ACT [Mille feuille] 極煌戦姫ミストルティア ベルトスクロールアクション / BlazingAngel Mistletear (RJ171858)

is the problem solved when you go into full screen mode? cause some do have problem into black screen but only when it goes window mode

No, same problem and all

Compatibility mode will do nothing to address the problems that are caused by trying to run an old game on a win10+ OS as the issue lies in the .dll architecture which compatibility mode doesn't/can't alter.

Damn :( maybe I should try reinstall if I can find the game again (not a link begging) later

That wouldn't help. The issue is that the game is calling on your OS' .dlls to perform functions and the way those .dlls do those functions has changed, not only the process but even the commands to execute the process in some cases. The best analogy I can come up with is that the game is using a manual for a washing machine made in 2000 to try to operate a washing machine made in 2020.

The solutions that would work are running a virtual machine with a compatible OS installed on it through your current OS or installing a compatible OS on a different hard drive and booting that up instead of your main drive ( I do not suggest dual boot as I've run into the problem where each OS will fuck with the other's drive and make the other OS inoperable ). If you're a programmer you could possibly re-write the game to be compatible with new OS' too, but I'll go out on a limb and guess that's not the case as we're having this conversation ( not throwing shade, I'm no programmer either I just had a similar problem and dug around the net to find out why and how to fix it).

I know it's possible to run it on a modern Windows 11 machine, because that's what I'm running, and I haven't had any problems. I unfortunately can't say how I did it, because it was several years ago that I set up this machine, and I have no recollection of the process. I don't think I really needed to do much, but it might just be using things I had already done to get other older games set up.

Yeah, I tried and it doesn't work u_u

Too much work of setting up virtual thingy, and I'm kind of miss Mistletear too, I guess I'll just wait the sequel while I pleasantly do Chocola instead...

That sounds wrong.

Hopefully you can remember it!
