That's something I'd hope for at least, yeah, though largely somewhat doubtful in the end really. Granted, most of that doubt just comes from the fact I'm sure we'll all be playing a new Hounds of the XXXX in around 3-4 years time.
 
I'm getting black screen when try to see the new scene. No scene but the "inventory menu" shows when I press "F". Anyone else having the same problem? ÍTired both 32 and 64 version
 
Did you play from a old save or started a new game? I played from my old save and I get that black screen. Still didn't try a new game...

I tried both. Everytime there would be would be a "scene" it goes black. When I start a new game not even the fighting map shows up.
I have enough free space, ram. VGA driver updated, also the previous version has no problem.

What's your system's region format? Based on the Ci-en updates the black screens is a bug caused by some region formats (usually European) using commas instead of periods for decimal points. So changing your region format to Japanese or English (US) might fix it.

Not sure if this helps, but I just downloaded the newest version (64bit) and extracted/replaced it atop of the previous version, loaded an old save, played around with talking to this guy and that and got the new scenes easily enough (without the black screen). I mention this not as a "Haha, it works fine for me" but I guess more a bid to help troubleshoot in that if my playing the new version by the previously mentioned process works fine then it would appear to be (I'm no IT expert mind) more likely something PC related than the game itself.

Hope this helps in some manner.

As a complete aside though, aside from MC's home-invasion and subsequent Game Over, assuming you fix the lock on the door is there anything new in the latest update?

No, that's the only new thing. The update was mostly behind the curtain stuff to reduce the file size and make the game run smoother (at the cost of added loading time) by changing how things are loaded in (thus creating the black screen bug for certain region formats). The home invasion/kidnapping scene was added so that players would get something out of the new update.

Also, currently translating the new update, if you talk to Zetoo about Laki you do get your locks changed regardless of the choice you make after. It's why the home-invasion takes place over 2 nights. Night 1 was them trying but the lock was changed. Night 2 they get around it. The choice you make that prevents the Game Over is agreeing to become Zetoo's girlfriend (in appearances only), the status that comes with protects you from the kidnapping.

Thank you both. The region change fixed it.
 
New update: There won't be a demo this month because he apparently is adding alot of stuff but it should be early next month. They said they will release an animation so backers don't feel like they were jipped.

This was discussed several posts before the whole vn argument. Talk to the guy who saved you tell him about Laki or whatever his name is and refuse his offer. Go to sleep it may take one or two nights depending if you had the locks changed. Then youll get the scene. You can have the scene be clothe or nude depending on if you make her sleep naked or not.
 
Anyone having problems with the combat rape? Only with the Testers and Stalkers (the simulation enemies and the monsters in the tunnels), doesn't happen with the thugs. Where after penetrating Rena they just stop. No animation plays, I can't resist or anything and the game essentially soft locks, and I'm forced to either quit to menu or give up if my health is 0. With Stalkers it only happens when Rena is on the ground, the standing rape works fine.

At first I thought I screwed something up with translating the files that broke something, but I tried with a clean version of the game and it still happens.

Could be another decimal symbol bug maybe?
Is your system set to use 1,000.00 or 1.000,00?
 
Does anyone know how the new "update" works? It is called "bad end". Do I have to copy the files in to the game? I don't get it XD

It's just a video basically you just open it in it's own folder.
