Remember the excellent Maken-shi Sara? Well, this is another game by the same dev, set in the same universe.
While the game has been in development for a while, with steady and reliable updates, the best rundown is probably from — public demo has been released early December, and there's a longer demo for paid subscribers.
Last update 2024-12-10. Original thread in spoiler below.

Story
Demon loli wants to sex other demon loli, swears it's about mana-draining
We know the game takes place after Sara, but it's meant to be stand-alone, so Sara and other characters from the game barely appear.
Except, of course, for our new protagonist, Amy — who we knew as Sara's bat familiar in the previous game, and who is a highest-tier demon, with exceptional magic power.
Amy's currently getting used to her purple-pigtailed human form — a form we also saw in Maken-shi Sara (exposing her panties and getting molested with a magic wand vibrator by third dungeon boss, mostly).
What's the problem, then, aside from the apparently insurmountable difficulty of navigating human clothing in a way that doesn't show her panties to everyone, all the time? Well, the problem is another demon girl, the red-headed Saki, really wants to steal all that amazing magic power that Amy has, and also molest her in various ways. So she traps her in a dungeon, also trapping a lot of innocent people that she can use as leverage against Amy.
And, since Amy is a badass that would bulldoze her minions if Saki used a conventional dungeon like the ones that usually challenged Sara, Saki keeps hidden, and has built her dungeon to capitalize on Amy's weak point: the sensitivity of her still-new human body. Hence, this dungeon is filled with erotic traps and sexual-molesting monsters. All in good fun, though — Saki won't let her minions rape Amy, her chastity belongs to her.
Will Amy manage to preserve escape the dungeon, and free the innocent people caught by Saki, or will Saki make a toy of her?

Gameplay

Gameplay does not take so much from Sara but more more from Kushimoto House's other works (Lili's drain dungeon, Mirai Escape or their free Sara side game). So, while the game uses RPG maker, it doesn't have actual RPG battles — instead, you must escape from pursuers, and if they catch you get perved on.
Like in Lili's Drain Dungeon, Amy is not helpless against her pursuers, but can attack them on the map, investing some mana, and show her pursuers the powerful demon vs. helpless goon situation, before they reach her and turn it into a perverted goon vs. helpless loli situation.
As dev said, though, game is more exploration-based than something like Lili. You don't just have to evade goons, but also explore, find keys and shortcuts, and even do mini-games — the first level being a game center. There's also plenty of objects that will give you a lewd CG and a bonus, or a lewd CG and a malus. Mostly, actually, bonuses.
You also apparently have a mini-game to escape after a game over. Escape from Saki's bedroom, specifically — I mean, from the premise I thought Saki was after your mana to become a stronger demon at your expense, but nope, she wants to fuck you.
Amy has an orgasm bar made of hearts, and her mana meter. If her orgasm bar is full, she loses mana, if she orgasms while out of mana she's sent back to a checkpoint. You can replenish your mana by sleeping or doing other stuff, but what you stand to permanently lose is your maximum mana — which gets decreased if you get caught by Saki, degrading you from highest-tier demon to lower tiers as Saki drains your power.
It's still unclear how it works, how permanent it is and how it affects endings etc — dev's comments seem to imply he's still deciding on some stuff — but in the demo reversing it is trivial, which is good since it's mandatory to get caught.

Ecchi
If the little girl's costant panty shots make you uncomfortable don't worry, I'm sure she loses the panties eventually
Seems to feature the same type of content as Sara -- so, softcore, no penetration, mostly stripping and perving. It does feature energy drain (I explicitly asked), but but the scenes I've seen so far are perving with a side of energy drains (and Saki's drains are on black screens). There are to be cut-ins, but also full-screen CGs.
There's also a supposed stripping mechanic, but in the demo it looks sorta half-baked — one goon tried to take off my panties, sometimes Amy lost her hoodie for a lewd scene and then regained it immediately afterwards.
This game retains Sara's perversion system, where Amy will eventually get more sensible in places where she's molested. I haven't seen it have much impact, which is kinda expected since most molestation is completely unavoidable.
So far, 90% of the stuff is perverts groping and panty shots — we see tentacles on the cover, surely there was no lack of them in Sara, but we must mostly speculate about the content. We do know the game should have more yuri, because we got a glimpse of a scantly-clad and not-quite-willing Amy getting french-kissed by Saki in what the dev promises is one of many game over scenes.


So, Kushimoto House is working on a sequel to Maken-shi Sara. The protagonist, Amy, is Sara's bat familiar (who we already saw in human form and getting molested in Sara).

Development is actively ongoing, for now there's no release date but it's reasonably far along, and reasonably frequently updated.

I liked Sara and often come back to it every once in a while, so it'll be nice to see a sequel/prequel.
 
Damn, great art to go with the mesugaki but I can't relate to the edging, heavily masochistic in the vanilla sort of manner that is softcore teasing erotica. It's like people that used to watch B movies for nudity and gravure shots never graduated from that... What a shame, this H game has a nice premise too.

I never posted about the regularly-posted updates the dev makes, but this one is different.

For one, he says he hopes to have a demo out in November.
Game apparently has a demo for paid supporters, but he said he'll have a public one for the DLSite people, and he seems to be referring to that. Let's hope and if I misunderstood you can tell me I'm a moron later.

Other interesting thing he posted, which I hadn't seen yet but maybe I'm a complete cretin and I missed it, is a full outline of the game. So now we have a lot more detail, know what gameplay, plot, etc. is — so we'd have a ton to discuss, but I'm not going to do it here. Because I did it already. In the OP. Which I rewrote completely. So go check if you're afraid you might've missed stuff too.

One thing I do want to dig deeper into is the newly-revealed MP mechanic.
I've always been fascinated by the issue of stakes in this sort of game. On one hand, you want the ecchi to be survivable/low stakes, so the heroine can get molested and get back on their feet and you can have all sort of mechanics like perversion/sensitivity increases etc. — on the other, it's kind of lame that the heroine is never in any real danger, so it would be better if the stakes are serious.
Going by the video in this last update, this game, if I understand correctly, has an interesting solution: Amy will survive any stuff she goes through and get an opportunity to escape or get thrown back to the last checkpoint, but your maximum MP will decrease as the villainess Saki drains your power when you get defeated or she otherwise catches you, and Amy will get deranked from big shot demon to progressively shittier demons. Depending on how this is implemented, this could be interesting!

I see this argument all the time. Although, never quite as eloquently put, you're poet!

I don't agree, though.
Excellent point if you're talking about Twitch boob streamers or Instagram accounts of Onlyfans models, and still a valid point here if you're just expressing your preference. But I think, in general, it's far more nuanced for hentai games, where the value is less about how nice the boobs are drawn and more about how well they tickle the audience's fetishes. Heck, remember hentai games are a sub-sub category of hentai in general, the mere fact that we prefer playing instead of watching is part of the experience/fetish for most people.
And fetishes are fairly complicated, so softcore teasing can be part of the value, and isn't necessarily a lesser experience.
For example, as I mention here, I'm pretty sure I've read in a thread that the majority of people identify with the heroine in RoR games (as in: fantasize being a girl and getting raped, instead of being a monster and raping the girl). Which makes sense, since imaging yourself as a rapist can be off-putting for people — I can definitely see some people enjoying a game like this and preferring Amy not get dicked, whether it's because it's easier for them to identify with the molester than with a rapist, or imaging themselves as the little girl and not get raped all the way, or just preferring the heroine stay partially "pure" so next h-scene hits harder.
Kushimoto house, especially, likes riding these sort of line, and trying to "stay vague" to cater to more fetishes, and leave the viewer to fill the blanks. Hence why so many of their games have vague or cartoonish monster designs, so you can decide your stakes, I even think their switch to loli characters after Lili's drain dungeon is due to the fact they can be more gender-ambiguous and shotacons can enjoy them (see the androgynous protagonist in Mirai Escape, which was a shit game but that's another topic).
Up to personal taste! Not trying to demean yours. Heck, I certainly wouldn't mind penetration in game overs.

It's a much simpler calculus for me. If you are after something vanilla but explicit, then you can either, you know, have sex or watch porn. That content is not hard to find, and if that's what you like, there's enough out there that you're probably set for life even if it's just via media.

But for more niche fetishes like tentacles and energy drain, stuff that's not necessarily attached to sex itself, there's only so much method acting a person can do. Otherwise, for more contextual things like NTR or voyeurism, you're playing with fire, and the fire is the law. This is where more creative media like hentai games can shine, because they're really good at capturing (or at least, being able to capture, not all succeed) the sense of these less vanilla situations.

Honestly, and this is just me speaking personally: unless the character writing is really good, vanilla sex in a game is kind of...boring. Even for penetration in general, there's only so many ways you can portray it at a certain point, and I've definitely reached the point where stuff has started to feel really samey.

I'll somewhat agree that I think Mirai Escape was maybe a bit too soft with its fetishes, but Makenshi Sara is a game I like a lot.

The bad news is I can't link it.
The good news is I can't link it because it's got some pretty lewd art — in case you were wondering, the flashback Sara appears in apparently involves her and Amy bathing together, so double naked loli, I'd get banned twice.

The bad news is that the demo isn't coming out in November.
The good news is it's, hopefully, coming out first week of December. What comes out in November is a paid demo, on Ci-En and Fantia. If I understood correctly (because Japanese is fucked), public demo will stop before chapter one (meaning it's the introduction chapter, I assume), while the public demo will continue to the end of chapter one, and be updated as development progresses.

Finally, again, the bad news is I can't post that Sara/Amy bath image, which is a pity because I don't know what's going on but their expressions are priceless, Sara looks smug and condescending as fuck for some reason.
But the good news he did post some non-naked Sara images on Twitter. I like how they showcase his art improvements.

To each their own concerning Mirai escape, I just found it confusing. I suspect it was originally designed as a shota game, the girl version to recycle the art just doesn't seem to be aware that the character is female.
Sara is fucking amazing. Still manages to be hot where it doesn't tickle my fetishes, hits it out of the park where it does. The art being a major factor, he's pretty good at expressions, and he seems to be getting better.

Sadly, I can't share it here due to ULMF's loli rules. It's unfortunate, I mean even on F95 (where there is no such rule) there is no thread for Demon Heart, and all related to it so far is in the Sara thread. Wink.

Edit: Slightly updated my impressions after finishing the demo.

Game is generally good
Demo, at least the paid one, is reasonably big. It took me 90 minutes to finish, (there are side corridors where you can't really see the door).
Also, it's packed with content. Nearly every interactions has CGs, and game doesn't beat around the bush and starts showing them to you right away. Long intro? No, the intro is that Amy is playing Dance Dance Revolution and obliviously giving everyone in the arcade (and us) panty shots. Then she goes to bathroom to pee (guess where the camera is, you have one guess). Then straight to the secret dungeon. You're in a room with an NPC, talk to him and you get a panty shot. Think you get the gist.
Exploration isn't perfect, but I like some things. Exploring stuff isn't a guess-where-the-trap-is thing, often it's neutral or even positive (and you get repeatable CGs even for, say, repeatable events that heal you). There's minigames for some variations, since the demo is literally a game center.
There's a lot of polish in some things. Amy doesn't start undeveloped, but with the experience from the previous game when the boss kidnapped her. Game also establishes early that Amy's magic power regeneration is a personal power (justifying why another demon would want to drain her), and that Saki's power is that she can become undetectable, justifying how she can sneak up on Amy to such an hilarious extent.
Speaking of hilarious.

Game is funny
Another surprise is that the game is… actually pretty funny! Dialogue seems to be written simple, so MTool's bing translation works like a charm.
Tone is much less sinister than the premise suggests and I hypothesized. Saki is much less "scheming overlord trying to steal amy's power" and much more "lecherous pervert willing to do anything to get in Amy's panties". Amy and Saki have some friendly banter, and Saki even helps Amy through some puzzles for an opportunity to lewd her.
Amy's probably the most hilarious element of all, because on one hand she's depicted as incredibly powerful, and constantly shows resourcefulness and cunning to match (the whole reason the game has near-zero stakes is because she figures out stuff about the dungeon) — then, on the other hand, she has zero clue about anything sex and gets lewded by everything and everyone because they just have to say "I gotta put an hand inside your panties for reasons" and she can't figure out why that would be a problem.

Game is… hopefully still baking
I do see some potential issues.
In case the three billion references to "panty shots" didn't clue you in, the game might have a ton of scenes/situations but doesn't have much variety.
Sara had a ton of different monsters and scenes. I mostly loved it for a few specific scenes matching my fetish, and I'm sure a ton of people loved it for other scenes matching theirs — Amy doesn't really hit all those notes. I mean, I got kiss-drained by Saki 3 times in the game, and only one of those scenes had a CG, why did the others fade to black? Why not give energy drain and yuri fans some content?
I hope there's some variation in future interactions.
Also, difficulty is basically absent. Amy recovers lewd meter just standing still, and mana at resting rooms and some other interactions. The whole "reduce maximum mana and get demoted to lesser demon" mechanic is also temporary, since Amy can recover that too. That's not a problem by itself, let's see how it's implemented.
Most of the game is not very "gamey". It's one of those "you have to get lewded to pass this obstacle, despite the game having established that you have an ultra-powerful fire spell that would incinerate it in an instant" kind of games. Got forced in a lewd scene several times to progress, and it's not ideal — felt like I had "lost", even though Amy had done everything right. Your mileage may vary.
Stripping seems also half-baked. How it works right now is that Amy gets temporarily stripped if she faces enemies whose animation requires her to be stripped, then is just dressed again right away.
Progress is also rather simple, escaping enemies is easy, only difficulty is figuring out where the game wants you to go, which isn't exactly a pleasant challenge. As I said, what got me struck was figuring out that some walls were actually meant to be corridors.

Game is progressing steadily. Dev is working on chapter 2.
This one will take place on a beach.

Dev says they're doing the next chapter, then flashing out some CGs, so on. So as he progresses he's also going to add features.
He's worked on the costume change system here. So you can now use changing booths to put Amy in a tank top (removing her hoodie), and in the classic school swimsuit.
Can't show the video, because this guy got super into loli after Lili's Drain Dungeon and the ULMF mods would be heartbroken if they had to ban me again. But here are some pics from the Ci-En.


In today's Ci-En post, we also got some more Sara. Always glad to see her, she looks awesome in the new art style!
