The reason why it's screwed up other bits of code is probably because this is KiriKiri; some roman characters are used as control codes, so translating to English can be quite fraught (hence why this is one of my targets to expand RPGMaker Trans to; it'd be nice to have all that stuff automatically sorted).

And hooray in general, because this is the first time to my knowledge that they've set a specific date for release, rather than general "around X". Sort of have my hopes up.

well poop. so is this a viable way to translate the full game or am i gonna be breaking everything?

would hate to translate a bunch of stuff only to have the game explode when you use a specific attack on a certain enemy or something crazy like that. >.<

I've seen a translation for a Kirikiri game which modified the control characters to Greek letters, but that's a bit problematic for non-programmers as it would require processing of all dialogue to use the new control characters. If I ever add Kirikiri to RPGMaker Trans, that's the approach I'll be using, but that could be a long time coming.

EDIT: Alternatively, I think using all-caps should work. I can't check this now, but I seem to recall all the control characters being lower case. Hence all-caps should avoid the problem.

I think if you seriously bork something the game will fail to start with an error showing the specific file, so you don't have to worry about breaking things later in the game. I know this because I pushed backspace one too many times without realizing for the first game. Although those were just .scn files, so it could be different for .ks files.

It's a shame that this game seems quite interesting to play but at the same time it seems that it is never going to be ended.

I particularly liked games like kichikuou rance or sengoku rance because of the strategy point of view. The more detailed it is, the better for me .

It's a shame that this game seems quite interesting to play but at the same time it seems that it is never going to be ended.

I particularly liked games like kichikuou rance or sengoku rance because of the strategy point of view. The more detailed it is, the better for me .

The first game was fun even without the H-content. This will probably be the same. The map system is kind of like Civilization but the leveling and combat are more JRPG-esque.

I may be missing some context, but I think it's basically saying they're finishing up balancing the game for one of the difficulties (or perhaps target grades - the "Gold Rank" that was mentioned), and after this they need to finish the other ranks and the ero parameters. If that sounds like a lot, they also say things are going well and there should be a proper update soon, rather than just an addendum to the blog.

That's great. I'm torn between wanting to see some new CG since it's been ages but..must..not...spoil.

my nuts have held off long enough. i'm going straight for the CG. i need to know all the goodies that are possible in the game.

it does help with playthrough too.

for instance, if i don't see a character rape or pregnant cg, i won't waste time trying to let the enemies/king capture her. since there is no cg reward for it.

It's like that old programming adage: Fix one error, ten more pops up.

I wonder though, did they bite off more than they can chew? I mean, at its core, it's still the same gameplay as their earlier games, so I guess all the new features are jumbling up their coding.
