What kind of things gave you nightmare fuel? Like, what scared you a in your life? Something had to fill you with horror and dread that it's enough to give someone nightmares.

(No accounts based on real injuries or losses please.)

hate to ignore the rule, but when I rolled my car that's nightmare fuel for the rest of my life.

^ This, after the accident I was in, I won't ride with anyone else. If I'm going somewhere I have to be driving.

since I was the only one in the accident I hate driving. I usually get Ben to drive anywhere. I still don't trust myself all that much. -shudder-

Re: Nightmare Fuel Moments!

Being back in school with people ganging up on me. In these dreams it doesn't matter how much better I may have become as a human being in the meantime, I am never good enough.

This is the only nightmare I have.

Re: Nightmare Fuel Moments!

My NF moment was when I was little. We had an old house that had mice and rats. I was asleep on the couch at the time when I heard my giga pet barking in the dark in the middle of the night. Since its barks were electronic on a small gizmo, it sounded really.... off. So I didn't know it was my giga pet.

I woke up, trying to look for the source of the sound, HOPING it wasn't a rat that would bite me or anything. It kept going "AA AA. AA. AA AA. A." I looked around every creepy corner of the house until I realized.... it was my damn giga pet on the kitchen table.

It freaking scared me.

Re: Nightmare Fuel Moments!

Oh wait. I think I did it wrong. It's more about the actual situation than the nightmare, right?

Re: Nightmare Fuel Moments!

Actually any nightmare fuel in your life counts, even dreams.

Cthulhu, classic nightmare fuel.

As for me: looking into a mirror in the dark. Can't stand the idea of something being behind me. And to make matters worse, My house is full of them and I move around alot at night. Never really had many nightmares, though. If I do it usaully has some adventury rpg-y thing goin' for it. So I've usually got some way to deal with it. Like swords and hit-points.

When I was about seven I was sitting on the floor of my bedroom reading a book... looked behind me to see a HUGE DAMNED SPIDER. It was probably just a harmless little dude, but that spider scared the bejesus out of me... been scared of the little bastards ever since. Still, I've learned to be less afraid nowadays. I just have to remember that few are lethal and most are squishy when stepped on.

However remember that they're all out to get you.

Did anyone else ever read about how humans swallow spiders in their sleep?

Re: Nightmare Fuel Moments!

I remember playing a prank on my mom when she was sleeping in bed. I put a medium-sized spider under a glass, held it next to her and woke her up.
Her reaction however surprised me: She didn't scream or something like that. Her eyes just got really big and out of reflex she hid under the sheets.
Funny as hell.

Spiders aren't so bad, they're our little prankster friends!

Re: Nightmare Fuel Moments!

When i was young, i used to dream about alien worm-men who imprisoned men and women, then harvested them for their fluids. sound familiar?

The first Hentai clip i ever saw was from Urotsukidoji, the scene early on when the teacher transforms into a tentacle monster and rapes the female student, from that moment, i was hooked.

My appetite for the genre grew, Tentacles and Girls, Fluids and Eggs, Hatred and Love, Terror and Ecstasy, i couldn't get enough, i still cant. I grew so infatuated with the genre that i created my own universe, with characters and tribes, different attributes and personalities, all forcing the girls they encountered into bondage for purposes of nutrition, procreation and sexual gratification.

Today i have 3.5 Cyoas full of tentacle concepts and i am always looking for more ways to expand the genre in my own way.

You'd be hard pressed to find a nerdier more perverted fuck than i.

Re: Nightmare Fuel Moments!

my dad bought a desert tarantula as a pet. then he put it in a new cage in our cupboard but left the old cage door open and left for a few hours. think i searched for about 3 hours before he got back..... still hate spiders.

Nightmare fuel moments?

Walking around in the dark. Can't help but feel paranoid about it.

Being confronted with violence... Yeah, I've had problems with being bullied.

Any kind of horror movie/game is nightmare fuel to me. Reminds me of the time I've watched Resident Evil 3 intro as a little kid. Dear god.

Ironically enough, being ran over by a car didn't affect me that much. Maybe because I didn't take any permanent damage, nothing a dentist couldn't fix at least.

Re: Nightmare Fuel Moments!

Mother of god, most well-done Creepypasta, and some horror events :S I don't take jumpscares and pretty much everything related to well-done horror...

Ironically enough, minus the creepypasta examples, videos related to horror-based games don't nearly freak me out, especially when it comes to the fact these are usually voiced by them jerkarse cynical brits.
