The Awesome Games Done Quick Marathon is still going on - somehow, they managed to break Pokemon Yellow insanely and beat the game with a level 100 Mew, a level 100 Venusaur, and a level 7 Pikachu. And Metroid Prime 2 is now suddenly in the running as the best run so far of the marathon, as a brand new, NEVER BEFORE USED glitch was invented to skip losing any of Samus equipment in a scripted bit early in the game AND get early Power Bombs, not to mention removing the armor of the Morph Ball and leaving us with a strange ghostly orb (leading to the naming of the glitch "Flickerball" or "Ghostball").
The team has already raised OVER $25,000 and have upped their goal to $30,000, which is well on it's way to being surpassed. Donations during Metroid went towards the prize of a custom-made plushie of a Metroid (it was soooo cuuuuute X3), as well as artwork and other goodies. The Legend of Zelda games are going to be going on now and for the next five hours or so, including LoZ NES, Link's Awakening, Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and possibly Majora's Mask (Majora's Mask is in a bidding war with Super Mario 64 120 star run, whoever has more bids wins), so get over there quick if you want them.
Myst was successfully donated for and was run. Remember that ALL runs are being recorded along with the commentary (which has been awesome, Pokemon's commentary made the run four times as epic), and they will all be downloadable from the site after the marathon is over.
Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy IV, and Chrono Trigger are all still upcoming, as are many other great games, so come over to SpeedDemosArchive.com at any time, both the game stream and commentary streams are there.
