ACT [GRIMHELM] Alien Quest: Eve (RJ311440)


I see people are having disagreements and etc. I'll put my coin as a lurker, on the table. And be very honest and fair as possible. Totally impartial.

Design: Wonderful and simplistic
Graphics: Pretty good for a h-game
Gameplay: Love it and decent metroidvania style
H-Scenes: Impactless and very safe
Fetishes: None, except "Monsters" amd "Tentacles" as tags and mild guro for the dead enemy bodies in "Pods"

Essentially. This is more of a game then an H-Game. My personal opinion, is that he drops making any H-Content from now on. He doesn't seem to have any unique taste or fetish that applies to the theme/style of the product he sells. So it mostly turns on people with super tame interests. And tame porn is essentially boring and lacks personality. This again, is just my opinion. And i've been playing H-Games for many years now. And it has truly crashed down to "Dumb Tame" levels where RPGMaker style is mostly focused at and personality/identity of a product is lost.

As for his selling point. Grimhelm has some mad skills in making things, Game-y products and seems to like Metroidvania style games, or rather more RPG/Action oriented ones. Which is nice, all things considering. And he has to sell his product somehow. And staying on a product where he feels like he's done his and wants to move on, is understandable. Let's be honest. There was NOTHING to gain from Boss Scenes as they would be very tame, as again i said before. So don't expect anything there and quit asking for it. I would love it myself that he'd TOTALLY finish it. Sure. But from the point of time and money spent on his project, i'd say it's very finished and he should find something else to do and perhaps enjoy it.

This is simply my perspective and opinion.

While I agree with most of your statement, I feel that if you think the H-scenes are too boring and tame I think you need to either lay off the hentai games for awhile or lower your standards. Because this would not be considered tame by most people out there.

honestly agreed with almost all of your point. my only small disappointment lies in the fetish part, girl have huge mountain yet Grimhelm didn't put any sort of breast play (my fetish tbh) and just let it swing around, i mean come on that just waste of potential if i have to say. The graphic are wonderful, animation are astounding, and yet the H-scene is bit lack of variety if i have to say... still like most of it tho.

also regarding Guro there's actually one guro with the facehugger if i'm not wrong. the guro tag not just represent the background aftermath corpse

My standards are very simple. Have SOME personality or identity, and honestly. GrimHelm seems to really not have any...i dunno. Specific taste in question? While catering to people with tame and simple taste is all good and that. There's so much of that on the internet. We're simply drowning in it. Not sure if that is specifically the western industry in question. I'm not into guro or other extreme fetishes, or by my degree of "Extreme". Then again. Everyone has their tastes and such, so i'm not gonna hack on anyone's taste, maybe i'll do that in private like a jerk.

Yes. Girl has a huge rack. So? I've seen real life people have pretty big breasts that ARE real and not artifical. I know when it gets out of "Reality" sense, sure. But she was no way too big that wasn't sensible. But "Breast" fetish is honestly a tame and popular trend, even i have that to a degree of my own. GrimHelm has some shocking talent i'd never expect of anyone so easily. I'm not sure if he's from Europe or US. But that doesn't matter in my opinion. His talent and skill in making something like this is impressive. But while impressive is good and all. In my opinion. He hasn't really any H-Content style or fetish outside of the typical norm, is what i'm saying. I'm not exactly sure how much one could "Normalize" a fetish, but something i've seen being almost everywhere and a usual tag that appears in most cases of H-Content.

In my opinion, again. I feel like GrimHelm would do much better if he took some time to explore some of his interests, hidden or not, whether i like his style or interest or not. So that he'd be more inspiried perhaps? To do more H-Content with more.....flair and fetishes? There's NOTHING wrong with exploring that. I honestly started bottom with very, very simplistic tastes myself. Everyone has some secret and unmentionable tastes that would turn off or disgust others. I think it would be healthy for him. I'm not sure about GrimHelm's opinion on this subject. I'd gladly hear what he thinks of this. Hear what he has to say and share his thoughts on this.

And again. Before any of you go and rag on me about "My standards" and tell me to lay off something. I'd like you to reconsider saying that again. Because either you didn't read or you glossed over and just said your piece without thinking. I stated "My opinion" without ragging on someone else's opinion or interests and simply criticiqued and expressed my thoughts. There's nothing wrong about that. Hey, Bloodedge, can you explain yourself a little further on what you mean by "tame"? i read your whole post but that wasn't still quite clear to me.

Actually i get that impression from all his other games but not from this one. It seems pretty unique on his tastes too, even to a disgusting degree indeed just as you say (yeah i'm looking at you aliens-sex).

I'm not bashing you, i really just don't get what you mean by tame or identity-void. And i'm real curious because i could say that about other games, but this one? i would think it twice.

Oh, and the only thing i really NEED to say is; who fucking maps the analog stick in a 2d sidescroller?. That was just my ONLY problem, and if i use joy2key? the damn d-pad changes the subitem.

Seems pretty tame to me too. Only guro I found was when I went out of my way to get the chestbuster to show up. No all-the-way-thru. Only 1 futanari. No dicks so big they deform the MC's belly. No egging. No wasteplay. No vore. There aren't even any dicknipples.

Was kinda hoping to get a predalien impregnating her from both ends, like a porn version of the scene with the pregnant women in AVP 2.

Like, vanilla? Yeah, well, it can get more vanilla than that, but otherwise it's pretty easygoing, yeah (it sure can get more nasty lol)

Yes, pretty much all the sex in the game could be replaced with human on human and it'd stay the same.
Hell, many games have juicier human on human than this game has xeno on human which shouldn't even be possible.
 
I wasnt trying to bash anyone's tastes or their standards when I said that. I was simply stating that the h-content in the game would not be considered tame by 90% of everyone out there.

Also I get where your coming from. A lot of aeba fuchi's works have a "personality" to them so to speak with the way he generates popular content using exclusively titfucks. But I dont see how this game needs more guro or something more extreme (and let's be honest that's what your asking for) to have personality. To me it has plenty personality. Grimhelm doesn't need to shove in some hidden fetish. For all you know an action metroidvania game with a stacked protagonist IS his hidden fetish.

Shoot grandpa rick in rick and morty has a thing for planets of all things so it's not impossible.

@Ragnarok-Bloodedge @super_slicer grimhelm has been replying and reading a lot of comments in his wordpress. try on commenting so we might get some juicy stuff in the future. im not sure if i can convey it properly in a short and easy to understand way

He complained a lot of times on his blog, he often wasn't happy with his work (he reworked Dark Star heavily) and finally - he said that after AQE he will never do more games like this (or at least he said something in this vibe). Yet... he released AQE, got a new idea and he's doing it again. Also, consider how long it took him to finish it after 0.13 demo which had ~50% of the content, most of the map and he probably had stuff finished but not available in demo.
He's just getting tired when a project is dragging for too long. Like most of creative people.

Eh, frankly not a fan of guro or major distension so I'm rather glad he kept those things out. Feel like some people need to get some perspective when a game that primarily features alien/monster sex is derided as being tame. Sure for us degenerates that have been looking at hentai for years, it's missing some oomph, but for a regular person? Tame would not be the word they'd use, I'd wager.

I do wish some of the scenes with the larger monsters had loads to match...

Granted I don't agree that he should stop doing H because what he does is too vanilla either.
 
But it is tame, the only outlier being the chestburster. Monsters don't make +18 content wild or something. There are games far harsher than this one involving only humans.
