More survivors?

Re: More survivors?

Azure playfully stepped behind Rosemary, putting her hands squarely on the other girl's back and giving her a playful push into the room.

"You're not gonna stop that until I tie you down and ride you like a rodeo bull, are you?"

She teasingly whispered into the girl's ear, rubbing herself into Rosemary's back as she guided the two of them into the room. Once inside, she immediately looked around again, hoping to find the woman in charge so they could talk.

Re: More survivors?

Rosemary cursed at Azure as she was pushed in, until they came into what appeared to be a fancy office.

Many paintings were hanging on the wall, most of them were strange shapes that could not be identified with anything else Azure could remember. They all seemed done by hand, and their artist was sitting on a stool, carefully gracing her tiny brush along the big canvas in front of her.

From the back, the woman was wearing a blue dress, with similar shapes to that of the paintings on it made with golden colored yarn. The dress clung to her, revealing her beautiful figure as she graced over the painting. She also had very long, black hair that went past her waist, and Azure soon found that the woman was sporting beautiful green eyes as she turned to her.

Turning her head back at her two guests, she greeted them with a smile, "Why, Rosemary!" she greeted in surprise, "Who's your cute new friend?"

Rosemary shook her head, "She's not my-"

Emilia interrupted her, "She's cute, to!" she said with a giggle as she raised herself from her seat, approaching Azure with intent, grabbing at her cheeks and giggling at the feeling, "Her skin is soft! Oh my god! She's absolutely adorable!" she said with a childish grin on her face as she stretched Azure's cheeks.

Re: More survivors?

River watched as Azure and Rosemary wandered off before turning to Regina.

"So..." She said slowly, shifting around a bit.

Re: More survivors?

Regina smiled, glancing over at River, "She came to see Emilia, and join up with us," she looked at River with interest, "Why are you here?" she asked in a curious tone.

Re: More survivors?

River just shrugged.

"I'm not really sure myself. So far, every group I've gone out with I've been the protector, I just couldn't wander off and leave them."

Re: More survivors?

Regina smiled, head shifting down for a second, then quickly returning up, "Yup, right off the bat, I knew you were the toughest one." she laughed, gesturing with her hand for River to follow her, "Come on, are ya hungry? Thirsty? We've got some good stuff here, lotsa perishables that taste great! I imagine they don't serve good food at the Inn, what say I treat you to a nice meal?" she offered.

"I wouldn't say that, everyone does their part, I'm just the one most used to running around a dangerous environment, I guess." River says, smiling a little. "As for food, the stuff at Apple Inn was pretty good, but it was starting to get a little repetitive. Lead the way."

Re: More survivors?

As Regina happily led the way to the mess hall, Regina asked River her preferred food before they were even half way, "So, what do ya like to eat? You like fruits? Vegetables? Meat? We've got it all. If a grocery store had it, we've got it." she assured River.

"Pretty much anything, though i try to eat high-calorie stuff usually, I burn it all off pretty fast. Haven't had the chance to as much lately though, so whatever's easy."

Re: More survivors?

Regina nods, "That's great! I think Eliza is making soup today, and I can assure you, anything she makes, tastes like it was from heaven." she states, almost as if to herself as she leads River through the yard, passing by all of the couples going about, some gathered together in the grass, others were just walking around, holding hands. But, the thing that stuck to River's mind, is that they were all women.

(Notice check)

River couldn't believe she didn't think of it earlier, she suddenly pieced many things together, and realized that Regina was interested in her, sexually!

The glances, and the smiles, those weren't just friendly, River had gotten looks like that before from other women, there was no mistaking it.

Regina adjusted herself as she walked next to River, "Hey, don't you think this place is nice? Isn't it tempting to stay here, and just relax in safety? The creature comforts soothing every woe you have?" she asked expectantly of River.

Re: More survivors?

This sudden revelation caused River's level of comfort to drop right back to where it started. She chuckled a little, trying to hide her discomfort. Regina was cute, and she was kind of curious, but she didn't really know her at all. Hell, She had barely known Lin that time at the base, and she had really only offered it as a distraction!

"I'm actually not one for rest and relaxation. Last time I spent more than a day away from work I had a fractured femur and a mild concussion, and I was back at it with a splint on my leg after just two days."

Re: More survivors?

Regina shrugged, "Aw, come on now, everyone has to rest sometime, you can't keep running from these monsters forever, no matter how tough you are." she said, the scent of food slightly entering River's hostiles, the wonderful fumes instantly made her very hungry.

Re: More survivors?

River opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a growling from her stomach. She chuckled a little before continuing again.

"Guess I am pretty hungry, we're nearing the kitchens, right? And you'd be surprised, I can Run a lot longer than you may think. I do take my rest when I can get it, but it's the break, not the reward, if that makes any sense."

Re: More survivors?

Regina nodded, "Ha, ha!" she laughed, "You haven't even tried her cooking yet, and you can't wait either! Don't worry, we're already there." she says, coming up to a pair of double doors, and opening one for River, "Come on in!" she offered.

The view inside was amazing, there were plenty of people outside, but there was an army in here, the delicious fumes filled the hall, as the line was still quite long for people who wanted some food, but seemed to be moving quickly enough.

Re: More survivors?

River looked around dumbfounded as Regina led her to the back of the line, which was moving at almost a slow walk.

"There's... A lot of people here. It's amazing they all came here instead of the Inn, where there was that emergency broadcast..."

Re: More survivors?

Regina seemed to be having great difficulty stifling a burst of laughter, wrapped her arm around River's shoulders, she was hysterical, "River, sweetie," she said between breathes, "You're looking at them! Women that heard the broadcast, but didn't make it! We saved them!" she claimed, still chuckling at River's question, as if it was the silliest thing in the world to ask.

Re: More survivors?

River tensed under the embrace, at least in her mind knowing why she was trying to be so friendly. She smiles uncomfortably but doesn't try to dislodge her or anything.

"Oh yeah, I'm just not much of a people person, I didn't think it would be so crowded in here. How many people do you think are in here?"

Re: More survivors?

Still holding River, Regina brought her other hand up, wavering it back and forth as it on a balance scale, "Eh... fifty, sixty people, give or take." she stated, her arms still clearly evident over River's shoulders.

Sooner than River had thought, their place in line was next, and Regina let go of River to get bowls for both of them, filling them heartily as Regina handed a bowl to River, leading her to a free seat, and sitting down on the opposite side of the table.

"So... River," she began to ask, only mixing her soup before even taking a drink or bite from it, "I have to ask, and I think you know why I'm asking..." her eyes looked up to River's, "Do you like other women?" she asks bluntly, taking a sip of her soup.

Re: More survivors?

River was just taking her first spoonful of soup, and almost sprayed it back out when Regina asked her question. She coughed and beat her chest for a moment before answering.

"That's a bit of a loaded question, don't you think?" She asks, trying to stall her answer.

Re: More survivors?

Regina adjusted herself in her seat, "Well, I've never been one to play with words, so I thought, since there's already no doubt that I like you, that I'd be honest with you." she confessed to River, "I'm not expecting you to say anything, all I wanted was to get it off my chest as soon as possible." she stops for a second, turning around to spot a whole assortment of women spying in on the conversation,

"What the hell are you lookin' at!?!" she yells at the large group of girls, who all give a start as Regina yells at them, getting back to eating their food.

"River," she continued, "I'm laying my cards on the table, is there any chance for you and me?" she asks, blinking expectantly at her.
