Grave's punch launched, and hit the man's face. Though in contrast to her super speed, she seemed to lack super strength. Her punch hit him rather light, in fact her frame felt quite light. Still, her speed allowed a decent impact, causing the man to reel back from the blow. Growling, he threw an incomplete blast at her, basic fire that even he knew how to conjure. However, it still packed enough to hit Cynder hard. The fiery blast exploded against her torso, the force knocking the wind out of her new lungs and sending her flying back to land on her back against the ground with a thud. Not a moment passed before the man seeked to end it, jumping into the air and bringing his blade over his head to strike it down upon Grave's torso. "Now DIE!" he shouted in demand.

Luckily, the blast only left him prone, but far from incapacitated.

Grave rolled away from the blow instinctively, using the agility of her new body to quickly get back on her feet and move closer. She had hoped the punch from earlier would be more effective, but unfortunately it seemed that her body was too light to make proper use of the speed she possessed. Or rather, she wasn't using this new body right, nor did she understand it's advantages well enough. Bludgeoning him with her fists wasn't completely ineffective, but clearly inefficient. Her speed was likely at least partially a result of how light her frame was, rather than purely a matter of physical might as Cynder assumed. This meant a change of tactics was required, then. While she was definitely tough, another blast like that could be dangerous.

Grave knew she had only moments to think of something. Brute force was out of the question. Perhaps she could try to make the man trip and fall, pin him to the ground, but her unimpressive strenght and light body would conspire against it. Besides, she was a lot more comfortable with the idea of knocking him out at least anyway. Thinking on her new body and possible abilities, she realized that right now she could only make assumptions. Rather than risk things with fire, however, she decided to try manifesting an object - a solid metal ball to hurl at her foe. A rather small one - she didn't intend to do much damage, just nail the bastard in the forehead and make him feel some pain. Then she could probably punch him in the throat while he still squirmed. And kick him in the balls, if she hadn't already by that point.

Through all of her thinking, Grave would find that the result of her actions were nowhere near as complicated. Yes, it was easy to dodge. She rolled right out of the way and was on her feet in a split second. Conjuring up a ball, the man's blade lodged in the ground, getting stuck upon hitting nothing. Then Cynder threw the metal ball at his head. The men fell over, groaning. Almost unconscious but not quite.

Meanwhile, Atea offered a golf clap to Grave's success. "Extra points for possible brain damage." she assessed the cat girl's performance.

"Shit happens." Grave shot back, barely registering the remark. She was now concentrated on the battle at hand, adrenaline pumping as the mixture of emotions from before gave way to proper, clear focus. Now she had a chance to take the man down. She could try grappling, but she wasn't entirely confident with her abilities in that regard. She trained with swords, not throws and locks. Cynder briefly considered simply putting a blade to the man's throat, but that was somewhat risky if he tried to do something stupid. No, it was better to knock him out and deal with him in a more leisurely manner. Or set him on fire. For some reason, the thought of doing so seemed to amuse her greatly.

Sighing, the catgirl decided that as amusing as thaumaturgical combustion sounded, work had to come first. Atea frowned as Grave mentioned something about a religious Order. "My, how fresh must you be to not know about the Order? Indeed, he is a soldier belonging to a group of angel worshiping humans with a violent xenophobic disposition. Any one armed with the symbol of a pair of glorious wings somewhere on their attire is a member of this Order, and someone trained to either run away or to kill mamono on sight due to propaganda and lies sown by the angels themselves." She declared. "Often times men so indoctrinated are considered a lost cause, but some are sometimes converted and taught the truth. Either way, men captured by mamono like this solitary fool meet the same fate." She chuckled, as a black tentacle of unknown origin slid out from under her dress, pulling his belt off while the woman giggled.

"This is how you're going to survive in that form. You at least know that much, right?" She chuckled with wicked intent. "He won't get hard like this, but he won't need his clothes either. Make sure you leave nothing behind though, in case someone comes looking for him."
