DDO

Re: DDO

SO.

Still on Korthos, added some people to my friends list, currently Level 2 Rank 9 with 54 XP to go 'till next rank, and I've done the first 3 missions you get up to hard without any group/hirelings. Working on the next 3 on normal then hard without a group/hireling, just to see if I can.
Attempted the quest where you have to find the scroll in the storehouse on Elite (I figured 'hey, the only thing I should have issues with is the boss Sahuagin, couldn't be that bad...') and got screwed over by the dice >.< (seriously, barely got above a 10 on ANY attack roll, INCLUDING bonuses. Yeah, dice hate me >.>).

EDITZ: Make that a Level 3 Rank 11 Rogue with 4,002 XP to go 'till next rank, and all quests - except Misery Peak - done up to normal, besides the first 3 which are done up to hard.

Oh, and name is Ryuukage Kusanagi, for those too lazy to go back a page :p

Re: DDO

Yeah, I got you addded as a friend just haven't been on the same time as you yet to send an invite for the guild. If you see Enigmaheart, or Kasiandra I made them the officers since they've ben playing longer than most of us. So they can send invites also.

Now for a slight rant. If another freaking person tells me my pally is gimped because I don't use a motherbleeping khopesh I'm going to start killing people. Argrghrh it's a game, yes it's a great weapon but I am not going to wield a khopesh okay. Deal with it and let me play the way I want to, with the weapon I want. Otherwise we might as well just have 11 people play, one for each class set up uber style. There's a reason you have all those different feats so shut up about the fact you cause more DPS than me faggots. Thank you for allowing me to rant, now to your regularly scheduled nonsense.

Re: DDO

o_O
I'm going to guess that this weapon you speak of is godly powerful, and most Pally players have it because of this. I'm also going to guess that the way you play a Pally, you either A) Don't need it or B) It wouldn't work with your build.

But yeah, that's the way any RPG goes. There's one or a few 'godly' weapons/armors that everyone salivates over, and then act all big when they get it.

On an unrelated/related note, my friends in Border lands don't understand me. I'm not worried about finding all the best guns, and therefore don't go on 5 bagillion runs a day with them.
Why am I not worried, you ask? Because I play that shit like I'm Luigi - I jump on the enemies; and if they can't get jumped on, I shoot fireballs (corrosive rocket) at 'em.

Re: DDO

Yeah it's really just the highest DPS weapon is all. It's the sickle sword the ancient Egyptians used in case you didn't know what it actually is. I use a longsword, why because I'm not wasting a feat, I could use on something more important, on exotic weapon proficiency for a khopesh or a bastard sword. I do better just standing in a door bashing with my tower shield and occasionally using the sword, while the mages/clerics stand begind me blasting and healing. it might not be the best way to play, but it's how I do it. Yeah basically the same thing you said about Borderlands, if you're enjoying yourself go with it. Gimped or not.

Re: DDO

Although, I must admit, I am looking for Eridian weapons on the 3rd playthrough to deal with the Gaurdians... fucking shield tanking whores...

And I'm online right now if you were thinking of hopping on DDO anyways. If you can't/don't want to, probably gonna be on tomorrow during the day (U.S. East Coast)

Re: DDO

I think it's just that the others who were saying I'm gimped, have a differing view of what a paladin is. He should be protecting the weaker members of the party. You want to chase the enemies and destroy them with high damage use a barbarian, not the guy with full plate and a tower shield. I mean who would chase something in full plate with a tower shield, I think you would get tired awful fast carrying all that.

Yeah damn shield tanks you need to kill... oh wait that's me. I'll be on soon, just have to wait for something to finish up in a couple minutes. Otherwise I'll lag to death.

Re: DDO

Ehh, in DDO, it'd be more like someone popping Mage Armor pots like no tomorrow >.<

Alright, I'll wait for ya then :p

Got 349 more monsters to kill anyways.

Re: DDO

Mind you, I've had my run in with those dumbasses as well. "You should have gone lawful good to use godly equip!" "Lol chaotic neutral nub"... Not that often mind you (thankfully), but it still gets annoying whenever you meet the occasional 'my +4 lawful good sword of faggotry beats your nooby +3 rapier' >_>...

Rant aside, I might come on in a bit.

Re: DDO

Alright, that's cool. Ronny's in right now and just invited me to guild, and I have to go take a shower. Estimated time is 30 minutes, so I'll be back then.

EDIT: Aaand, I'm back, and GODDAMNIT I hate when the hot water's out >.<

Re: DDO

I can pop on as well, and as for those bitching about stat... my +1 repeating crossbow can snipe enemies outta thier aggro range, so fuck your bit of metal :p

Re: DDO

Wait, what? Whee! I'm Important!

I tend to be on at odd hours compared to the rest of you, but Occasionally I wind up there during regular times. Unfortunately, I'm going to be sans internet to play this with starting January, so barring me borrowing my bf's laptop and searching for some wi-fi, I won't be on very much...

Re: DDO

new char for Cannith, Perigrine Took the wizard. and my sis is now on cannith as well!

Re: DDO

75 favor with the coin lords rocks as does being half way to unlocking the drow that is all.

Re: DDO

This has caught my interest. Can anyone vertify if Muck exists in-game atm? or Muckbane for that matter? cause those MUTHERFUXING SLIME IN MY MUTHERFUXING SEWERS are driving my rapiers crazy.

Re: DDO

Yup... I have one in Kyhber. Durk's got a secret quest, rear sector of sewer, chance to get it from the Muck boss that may or may not be there. It's a must when fighting off slimes.

Until you get one though, do what I do:

Range it to death with projectile weapons, or barehand smack it to death.

Re: DDO

Also have a Muckbane on Khyber.

There's also a slightly better version called "Muckdoom" that is gotten from a rare encounter in the "The Pit" quest, but to even unlock it requires doing something throughout the dungeon, which is by the way, the single most sadistic dungeon in the mid levels of the game. Worth about 12k exp the first run on normal though. (It's a level 8 quest)

I'm tempted to powerlevel a character on Cannith just so I can run people through the pit; because you need a guide for that quest if you want any hope.

Re: DDO

Let me know if you want a Rogue to disable the traps so you have an easier time...

If ya wanna join in the search I could use the other blade, but I'm allready starting to duelclass Rouge on Legorlas. Now if only I could find the second Trog merc...

Re: DDO

You know that fork before the kobold brothers? One of the alcoves on the right side (map-wise) has a lever. Flip that, and an alcove slightly before the split (left on the map) will open, with another lever. Flip that and then you'll find the second merc smack dab in the middle of the split.
