" using her temporal wings the heroine easily made the dash to the courtyard, Beauty shinning brilliantly in her hand!

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke rolls!
78 vs 50 hit! 37 damage
Executioner
74 vs 62 hit! 46 damage!

RIkke 16/62 hp
Executioner
33/70

Forgoing any sort of surprise from sheer outrage Rikke dashed forward her form a glowing beacon to the prisoners. However it was also a beacon to the brute down below. Turning just in time that Rikke's attack met armor but still scoring a solid hit. Stunned a moment that her foe was still up Rikke was blasted back with a powerful strike from the big orc brute.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke flew onwards anticipating the wicked slash attack! Though just as she neared suddenly the executioner turned its axe to sideways immensely increasing the strike effect! With the rogue mid-dash there was no way to dodge it now... she'd just have to make her attack count and brace for it!

As the duo exchanged blows, the rogue took far more damage as the immense strength proved even the blunt strike to almost knock her out on the spot! Tumbling along the ground, Rikke quickly foot her footing and slid along the dirt briefly, before catching her breath and capturing her presence of mind again... "That.... hurt..."

The heroine tightened her grip on her blade as she'd take a light breath and sharpen her eyes. The first strike proved reckless... and it had certainly been awhile since the girl actually fought! She had to make this count...

[Defensive fighting [+9 dodge, -9 atk]
Lightning strikes!

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Like lighting Rikke dashed up far to fast for the hulking brute to do much than groan in pain as her blade quickly slashed the foul creature to ribbons. Falling heavily Rikke heard the klang of keys as the orange flickering light of the fire glinted of them. She could free the prisoners but what if one of the guards saw them. They would be like fish in a barrel. However they would give her yet another distraction to slip into the fort proper.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

The three brilliant streaks of light echoed out as Rikke landed on her feet and flicked her blade free of the dark creatures gore, moments before it collapsed behind her. For the first time in a very long while, Rikke delivered every strike at its full strength... the horrid creature more than earned it.

Still the heroine wouldn't waste time and quickly picked up the keys, leaving the prisoners bound near the absolutely huge dead executioner would no doubt get them killed! "Is everyone alright?" the girl rushed to them and looked over the cage, though wouldn't open it, before clarifying the situation... lest the poor peoples panic gets them into trouble.

"We're ending this damned cult, keep low and head to the road as quickly as you can. Stick together and be careful." the rogue would even offer her travel backpack to the group with some rations and means of a campfire, lest they get cold on their escape "Good luck." she'd beam them a smile and a head onwards deeper into enemy territory!

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Most of them looked like mercenaries hired to guard caravans while a few looked to be the actual missing traders she had heard about. Rikke would have little worry about once she got them free. Thankfully the angelic distraction worked in her favor and she had all the cells open in a few moments. All in all the cells contained about thirty or so people. quietly they moved to the gate and opened it up slipping out letting Rikke move into the fortress proper.

Once inside she could see the place was on the verge of falling apart with only the most minor of brace work done to keep it standing. Up ahead she could hear shouting and the moving a feet as this main hall moved forward to what looked like a dinning area.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Was it the enemy? Keeping herself hidden Rikke approached the source and only carefully peeked at what was going on... she did not come here to beat the whole castle and their cultist masters, Ella was still her priority.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Creeping up to the meal hall Rikke saw men in dark robes running all sorts of directions confused. Nearby half naked woman sat ears covered under the tables. It seemed the distraction had the whole place in confusion. Also there where way more cultist than Faith had considered. From her vantage point a set of stairs to her right lead deeper into the fort while a set of stairs to her left lead up to where the most commotion was occurring. Two doors lay ahead of her across the chamber but they likely lead to a kitchen of some sort.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke winced lightly... she wished so much to aid her allies, but the best way to do it now, was to remain unseen! Ella would likely be kept in the deepest quarters of the fort.

Keeping silent, Rikke would just slip onwards to her right and down the stairs deeper down the decrepit fort. Her eyes sharp and ears stressed for any signs of commotion or disturbance.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Chapter 5 final

Rikke slipped silently down the stone stairs her movement seemingly lost in the shadows caused by the flickering torch light. A head of her two well built rough looking men sat at guard at the foot of the stair weapons ready for the inevitable breakthrough. Spotting them long before they would spot her Rikke pondered the best route. If she fought them directly no doubt she would win but the sounds of the fight would echo and warn others of her coming. She could try to slip by them but their position and lack of shadows would most certainly get her caught, and they looked far more seasoned than the other she had seen and would unlikely desert their post at a distraction. As she pondered her actions she heard a slight squeak as a mouse lost its footing on the supports above her. It would be risky but she was the right size.
Slowly Rikke crawled threw the supports the sounds of scurrying mice all around her. No doubt they where annoyed by the giant in their midst. As annoying as their noise was Rikke was more concerned about the dust that threatened to make her blow her cover. Well that and trying to ignore the silky strands that sometimes crossed her face. Still after what seemed forever she found herself just past the guards. Dropping down she was confronted with a massive gold door. Opening it she slipped inside to see a brilliant marble chamber well light with the glow lights she had seen in the angelic fortress. The chamber itself was round with carved pillars supporting what looked to be a dome with paintings of the night sky above it. In the center hovered a massive shard similar to diamond in brilliance. Nearby Ella also hovered surrounded by wreathing shadows. She seemed unconscious. Nearby stood Yenna and the dark knight from before.

"She cannot take the strain it will kill her!"

"Do you really think I care about her or you?"

Rikke's ears perked at the sound of a blade clearing a scabbard.

"I won't let you do this!"

"Oh please Yenna. Empty threats are so unbecoming of you. You know very well the spell I used to bring you back makes sure that you cannot harm me. I am your master for ever more."
Rikke gritted her teeth. So that was the reason. Yenna was being forced to listen to this man orders. Watching Yenna Rikke saw her shake from sheer frustration as she was unable to move her deadly blade any closer to the man. What could she do the room was well light so sneaking was a near impossibility. Even if she could arrive up close there was still Yenna. One on one Yenna proved to be near Rikke's skill with her blade. If she joined the fight with the dark knight her victory would be uncertain.

Walking forward the man moved up to Ella and reached out only to have his hand zapped. Frowning her looked at the shadowmancer. Summoning his own magics the man tried to evelope what ever protective bubble that surrounded Ella was only to have his magics burned away.

"She tests me...... Why dose she test me now."

An explosion from above sent dust settling into the chamber. This caused all three to look up. Throwing back his dark cloak the man began to channel a large amount of dark energy. The magic lights around the room began to dim the closests one to the man even winked out.

"There is no time this little girl will not stop me from become a GOD!"

For Rikke time began to slow. She had already begun moving once the dark knight had already begun to channel his energy stealth be damn. Seemingly in heard a trio of voices errupted. Two she had heard before after her strange trip to the future world.

"She is not pure the magics will not allow it."

"Your not gonna let that being possed by a succubus thing stop her? She's a hero threw and threw. Everything she has doen even the questionable stuff has been for the good of her friends. She even put that part of her self in a mental prison."

"Ven.... giving her such power kill her or worse what if that mental prsion breaks."

The man's voice shift to more compassionate tone. "I know you believe her but that darkness.. she has let it control her before. She willing gave it control before. If she did that while imbued with our power.... then what. Besides if we do this not only could she die, but if she lived it would be without your protection."

It was then the third voice echoed out. "I can make her pure. The price will be high but... she can be whole again."

"I relent if you can do it than do it. Venus please say your goodbye. No matter how this ends you will not be seeing her for some time."
Behind her Rikke felt warm ethereal arms wrap around her like a mothers embrace. Golden tresses of light cascaded around Rikke's shoulder and she felt a warm pair of lips. "Go my child show them what a daughter of Venus can do. Remember I will always love you." It was then just as the warm feeling was pulling away Rikke felt a surge of power shoot threw her. Nearby the shadow Knight and Yenna looked over at Rikke. Looking down Rikke saw her own body seemingly imbued with life energy similarly to the time she spent in Jessica's egg. Her armor had changed from subtle darkened leather to bright celestial silver. Even Beauty had changed to match her gleaming armor. In the reflection of her blade Rikke could see her eyes a clear icy blue standing out against her luminous form. Her orange hair seemed to be tossing in the wind like a candle flame. Behind her white hot wings of streaming energy snapped in the waves of power coming off her. All around her Rikke could feel... no see the life as pin points of color in a seemingly grey world. Figures of light in a grey bland room that was the structure. Ella was a soft yellow glow with even a softer white glow of the life with in her. Yenna was a faded yellow the glow of false life. The dark man before her was writhing darkness. Raising her hand almost out of instinct Rikke let loose a bright bold that hit Yenna sending her troubling to the ground. Looking back the knight cursed and charged at her. Instantly their weapons clashed the dark knight quickly loosing out in the exchange as Rikke battered him back. Time and time again the dark knight came for her. It was all too easy. She could see the man was trying his hardest his dark life energy burning with effort. Still Rikke could not see any redeeming light with in his soul. On the man's next attack she simply parried with a clone of light before bringing Celestial Beauty down to end his suffering. As her blade struck the man cried out his life energy being burned away by the weapon till the shadows where gone. The dark knight fell and Rikke moved forward. Easily she dispelled the magic around Ella and set her down in Yenna's arms. Looking over the angel Rikke saw her initial magic had indeed restored Yenna to her proper nature. White wings as well as white hair. Still hearing the battle above Rikke quickly dispatched her clones of light to end all remaining opposition. Looking over at the crystal of life she nodded. THis is what it was like to be a god but such borrowed power would have to be returned it was the only way. Heading over to it RIkke touched the Crystal. She still had time to fix some things. What would she fix who would she help. She could not restore the dead for they had already passed on, but she could help the living....

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke rushed forward, her steps seemingly slowing down as she looked on the sight... she'd not make! No matter how hard she'd try she wasn't fast enough! Time seemed to slow as the dark creatures blade neared Ellas resting body, Yennas eyes subtly widening as she recognised the rogue from the distance and called out to her for aid...

The girl tensed her body as her slowed footstep echoed out, the blade drawing nearer! She couldn't let him! Rikke seemed to feel every single wail and cry of the poor adventurers that met their demises here... hundreds, thousands of voices echoed out in sheer fear as the darkness was to consume them... Rikke, Ella, Yenna, even the grumpy angels and mixed townsfolk... Jessicas family, everyone "Don't do it!" Rikke cried out in desperation as she reached out! She had to... she... she... needed help...

As if reverbing throughout in a far distant location, two voices echoed out all around Rikke although she couldn't comprehend them. It was the first time she'd hear the two stranger tones, though somehow they felt a kin to a mothers and a fathers.

She may had not been an ideal knight, she may have darker thoughts in her, she may have even danced with shadows a number of times... but throughout her journey the rogue was always... a heroine. It was then Rikke felt sudden warmth rush over her, as if she'd been hugged by a dearly loving mother... a warmth that was quickly followed by brilliant pure light.

*CLASH!* A sudden slash of light sent the dark creatures sword arm backwards, as before him stood a divine warrior. Her position resting post attack, the created trail of lightly slowly dispersed as the dark creature recoiled from the figure with wide frightful eyes.

Before him stood not an angel, nor a rouge or brave hero, but a goddess! Complete inner warmth and calm washed over Rikke, she knew she'd be able to save everyone. The girl looked over her hand in wonder, she'd be clad in brilliant gleaming silver armor, her blade still familiar, but all the more augmented rested in her hands.

Everything all around her seemed to have changed, even from here the girl could sense each and every angel, each of their emotions, their struggle, their heroism. Though Rikke could also sense someone far more familiar, who cried out near her... Yenna. The goddess turned to the angel with a kind smile, she heard beyond her current cries, beyond her current fright... there was a deeper distant cry of help in her.

With an effortlessly motion suddenly Yenna would be struck by brilliant light! Her whole body gleaming once, before the girls dark hair and wings seemed to flake and fall off her. Her brilliant pure white wings bursting through the dark raven shell, her hair seemingly washing away the corruptive colors.

However one being here was far different than the others, Rikkes brilliant gaze turned to the creature who rushed at her... But he was so slow... so dark... So desperate. As what once was Sigmund lashed out at her, Rikke could see past what he wished others to see, past what the man thought he was.

The black shadows previously acting as if the wicked creatures cloak and armor, dispersed with each failed attack against the goddess, the dark tendrils falling off only to burn up and dispersing in the radiant light all around them.

The girl looked at the foul beast before her with pity, it's mad wailing and flailing only adding to it's grotesque nature. The outer beauty so carefully sculpted by him had all, but evaporated leaving a his putrid appearance bare.

With another booming slash Rikke once more struck at the incoming blade, instantly shattering on the spot and completely sending the creature off it's balance as it looked on helplessly at the heroine as she grasped her blade with two hands.

May the foul soul find peace and be remade in the goddess light. Rikkes attack seemed almost mute, far too swift for the creature to even realise it was already over. As the huge gash of light seared across his body, the creature would not cry in anger or shout in dismay, but look on to the brilliant light in silent and peaceful awe... moments before his figure shattered into brilliant specks of light.

With that, the ruling darkness of this place had been vanquished. Closing her eyes in harmony, soon enough several of the girls clones appeared and rushed out, each one ending any and all ensuing conflict in an instant.

Rikke would step closer to Ella, looking over her duo auras with a gentle warming smile. Duo auras indeed... though not both were her own, as the small speck of life inside the girl already had a glowing brilliant presence. The girl smiled at the subtle light and formed a small brilliant crystal, a blessing or shard of the powers that surrounded the small girl now. With a single notion the blessing would disperse and fly to the aura, coloring in a brilliant light briefly, before it returned to normal.

Still there was one last thing felt compelled to do, turning to the crystal the girl approached as her emitted light seemed to curve and sink inside the prism. Once again the voices would appear "The Crystal of Life is connected to all almost all living beings." "It is a tool of the gods, those that do not understand it should stray back..."

Rikke looked to it and somehow she knew exactly what the object was... it was a creation of immense power, left here by far greater beings. Yet here it stood before her at her most powerful and brilliant. With it, the rogue could alter aspects of the world otherwise impossible! "If you use it, the cost will be great." Rikke peered into the crystal with sparkling blue eyes, although the burden was heavy and the events infolded all too quickly... she still remained calm.

A chance to change things she couldn't have before... Closing her eyes and smiling Rikke reached out as the crystal roared into life, the heroines brilliant aura sweeping into it!.....

An echo of a breaking bucket suddenly reached Yunas ear "Waaaah~!" quickly followed by a sudden cry? "Sylphie?" the girl blinked and rushed to her mothers cabin where the slime girl rested and slammed the door open to see what was wrong! "S-sylphie?" Yuna blinked as sitting there in disbelief looking over herself was a blue haired human girl "Y-Yuna?" she'd carefully look up to her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jessica sat restlessly near her sisters, who each seemed busy discussing how they'd split their inn and brothel, instead of focusing on their search! By now Jessica herself wasn't sure where Rikke had disappeared to... only to suddenly a gust of warm wind to slowly enter inside, though Jessica was certain it was her mind playing tricks... the wind seemed to carry her lovers perfume? "Rikke?"
Suddenly the nearby chairs echoed out as each of the sisters seemed to fall to the floor coughing?! Though shocked at first, Jessicas eyes widened as her sisters stopped their coughs and stood up looking at each other, appearing just as they had before the dark events in their life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Rhea! Rhea!" Rune called out to her mother as she rushed down the hallway, muchfoir the wolven Kitsune to turn curiously at the sudden rush "What is it?" she'd blink, a bit annoyed as she'd expected it to be yet another strange butterfly Rune had caught... though this was far bigger "You've got to see this!"

As Rhea was quickly taken by her hand she'd be lead to a balcony and blinked at the sight indeed... she had been used to overlooking the ruined part of Endus every so often. A somber reminder of what they were fighting... though as she looked upon the ruined city now, for the first time in what seemed forever brilliant sunlight shined upon the ruins. As the Kitsune could see lush flora, not of weeds, but of fresh and pure grass and flowers grow rapidly across the ruined city, a surge of pure water rushing to fillout the previous huge crater. Life had fully returned to the desolate city.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All throughout, from the people Rikke met from the lands she visited were healed. From restored speech to prosperous crops... the warm winds swept across valleys and cities, healing and mending those it encountered, even shifting those of darker heart just enough. In some parts of the world, this day would be marked as a celebration of Spring Goddess.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Crystal hummed silently inside the darkened room as two figures loomed over an unconscious girl, one of a man and one of a female. The female approached the girl and gently picked her up, bearing a kind smile "You've done well, my dearest knight." she'd look over the girl, who appeared to finally rest after a very long journey "Where shall you take her?" the man asked, keeping distant as the female leaned closed to the girls ear "Rikke, where do you wish to go?"

There would be a brief silent pause as the female would smile mutely "Taking her back to her home?" the man broke the silence and approached as well, spurring a wider smile from the female "Yes... but there's only one place, this one feels at home." the man looked to the female silently "A wandering spirit to her core." the female giggled warmly, as the three disappeared.

Chapter 6
Rebirth

Rikke awoke with the distinct smell of wild flowers filling her nose. However there was also a hint of salt and sand. Blinking she shook the bright mid afternoon sun from her eyes and sat up. Nearby a gull cried out as its shadow zoomed over Rikke. Following the shadow as her eyes adjusted she found herself on a sandy hill covered in sea grass and wild flowers. Nearby a faded wooden dock lead to a smallish fishing town. Looking down at herself Rikke stared in disbelief. She was absolutely naked her sun kissed skin bare to the world. No armor, weapons, or even cloths. Turning her head cause waving auburn tresses to cascade down her body. Holding the extremely almost ankle long hair she had to blink. What happened? Turning around she found a small stone shrine. Apparently it was dedicated to the Goddess of spring. Nearby sat a few baubles and gemstones as well as small satchel of coins. From the looks of it they had been here awhile.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Was she dead? As Rikke awoke, only the subtle echoes of wind and sea rang all around her. Slowly opening her eyes, she'd be briefly blinded by the bright sunlight, before sitting up and looking around... No. Though where was she?

The girl found herself in a quite plain field of grass and mixed wild flowers, with elegant dunes stretching along a nearby coast... What had happened? Rikke would do a few stretches almost feeling as if she had slept for far too long.. only to notice, something was on her.. "Hair?... HAIR?!" she'd blink quickly reaching up and feeling herself up, just HOW long had it grown?! Taking lock of her own auburn hair color in hand, she'd note it was back to its original auburn appearance, but there was one 'small' difference. The absurd length!

Rikke tried to measure her own hair in comparison to her hand, but the overgrown locks seemed to extend far beyond even beyond her fingertips! Not to mention she was absolutely in the nude, no weapons... no armor, no undies... not even a coin pouch!

Her senses finally back, the girl much more rapidly looked around for anyone at all, but it seemed the only sign of civilization was the nearby fishing village and a small little shrine?

Approaching it first, the small shrine appeared to be dedicated to the Goddess of Spring, complete with a few offerings. While the baubles were of little interest to the rogue, she did spy something she vitally "Sorry..." she'd smile sheepishly and pick up the coin pouch. Wherever she was now, any sum of coin would likely prove invalueable "I'll return it twice-fold, promise." she'd smile guiltily at the shrine as she'd take the coins and count them over.

Her memory still foggy and her condition quite basic in absolutely every sense of the word, Rikke had to find people! The fishing village would be the most likely place for any such contact. Blushing all too subtly, Rikke would turn to the village and attempt as unseen of approach as she could. The nude girl running down the feel in the nude almost as if some sort of free spirit or mythical nymph, her wonderous body and very bright blush all too clear to see from any distance... even if she tried to not be spotted.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Thankfully it seemed that most of the fishermen where out leaving only a handful of woman giggling and doing their own chores allowing the rogue to enter the town proper. Oddly enough this place seemed to have a cobbled roads. Looking about Rikke found herself in a residential area the sound of dogs barking and woman laughing echoed threw the various buildings and from backyards It would only be a mater of time before she was found. Still there was some hope as a fresh set of cloths lay on a line in the front of a yard. They seemed dry enough and despite her generous assets could fit the rogue well enough in a pinch.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Ducking from cover to cover, to quickly slipping out of view and waiting for the voices to pass, Rikke made her way to the city... which seemed blissfully vacant of its residents! Still blushing brightly the extremely long-haired rogue quickly scanned the nearby cloth racks and smiled widely, dashing to them and quickly picking out a very basic outfit...

Since the girls 'assets' were slightly cumbersome to fit into most feminine tops, she'd use one of the looser male shirts, curling back the sleeves and tieing the loose bottom of the shirt int the front. It would serve as country-esque upper garment for now. For her bottoms, Rikke had to make due with anything be it pants or an improv skirt.

Still... once again clothed the girl sighed with relief and looked over herself, while not quite elegant, seemed her natural appearance still made it work! "Right..." Rikke smiled to herself and turned the streets, it was time to find out where she was... and where she could find a good hair-dresser or barber!

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Clothed in a loose shirt and somewhat baggy shorts Rikke frowned. It would have to do. Leaving the residential district Rikke found a commercial location of sorts. Nearby a red and white pool indicated the barber was indeed open. Other location included a hefty amount of pubs as well as a few dedicated open air eateries. These however where mostly empty though the smell of roasting meat did cause the girls stomach to rumble in almost forgotten hunger.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

A barber! Rikkes eyes widened as she'd quickly recount the coin she... borrowed from the shrine. Although she still felt a little twinge of guilt from the act, she really needed it right now!

With the basic clothing on her, the rogue would scurry to the barbers... almost two-feet of locks and all! Though as she walked, the whiff of a fresh meal caught her notice spurring a sensation she hadn't felt in a very long while.. she was hungry? Well past events were still unknown, who knows how long she did not have a meal... albeit she hardly required nourishment, atleast after her numerous supernatural encounter.

Still first things first! If she was going to face the townsfolk, she needed her appearance fixed up! Knocking on the barbers door Rikke peeked inside and opened her hair-curtains to look inside "Hello~?" hopefully it was open.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

The coin in hand was roughly 20 denari more than enough for hair cut and could even properly outfit the rogue for a long journey if need be. Ignoring the alluring scent of food she opted for the barber. Thankfully his surgical skills didn't seem to be in need today as the older gentlemen sat on a small chair a drink in one hand and a book in the other. Looking up as the bell rang he smiled. "Hello miss what can I do for you today?" Letting her request be known the man frowned. "Normally I only tend to the men folk and let the woman tend their own hair. But I see your need is truly dire. Did you happen to anger a pixy or some such to have such malady strike you?" Saying what she would the man motion for her to take a seat and quickly apologize for not being up on the current woman's fashion. Once Rikke got her hair cut in a very simple style the man would only ask for 1 denari.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

'What can he do for her?' Rikke would remain silent and smile sheepishly, only pointing to her vast amount of hair "It... got a little out of control. Help please..." the girl giggled happily, as thankfully the barber would see her. Unfortunately it seemed the man was quite basic, meaning any dye treatment or the like would have to wait "Thank you! I just need it at a more manageable length, maybe a little beyond the shoulders?" she'd extend her hand and point to her usual hair length.

Thankfully the haircut wouldn't take too long, as the man seemed to be very careful with his cuts, as if trying not spoil the girls appearace. It wouldn't be long before with a removal of the sheet Rikke had her hair back! "Hum..." she'd lean closer to the mirror "Could I?" she'd reach out for one of the brushes and after a bit of tweaking, combing and ruffling she had her wavy wonderous hair back! "Ha~! It's perfect." she'd beam the man a smile, even if it was hardly idealy cut he certainly saved her!

"Here's 2. As a thanks for saving me from the cluthes of my own hair." she'd beam him a smile and add wink, placing the two coins in hand "Oh! By the way, is there any place I could get some proper clothes?" she'd look to the man and hear out his direction, before bidding him farewell! The world certainly seemed a lot brighter and wider without a curtain of hair obscuring everything!
