Ha ha, seriously! XD I like that I can use kilometers, celsius etc. without being "o_O"d at.

...though I think people are giving Canadians too much credit for acclimating to cooler temperatures. Everyone I know cries like a sissy if it drops below room temperature. "What is this, rain/cooler temperatures/cloudy skies/not perfect conditions?! I thought this was summer!" *proceed towards baww* I'm pretty sure that I'm the only person I know who prefers it cooler and gets out of sorts if it's warmer than 26 celsius for extended periods of time.

ANYways, back to re-railing the thread, I can't wait to read through all of the posts you guys have got in your prologues. :D There are some great characters here who I'm looking forward to following. Great writing, dudes and dudettes! Great leading, Shrike!

Okay, the webcomic I read just posted this and somehow, I felt it appropriate to earlier topics. (Even if Clara doesn't exactly qualify...)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Ha that was funny, but pretty much true from what I've seen of MMA. I also checked with a coworker who does it professionally, and I have a list of all the most common fouls if it will help at all.

Headbutting.
Eye gouging.
Hair pulling.
Biting.
Fish-hooking.
Attacking the groin.
Strikes to the back of the head and spinal area.
Strikes to, or grabs of the trachea.
Small joint manipulation (control of three or more fingers/toes is necessary).
Intentionally throwing your opponent out of the ring/cage.
Running out of the ring/cage.
Purposely holding the ring ropes or cage fence.
Grabbing or putting a hand inside the trunks or gloves of the opponent.

The kilometers and celsius don't bother me at all since we use them for the military instead of miles and farhenheit. I must be cold-blooded though because I'm always cold and wearing a coat till it gets above 30, and so is my character.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Rofl I forgot to mention all that...

I just thought it was self explanatory lol.

The only one I really had a question on was headbutting but since I never saw anyone do it well I was like you can't do that then.

That's helpful Ronny, thanks. And I am like the only woman who isn't cold blooded, i can wander around in shorts and a t shirt in anything above 15 and be fine.

I honestly feel that metric is the better system, because everything is unified and simple, there arent multiple names and conversions you have to go through. Everything is based of 10s, and is that much easier for it :)

That's why we use it in the military, that and most of our allies use it as well so it's easier to coordinate.

When I say anything goes I should really think about what I'm saying...

Oh well thanks Ronny lol

First, I can't say on the woman topic, but I know I can be in shorts and sandals when there's snow on the ground.

Also, Fahrenheit beats Celsius in one aspect: Fahrenheit is based of of the interior temperature of the ass of a healthy (Either cow or horse, I can't remember).

That's why it's such an ass-backwards way of doing it! :p

Most, Ronny? I seriously thought the US was the only country left that used Imperial, I'm surprised.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Well when I said most I meant all we are the only ones to still use the English system as we call it which makes little sense. Since a. the English don't use it and b. it's retarded.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Am I correct in guessing that Rashar got turned into a nosferatu?

Also, I noticed 'scurry' in the description for them. 'Scurry' is such a fun word for moving about. Scurry, scurry, scurry. I must hurry and scurry so that I can get my curry.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Personally, I blame society. Yours of course. not saying anything against the actually intelligent americans I have met (You guys included), but the vast majority of your country seems to resist change for the hell of it, with no logic whatsoever. But I digress...

So, any bets on who's getting nom'd next? :3

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Ah, but that's because we have rednecks and hillbillies in such quantities that we can export more of them than Japan can export tentacles. They aren't as cute as tentacles, though, nor do they make as good of pets....

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

It's either gonna be me or Tsuki. We're the only two left that are just about there. Sin's gotta meet the vamps yet.

And yes, Phe. Rashar is now a Nosferatu. Poor bastard. I wonder if he'll make Eve scream. Definitely going to be in "don't stare, don't stare" mode as far as Izzy's concerned.
