I still try to find what is interesting in "timing bar"...for me it's just a different version of button masher - a bit more annoying at that since Eluku decided to keep the bar rather small.Im kind of surprised Eluku went with a button masher route and not the more interesting "timing bar" as used for the analfly and harpy.

the little goblin things after your 1st save point. they insta latch on without me being able to fight it off effectively. And when I do manage to mash in a way that gets me loose, they grab back on the instant they get close before I get up to run away.Iirc holding down left and right arrow does the trick for most creatures.
With what specific enemy do you have issues with? Some escape mechanism are more complicated.

no idea if these things come out infinitely or not, they just the 1st group of enemies I encounter after escaping the very 1st enemy. they just start eatin me out & cannot find a way to fight them off if they can just keep dodging my attacks until they one-touch me. once one of em get me, am pretty much screwed unless I can somehow run around them which results in that other orc thing cornering me. just saying, this game dont seem to offer much in resisting the enemies or effectively fighting them off, unlike some other games Ive played hereIf you're talking about the butthole goblins that came out of the walls infinitely, then you can technically dodge them before you go in the button mashing. For a brief period, before they actually start the "massage" animation, you will see an arrow prompt around Nona that you can press to dodge. If you press anything else, then Nona gets "massaged".
Unfortunately, if there are three of them, you will have a difficult time fighting them off because enemies can grab you while downed. I mean, I think you press the jump to get up faster, but I haven't played in months.
You can temporarily stun the bag orc, but he recovers. You can shuffle under him because he can't bend, but I feel he still grabs you if you are directly under him.

Correct, currently he is working on the arena fights.
