Unfortunately, the Growlithe manages to get a bite in against Kitty, throwing the scratching off its mark.

Luckily, this time Kitty managed to catch the Growlithe on the nose, stopping it from biting.

It seems that the previous exchange may have enraged the Growlithe somewhat, as its bite come in a bit faster this time, injuring Kitty for a second time.

Kitty manages to scratch the Growlithe on the nose again. In the exact same place. This causes the Growlithe to jump back.

Walking into route 7, Alex walks in the direction of Celadon, not caring who or what gets in his way.

Something unusual would catch his attention, though. The head of the work team that was working on clearing the entrance of the underground path leading to Route 8 was conversing with, and clearly deferring to, a young man that seemed to be about the same age as Alex. Aside from him wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, hood up, the young man's dark brown jacket had an armband displaying the logo of the volunteer work groups. All of the work teams had patches with this logo. A Mightyena was standing next to the young man, and looked towards Alex, sniffing.
