What do you mean?
THAT Oni Kagura? what about it?
no sorry false alert

I answer this:
Google Translate listed her weapon as "Gun" and I'm wondering if that's some bizarre translation error or not.
I thought that if the new girl wp is gun then maybe the next next game might be that but well it's not. I check and my gg trans as Spear, even in here the new char wield spear:

is it just me or do the girls bodies look weird in the CGs for the latest game? keika and hatsuka

and hatsuka's voice sounds very different, it's listed as the same VA but she sounds waaay tooo moe, too high pitched

also no mention of mikiya whatsoever

*sigh* i was excited but this was a rather disappointing release, maybe my expectations were too high but nah their bodies do look weird

best thing is that Keika's VA still nails it
I think the goal was to draw them as older? Like, both girls gained a cup size and they both have the "light lipstick" look that Yamamoto does for characters that are grown women and not high school students. ( i was going to say young women but Youko is like 1000 years old so young isn't the right word).

If you advanced them a couple years that'd make them like 19 and 17 I think? Though if that was the goal then it sounds like Hatsuka's VA didn't get the memo (or she just always sounds like that).

No that's not what i mean besides like in some cgs their bodies even look SMALLER lol
but like idk how to explain it
like sometimes the torso looks smaller than it should or something? and stuff like that? like their proportions just look off somehow or maybe i'm tripping

The girls got bustier (especially Keika, she's like a D cup now or something) but they didn't get any taller or otherwise change so yeah, it looks off. (For comparison, Ryza from Atelier Ryza's basically gained a cup size every game but since her overall look also changes each game it doesn't look out of place. It isn't just the same model with bigger tits.)

I was more bothered at the weird lack of variety in the CG set - there's at least a few instances where both girls are being assaulted in the same position at the same angle, and that's not something Yamamoto had ever let slide before. I wonder if she got sick halfway through production and they just kludged it or something. That's pure speculation though.

Yeah the art on this new one stuck out to me as really bland and lifeless. Not only are all the poses identical, it also feels like everything's zoomed way in so the artist has to draw less. Iffy anatomy also. Weird, isn't this the same artist as always?

Yeah it's the same artist, yamamoto kazue, she has a very distinct artstyle to her so it's easily recognizable, especially the characters faces
but ye like i had already noticed that a few CGs from the latest games looked weird, but now in this one almost every CG looks weird to me

Updated OP. Spotted the next game on Dlsite, it's another Manyuki game with the two sisters from the Reimeiki series that had their games not too long ago.

Guessing that the Reimeiki series might be over at this point and now will switch between Manyuki and Shinpuki.

This makes the third Manyuki game; my guess is we'll see a third Shinpuki game and then we'll see something else as a break from that. Yamamoto-sensei likes her sets of three.

I stopped buying the JP releases a while ago but I still keep on eye on Shiravune to see if they'll announce another translation.

The art's kind of odd; based on the sketches we're seeing for the pre-order bonus posters/images, Yamamoto's actual drawing skills seem to be fine. Though the weird lack of variety in CGs in Manyuki 2 indicates Yamamoto herself wasn't feeling it for whatever reason. IIRC, Debonosu's process is that Yamamoto does all of the base drawings and then her assistants convert the base drawings into game CGs.

I do wonder if there was a recent change in either assistant or equipment affecting the transition from hand-drawn sketch to in-game CG, though.

Manyuki 3 is out (and had the age regression monster right in the preview pictures, so there's the loli tag).

Souseiki 2 (aka Kagura Genesis 2) is announced, this time with a cat girl protagonist. No indication yet if this will also get an English release like the first Genesis game, but I'll be keeping an eye out for that. This one's release date is January next year, so it's actually coming out relatively soon - if it has the same number of CGs as the last Genesis game then Yamamoto's probably been working on this one all year.

Genesis 2 with the tiger girl is out. No idea if it needs content warning tags.

Hopefully it'll get an English release but Debonosu hasn't had an English release since Genesis in January last year.

No announcement yet of what the next game will be.

Edit: Ah, uses the zarashi-wakashi youkai, so loli tag it gets.

Next game announced - 神楽凌艶譚~沙月の章~ aka Ryouentan 2. Release date is 2/28/25 - later this month.

Another small scale game at much lower price, with the art done by a different artist. (This girl's the younger sister of the girl from the first Ryouentan game; both girls are students of Maika.)

I don't recognize the artist but if they're like the prior artist then they've should've done art for the Kagura Shadow Wars game.

Edit: It's the same artist as the first Ryouentan game, I got thrown off because the auto-translate read their name in two different ways and I didn't catch it.

Ryouentan 1 only sold 1100 yen. But Ryouentan 2 sold 1650 yen. Higher 50% price and still have 4+1CG... really expensive...

Ryouentan 2 is out; next game announced.

神楽奇譚~椿の章~ aka Kagura Kitan 1. Yamamoto-sensei is back to doing the art again.

No idea why it warrants a new series designation; the only clue I'm finding is the plot synopsis, which is that this is a rescue mission to save another girl who'd been offered to the youkai.

We don't have any art for the rescue target so not sure where that's going. Ama Kagura had a premise like that where you got CG scenes of your rescue target being molested as you closed in on them.

Guessing either 1) bad ending with both our PC and the rescue target being raped by the final boss (like Ama Kagura) or 2) the rescue target's been converted into a youkai and she's the final boss.
