Okay, so I've got it up and running, but I have yet to verify if I got the IP correct or if I got everything going properly, so if a few people could try and connect, that'd be helpful.

Also of note is I had to disable OpenComputers and OpenComponents to get it to even connect on a client level.


EDIT: Well, there's a problem with my router and my ISP being a dick. Looks like the server ain't going up anytime soon.

Once I get my PC repaired (again) I'll see about trialling a server on my computer. Gotta see how much electric having my computer on 24/7 uses because if it goes through a lot of power then it'll probably only be on when My PC is on.

Okay, after much failure to get a server set up yesterday I've finally managed to do it today by turning online verification off in the server properties. Not sure if that'll cause us any problems down the line (if we even last that long), but at least we have a working server for now.

Of course, I don't know if anyone else can get on because Burr's offline so I can't ask him to test the connection. So if anyone wants to help me find out if it works here's the IP; 81.156.115.237

I'll be following Burr's idea with the item packs, so just let me know which items you want when you log in.

Server's going online now, and if there's anyone interested and can get on I'll probably keep it going all night. I'll be on shortly, so if people want the starter packs I'll give them when I do get on. Anyway, IP is; 81.156.115.237

Yeah, I think I know what's the problem as well. The ports are unlocked, but I don't think all of it is linked to my PC since it was reformatted. And for some reason ipconfig isn't recognised in the command prompt, so I'm going to have to see how to get that fixed or take it in to be fixed by someone else.
