Every super team needs to have one grizzled loner, it's union rules. Problem with Wolverine is that he's the grizzled loner on nearly every hero team in Marvel, and he's usually held in something of an advisement position, if not outright leadership role. Which is odd for a grizzled loner.

Wrong. You still need the indestructible skeleton and claws to back it up. Otherwise, you'll get taken less seriously than you are now.

Considering he and Cyke had a bit of a tiff and they've split the teams *again* and he's now off training a new generation of X-men, yeah. Grizzled loner in leadership position, again. Him leading "Uncanny X-Force" I can see. Those are the ones that go in and do the dirty jobs (It's him, Archangel, Psylocke, Phantomex, and Deadpool) that the X-men can't officially do, so that sort of makes sense, but at the same time... Then again, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the split in the books, given I've got one SL running with the brood and they're in space, another where Colossus has become the Juggernaut, and now Regenesis, the one where they've split the teams again. I really gotta find me some back issues and crossover records...

Except Wolverine came first, being created in 1974 vs. Duke Nukem's 1991... and considering Duke Nukem is essentially a compilation of rip off's (his famous "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum" line was taken almost word for word from John Carpenter's They Live) I find it amusing that you phrased yourself this way.

But it wouldn't make a difference. And yes, big surprise, a famous comic book series was around before a famous video game series. GASP! My senses are over-loaded with absolute shock and horror.

I don't particularly like either of them, but at least Duke Nukem has the whole "Corny" thing going for him in a more amusing way.
