It's apparently extended on the link now. Before it was just his performance, now it looks like the whole thing (or at least the whole first round) which now included Jimmy Fallon's performance, too.

1 week does not a double post make. Probably not a shock that I'm a fan of Dancing with the Stars and this season has been a freaking roller coaster. Last week was the week stars picked their most memorable year and I watched, like, three of the packages and just bawled. This week was Disney week. And I have to share some of the performances, going backwards, on purpose.
This is, hands down, my favorite from Disney night. It's Riker Lynch, from Glee and one of those tweeny pop bands, R5. Although technically, it's Captain Jack Sparrow doing a paso doble. (For those unfamiliar, the paso doble is a "bullfight dance" with the man as the matador and the woman is the cape, hence all the throwing and spinning around of Allison, his partner.)
Then, last week, as I said, was the stars picking a song from the most memorable year of their lives. According to the host, their official upload of this performance has reached above 3 million views on youtube. (This is not the 'official' upload, hence the low count.) Noah Galloway is a former US soldier who lost an arm and leg in the line of duty. He is now a model. This is his and his partner, Sharna's, contemporary (which is sort of a freestyle/ballet type dance) performance (that earned him a standing ovation.)
And while it's a profound piece, this has actually been my favorite dance of his to date, the tango (not to be confused with the Argentine tango, which is performed slightly different.)
This man's upper body strength is fucking amazing. Go back and watch those lifts again.
And while I don't think Noah is going to go all the way (although I might be surprised) he is a very strong competitor and I want to see him go as far as possible.

If we're sharing ballet covers of songs, I'm throwing this one into the mix:
I shared it with my friend a while back who told me that she liked this video infinitely better than the actual video for the song, which made her cry. And, against her warnings to keep away from it, I watched it. I still love the song but the video makes me angry. In part for content and in part for (to me) the lack of "resolution" at the end. There's an ending, but it's left just ambiguous enough that it's "and then what?!"
If you haven't seen it, I'm not going to say 'go watch' nor am I going to warn people away from it. I will, however, throw out triggers for LGBTQ relationships, violence toward, and just...if you are an at all humane human being, this video stands a good chance of bothering you a lot. I feel a bit better, having watched Hozier's story behind the video (found
