I'll put this here, since it can help a lot of people with a lot of games(More specificly, japanese language translation during games), in theory it works with all games.
It is possible to take the text out of the game(Unless it's using images for it's text) using a program, and then there's a translator that works with it.

To translate you will need:

AGTH, getting the text.
You must be registered to see the links


Translation Aggregator, translating things.
You must be registered to see the links


How to use: Make sure to have both files in the same folder, then start Translation Aggregator.

Tools > Launch Text Hooker

Injection Type > Launch new process: (click the ... and navigate to your game of choice. Or start the game in whatever way you start it, and then select it from the list using an existing process)

Interjection Options, make sure AGTH is checked, this way you can work directly with the translator.

and AGTH options, make sure auto copy to clipboard is checked.


In theory, this should work for every kind of process, even if the translations are engrish, it's better then nothing.

If you have ATLAS, it works together with TA.

TA gives you several different translations using several different translators, including ones you have installed(Like ATLAS), and allows you to easily compare translations.
This is mostly useful if one translation doesn't make sense(unreadable engrish or failing in some way), then you can just look a little bit to the side and read what a different translator says.

Atlas is one of at least 8 windows for different translations, it's a matter of preference.

If you're talking about the Regional something or another, here's it is (according to my laptop)

Step 1: get to the Control Panel some way or another (Start -> Control Panel)
Step 2: Open the Region and Language window (Change keyboards or other input method)
Step 3: Go to Administrative tab (you may need to log in as an administrator)
Step 4: Click the Change system locale... button. Choose Japanese(Japan) in the drop down list.
Step 5: Click OK to close all the windows opened until now. Restart when prompted.

Hope that will help, somehow.

Hi, evrybody

ive noticed that a few games ive tried to run, i believe its the ones that are from japense regional settings (yes my computer is on/in jap unicode): a couple of them think im pressing the up or down button really fast coninuously, this had made soem games unplayable. i have no idea what my problem is. any ideas?

i refuse to belive im the only one who has this problem, until recently i jsut thought some games were messed up or bugged

I've had that a few times with other games, many of them legit games bought from stores.

The problem might be your keyboard, and stupid as it may sound, is there something stuck under the keys? Did you try pressing the key for a while and then letting go?

I've had this problem with all the touhou games if I alt tab while they're loading, just closing it and just starting it up again without touching anything while it loads fixes it for me.

nothign wrong with my keyboard i use it all day from word to wow, i tried alt tabing didnt really seem to work, still thinks its beeing keyed mega fast when i put it back :(

Ok.. I read everything and went to control panel. Already I have a problem. there are no regional settings. Maybe there somewhere else, but I've honestly never had to change the language of my computer before. Talk to me like I'm a 5 year old, give me step by step if possible?

EDIT: Scratch that, I had my control panel set to classic view. HAH! Figures

You'll need to google it. Just google 'AGTH download' and it should be any of the first hits.

yep, i found it, downloaded,
i even found some "others"
but isn't there an automatic one that injects the translation over the sinisterly incomprehensible text box?..,
it too tedious TT_TT..
I really appreciate those that would help :3

(yes im lazy to browse other genre's other than the "hentai games" section..

Sorry, but if there was, the AGTH ATLAS combo wouldn't be the most popular one.
