It seems the creator has been sick since the 31st of May. He had a fever that kept rising even after taking medication, went to the hospital, flu and COVID tests turned out negative, but his fever rose to over 40° C(!). He didn't drop back to the 37° range until today.

As for progress on SHRIFT, the following things remain to be done (direct MTL):
Text for each demon's begging H-scene & a little bit of text for the bond quest
Final check of the dollhouse chase gimmick
Bug check for the deepest part of the deep sea temple
Ending art for Shirokure & Reimei (I think I can draw this bit by bit on my iPad)

Understandably, he's not sure when he'll be able to resume working on the game. He hopes to update this Ci-en article when his condition stabilises.

When at full Trust with a Demon (can be grinded easy by Sex-ing them in the Hotel, even with one of the Cards equipped to Sex even in Husk state), Sex her at least once and, when given the options to Leave/Continue Sex-ing etc, choose the option "Have her Leave" (or something similar named).

You will then be able to re-find each Demon in their original story location (if it was a temporary location, it will re-appear on the Map Locations), and you will be able to re-fight her (winning will get her back into the Hotel).

Is there a reason you'd even want to do this?

Also, my game keeps opening in a 'vertical' resolution and stays that way no matter what I do. Has anyone else had this issue before?

This is currently the only vanilla way of refighting most of the demons (the hotel only replays scenes).

Never had that resize issue afaik

NP, I think I'm just slowly going crazy and that this is the game's default resolution because it only happens for this game and even with a fresh install. Maybe I didn't notice.

I've read it's supposed to be in the hospital but either I'm horribly unlucky or I'm searching in the wrong area.

Hey, recently tried the demo. Fantastic fan translation work. I do want to buy the game now, but I just had a few quick questions first.

In the full game, is there any way to get around the Faith drain and "only 5 climaxes stored, recover 1 a day (or more with meds)" gameplay systems?

I get why they're there, but the seem like they'd be pretty annoying to deal with all the time. Thanks in advance!

In the full game (full as in, it's still in progress, Ch3 is the one to come next soon), you can still climax even in "Husk" state (which you reach after cumming 6 times), however when you get the screen that prompts to either "Continue from before-fight save" or "Continue the story as-is" or "Be drained to death", you won't get the option to "keep being drained until empty" (since you're already "empty" of cum).

You can still choose to be "drained to death", which makes you lose all your levels, but even then you get another option either to go to the GameOver event for said enemy, or continue from lvl 1.

As for Faith (lvl) drain, it's unavoidable in fights during story and on-field, but from the Izayoi hotel, you can watch the scenes (like in a "MyRoom" from Shrift 1) without losing Levels. You can optionally re-enable losing levels there, too, by equipping one of the Cards for this, and there's also another Card that allows in the Hotel to be drained even while in Husk state (this effect is also had by the Lvl-drain card).


If you want an option to "Force-squeeze 1 Cum only" from Hotel enemies though, I got a mod for that

Oh wow they're still working on it? Nice.

It's a shame that there's no quick way around the level drain in game, though I imagine if the dev is still working on it, that might be something they add when the game is finished. Either way, between those mods and how good the fan translation seems to be, I'll have to buy this next chance I get. Thanks for the reply, and the work on your mods, too!
