ACT Guro [D-lis] Night of Revenge / 魔女は復讐の夜に (RJ405582)


So while I'm definitely not a netsec or malware guy, I'm not getting any positives across four scanners (Malwarebytes, Avast, AVG, Win Defender). No launch issues either. I'm a bit too lazy to actually do something more thorough, aside from tossing the .rar into VirusTotal as others have, but it seems safe to me.

The problem @LaulFak was having indicated that even the version number was wrong and that there were multiple executables in there, apparently. I didn't really find anything that indicates a v0.35 or v1.35, nor any malicious files getting created as a result of running the .exe in there.

On your suggestion, I also took a look at the previous time people were getting positive flags. From the explanation, apparently the mono.dll was the issue, which was suspiciously bloated and was the file that all the scanners were catching. The one in here is of the same size that previous, clean versions were.

Can anybody else confirm/deny? I don't really want to remove a link off one report that I couldn't replicate, but if other people find problems, I'll take it down.
 
I still believe it was a false positive due to the modification of the original mono file from the translation team, so I kept the original mono file of v.0.30 in my device. But I do agree that one should always be wary of anything that you download through non-official links.
After that incident I'm always checking what I share using virustotal and so far I haven't encountered any problem.
However, I do doubt that the problem that @LaulFak is related to the version I shared. The version from my link is v.0.38. Maybe a corrupt download?

Sorry for the long post...
Umm not sure if it's related to @LaulFak problem but I'm having problems with the link kindly put up by @Tewi (thanks always). When I download it, it gets downloaded as the correct version (i.e. version 0.38). But when I extract it, it says it's extracting version 0.35? And the extracted file is named Version 1.35. I use a Mac to download and extract these kinds of files then move it to my PC to play it. That way if there is a virus, lol I only lose loads of 'homework' files :D I've only come across this problem with this link for some reason.
I suck at explaining so here's a few pics:

Huh, that IS strange. For me (windows), the extracted file is v0.38, with no issues whatsoever.

Thanks for the pictures, this is indeed quite weird, I've done the same process as I always did. I always test the game as well and it is v.0.38 since it has the latest content. What does appear on the rar file when you open it? Does the folder say 0.34 or 0.38?
Maybe it is a mac problem? Could you scan it and find any virus on it? I analyzed every file again and couldn't find any virus myself.
 
Well... might was well pitch in here @DarkFire1004. I downloaded the file that was quoted by @LaulFak 10 minutes ago and the game was fine for me. It only downloaded NightofRevenge_ver0.38 and it ran as well as my old computer could handle. It had the content mentioned earlier and I ran a Virus Scan with MalwareBytes Free just to be sure. The virus scan came up with nothing for now. Might was well add that I'm using Windows 10 so it could be an OS issue if that exists. Here's a screenshot of what I got. I think the problem is that most of the game copies that end up here all originate from the chinese Eyny forums, and those guys do something with their uploads that messes with the version numbers... This isn't exactly the first case nor the only game that had something like this happening.

So serious. You know there is actually an erectile dysfunction syndromme where a guy couldn't get erection if there is no story or background. Especially one who is too addicted to rape scene and stories that a normal women in standard missionary mode, cant make them hard anymore. I think the scenes in NOR, visually is already tempting enough for most. If you cant get hard without a story, then... better have some medical checkup.

For people having problems I suggest trying another archiver.

thought this scene was great and hopefully future scenes keep up

it's amusing that after the big guys drop their cum dumps off where they found them Aradia and Illusive just kind of dust themselves off and go "well, par for the course i guess"
then again given the state of other girls found in the world they probably consider that a good day
 
so as someone that doesn't follow very closely, whats new in v 0.38? more importantly, where do i find it? (in the game, damn thing is a maze. makes new content hunting hard)

There's a new dialogue system in the game that makes a bar along the bottom, instead of always being the floating text boxes.
If you go back to Rhodenia, the third area with the orange background, start from the left side and keep dropping down every chance you get, then you'll run into two big sinner slaves talking about onaholes. You can choose to fight them to save the woman, and you get a choice at the end. Either option results in her being saved, but the second option gets you two raped for hours.

They beg for forgiveness when you beat them, and can either kill them or let them go. If you let them go, the one behind her gets up and grabs her, then they spend a few scenes talking about how tight their meatholes are, how one of the guys is a premature ejaculator, how fashionable the girls are with their new condom outfits and bodywriting, how the girls are broken, and then go off to find new holes to fuck when they get bored. So, here's a really stupid question, how does one actually extract the text from this game into a notepad file, like those guys who did the Reipatcher autotranslate file did? (i'm talking about the offline translation file)

I'm asking because i want to translate some things the way i want them...
