This is true, but it's Excessm we are talking about. The one who made the legendary Parade Buster with like 50 different girls. Let me put it this way, with Smash Boy it feels like Excessm is going backwards. This work didn't really bring anything new to the table and fans like me are left wondering why. I am still glad I spent my money on this game, but I just hope he isn't losing interest in these kind of games.

TL;DR IMO this work seems lazy compared to those in the past.

To be fair creating an enemy in ParadeBuster very likely needs less animation-frames and coding than one in SmashBoy.

Also I'm afraid that it's less interested in making games and rather less interested in making adult content in general.
At least seeing how his Twitter activity has changed from the lewd artworks every few days to mostly just foodpics nowadays.

It’s not something that can totally be fixed with more girls, this is a fetish game with minimum fetish. Why would you build the story like this, be so Femdom focused, and NOT have game over scenes with more detailed Femdom? It is the PERFECT opportunity to have extended Femdom game overs... if anything the whole setup for this game seems to be building to that purpose, yet it just evaporates

And where did find this information from m8? On a serious note it is very possible that there will be more girls added and it is highly likely that there will be reused animation/girl models. But let me point this out, the bunny casino scene. Instead of adding more fightable girls, Excessm could add more content like the bunny casino. I would imagine that adding those kinds of scenes would be less work than animating new girls.

anyway I'm having problem with the game, when I replayed the brainwashing scene (5-3) I find my game glitching out and I can't progress/rewatch the scene. Anyone else encountered this problem and have solution?

I like the game but feel like it did not live up to our expectations. Problem with this developer is that for every Parade Buster and One Shota, we get a Kariyume and now Smash Boy. All of the games are good but the former are clearly larger in scale and have more content than the latter. I really think Smash Boy has potential, but who knows if it will live up to it. I enjoy the artwork, just wish there was more variety, especially when it comes to the action. In One Shota, some girls had 4 positions! Game overs in PB were really hot and would of went well in this but were absent too. At least we had English language support right off the bat which we didn't for the other games...

It seems like you get way too much SP near the beginning of the game. It's hard to feel like I'm progressing if I can buy every skill and tech after I have beaten the very first level.

It's not a bad game in the slightest, people's expectations were just really, really high.

Let me reiterate.
It's not as fap-worthy as any of his past titles. Very little audio, the screen isn't built for a fullscreen resolution, there's less than half the animations he usually has, and what could have been spent on quality design instead went into gameplay-- which we all agree becomes stupendously costly when you look at what price we lost for it in it's purpose of ero design.
People's expectations weren't high-- the standards were. It's like comparing an older masterpiece to a newer, lesser form and saying it's somehow the customer's fault that they were underwhelmed.
I'm sure he spent quite some time on the game, but it was released as a WIP at best. There's missing pieces to the game that should have been in, but we know, aren't.
Again, I'm not bashing him, I just think he should have taken more time before he put it on the table. It's got a good framework to it, it just needs to be... Finished, I think.
I compare this game to What a Wonderful Day! but with three lanes, and that's what the gameplay is. Take away lewd noises and switch some genders and you have this. It's not necessarily bad, but we were all waiting for something a bit longer, and with more content.
The "difficulty" affects AI, but the AI already seems so underwhelming past a certain point that you can practically wavedash slide attack across the entire game. If so much effort was put into game design, why would there be such an uninteresting way to battle it out?
Honestly. If he waited 4 more months at least and put some more work into it, it'd show-- a lot.

This game has the same kind of game overs like his first two games, slightly changed speech bubbles and endless rape.

I'd say it's bugged or simply not implemented.
For all other enemies that filename is the animation for their main Hentai-Attack and all of those work completely fine.

Well by editing the image files I was able to replace her armpit-attack with it, tho the animation's kinda wonky and skewered - maybe that's why it was not implemented. Doesn't help that I had to squeeze and change around some things, because it wasn't the same imageformat as the attack I replaced it with.

Also he has patched the game as there was a bug that wouldn't let you unlock the "Last Stand" skill whatever that is. I don't suppose someone has an updated version?

Even this game was fun to play with one stupid hit animation (counter with a good timing)

If you ask me only 4 hit combo animation would be enough for this game. Also all of their games since this, have a good counter system that makes game enjoyable, but at this game its just makes no sense, easy to pull off. There are tons of combo animations but still feels empty gameplay wise idk

i keep seing ppl commenting on the disepointening of this game.
I do agree excessm older tittle were better content wise but i must say as a game standpoint this is problably the best one yeat if u consider how glitchless it is and how good it actuly plays.
I think excessm had to fokus on a smooth working game rather than loot of content because of steam realese, if games are bad there nowday they just get to the part of steamshop were no one will ever see them unles u search for it.

since he made the game in this way i also think we will se loots of content updates to the game or maby loots of ppl start to modify it since some ppl are alredy going trough the files.

Only thing i really dislikes is the difficulty and the struggle mekanik.
I much rather have the old system or use a way off smashing 2 keys to escape.
and the way difficult work is both bad and good i like that enimys become faster and do hits more on harder, but i dont like the increase of hp that is a mistake many devs do on raised diffeculty.
