Yeah, I was hoping not to have to resort to that but it's looking more and more like my only option. Ugh, now I have to find free versions of the ME1 DLC just so I can load these saves...
Also... question for those that have completed both games...
Does aybody else think that it's glaringly obvious that the Illusive Man is Admiral Hackett from ME1?
I don't think he is. Illusive Man doesn't really agree with Alliance politics much of the time and is voiced by Michael Sheen. Admiral Hackett also comes back once in the second game (for the crashed Normandy DLC) and he was voiced by Lance Henriksen. No, I don't think it's glaringly obvious that they're the same. I don't even think they are the same.
@ Toxic: Yeah, the Lust boss was pretty fucked up. It was a huge naked Cleopatra... and her nipples have tongues inside them and shoot out undead babies. It was fucked.
Thinking about it - will the decisions made in Dragon Age affect the add-on in a similar fashion that the ones in Mass Effect 1 affect Mass Effect 2? Because if so. . .
In my Dragon Age playthrough I've really pissed off Alistair to the point of him walking away from my party - however, he's supposed to return in Awakening, and he is the king in the trailer I saw. If it does work like Mass Effect my new party's gonna be short one member.
From what I've read only one of the original party members joins back with you, and which one it is is completely random. The rest are background characters or not in it at all.
I should hope it's not random, and instead based on the 'affection' bar. Granted, if you have two party members maxed out, then I guess other factors would have to come into play, like how often you use them, what level they are, different stuff like that, but it shouldn't be random. I mean, what if you wound up with a party member you never use, like Cait Sith or so- oh, wait, wrong game.
That's nothing! I remember games where you didn't have any fancy graphics!
All you had was your brain, and a computer screen with words on it!
And it usually went something like this!
>FUCK YOU
DON'T KNOW HOW TO "FUCK" SOMETHING.

This is Wiki, though, so no telling how accurate it is. It likely looks at whichever save you use and takes the data from there. See my thrilled face at the thought of the dwarf being a major player. -_- Going to be interesting given the multiple playthroughs I'm going to be doing.
just finished bioshock 2. all i have to say is OMG that was awesome but incredibly hard. the only problem i have with it is the multiplayer it just doesn't fit the game they should of left it out.
So, I've pretty much fallen in love with Mass Effect. I'm really enjoying the setting, the writing isn't bad, and since I enjoy dialog anyway it works out nicely. I do wish that Tali were one of the female romance options, though. In either of the games.
What could you possibly have against lecherous, alcoholic, cheating and generally vile Oghren? He has such a charming personality! In no way can I see anything wrong with him.
To be serious though, I think Oghren is in the game mostly for comic relief and to give the dwarves at least one playable character. The character that I dislike most is Wynne, truth be told. She's always trying to chaperone me - in the middle of an epic adventure. Imagine preparing for a fight, getting all pumped up, only to have Wynne pop her head in to remind you that you better put on some warm underwear. . .
This should almost be in the hate thread but since I'm not that pissed (more annoyed) and it deals with games... why the hell can't deliver companies do their damn job and get my Aliens vs. Predator into stores on the day its supposed to be released... not two days later.
Bastards.
Never been a fan of dwarves, sorry *shrugs* That, and I've yet to add the little runt into my party. I'm still working through the Sacred Ashes quest. Although your complaint reminds me of the Alistair/Wynne sock conversation.
