As Jin follows the young boy down into the town he see's him enter the tavern. Letting out a quiet sigh he too makes his way into the tavern.

"That's the man, he was the one snooping around by our supplies," The boy says to Kenneth as Jin walks into the tavern. "I say's he's with the military, but I bet he's one of those bandits."

"Now, now Mitch, there's no need to jump to those kinds of conclusions," Kenneth replies to the boy whilst ruffling his hair.

"It's alright sir, I am with the military," Jin flashes his watch at Kenneth as he walks up to the bar. It had grown completely dark now, and as Jin looks out the window he assumes the bandits won't be planning to attack tonight. "I apologise for looking around supply area but I was wondering whether I'd be able to climb up the water tower tomorrow to get a better view of the town?"

"Sure, Mitch here will take you there tomorrow," Kenneth says as he offers Jin a drink. Jin declines the drink and instead simply asks for the key to his room as today had taken it out of him. Ken hands him the key and bidding the man good night Jin retreats to his bedroom.

Miranda was chuckling again and she nodded, "Ah, the look on people's faces never gets old." She sported a smug smile, "But yes, that's why I spoke to you first, rather than approaching one of the others. Birds of a feather, and all that."

Cynthia laughed again shortly, saying "I can imagine, no such luck for me though. I don't know, but everyone else is going to bed, so we can't find out just what they're like until the morning. You never know, some of them might be like us, if only we can get them to open up a little?"

Miranda nodded, "We may not all be friends, but we at least have to be civil if this is going to work." then she smirked, "Keep the information about my gender a secret please. Like I said, people's reactions never get old."

Smiling, Cynthia gave Miranda a thumbs up. "Of course, your secret is safe with me, friend. Just make sure I'm around next time someone figures it out so I can see their face too!"

Miranda grinned widely and nodded, before she yawned and shook her head, "I think it's time for me to sleep..."

The bandits had not attacked during the night and so everyone had slept soundly, albeit slightly colder than back in Central. As the sun rose over the horizon and bathed everything in a soft orange glow fresh snow could be seen covering everything, evidently a blizzard had blown through the town whilst everyone slept and any trace of activity in the town had been covered up because of it.

Max rises out of bed with a yawn and sits up before the cold suddenly hits him and he quickly pulls the covers over him again.

"Goddamn, I forgot we were up North," He mutters to himself as he wraps the quilt aroung himself tightly. He lies there for a few minutes before finally getting up and quickly darting into the bathroom. Washing quickly he then gets changed back into his military uniform before making his way downstairs.

Jin tossed and turned in the bed as the sun started to rise. He covered his face with a pillow over his eyes trying to block out any light and at least get a few last minutes of rest. A few extra minutes past and he groaned as he pushed the pillow off of him. The cold air nipped at his face and made sure he already knew washing up was going to be the most annoying thing to do here.

He forced himself to get up and rushes for the bathroom. He took his time despite the cold. After he was done he dressed and walk out the bathroom still buttoning up to coat of the jacket of his military uniform as as he walked down the stairs.

"Good to see I'm not the only one awake." Jin said as he saw Max already downstairs.

"I wish I wasn't awake, it's too damn cold for the morning," Max grumbles as he pulls on a pair of gloves, making sure they weren't his alchemical gloves first. Max takes a seat at the bar and patiently waits for Kenneth to arrive so that he could order something warm for breakfast. "Looks like we may have a busy day ahead of us preparing for the bandits seeing as they didn't turn up last night."

Jonathan spent the evening after arriving in the inn by himself, thinking about the situation. There were certain ideas that occured to him during that time, and he needed to take a closer look at them. Now, after a refreshing night, Joules was still thinking, even in the bathroom as he washed and dressed himself. His usually smiling face now expressed no emotions. After putting on his uniform, Jonathan went downstairs, where he found Jin and Max. "Ah, good morning." Joules watched Jin for a moment, then let his gaze slide somewhere else. It seemed that he was asking himself a question... After a few moments, he apparently found the answer.

"Yeah look like we will have a lot of work a head." Jin said in response of the last comment. As Jin heard someone else coming down the stairs he turned from Max to see Jon was awake as well. Jin was confused as Jon gaze went from him to some where else.

"Something wrong Jonathan? Jin asked.

"Well..." Jonathan looked at Jin, wondering what words would fit the situation. In the end, he decided to be honest. "Jin, are you ok with being the leader? The position was kinda dumped on you. You really think you can do it?"

"If you want the job talk it Jon. Might hurt me life down the line but I decided take the job as no one else as the time wanted it." He said as he started to wonder why Jon was asking.

"Just so I'm clear... be as blunt as you can be with me. I like people better when they don't beat around the bush. He quickly followed up.

Jin started to wonder what giving up leadership of this team might do to him back in Central but did have to worry about the team more. Jon would mostly have and easier time with Jacob then he would.

Jacob wakes up surprisingly late, sitting up in bed and breathing in deep, then sighing, as if enjoying the cold air. He would then stand and throw on his army uniform, then head downstairs, a loud thumping from each step. On his way down, he had retrieved a cigarette from a pack kept in his left coat pocket, and was searching his person for his lighter the whole way down the stairs "Anyone have a light?" he asks as he looks over at the three alchemists

"Hmm..." Jonathan fell silent for a moment, observing Jin. Joules couldn't say that the current commander was bad, but he felt that he could do better. Of course, being the leader would be challenging, with people like Max and Jacob around, but the alchemist felt that he could do the job. Jonathan wasn't sure why he was so eager to be the leader, though. The idea was spontaneous, and he simply went with it without questioning why. He had to admit, ideas like that worked for him so far. Oh well. With so much being said already, there was no going back. "Ok, then. I'm interested in the job, as you've said. I think I can do really well."

"Sure, I'll see you in the morning." Cynthia said, following Miranda upstairs to go to their respective rooms.

Cynthia slept well, despite having already slept on the train, and in the morning, she rose quite late, enjoying the morning sun coming through her window as she washed and dressed into her uniform. She came walking down the stairs, stretching her gloved hands above her head as she reached the bottom. Yawning softly, she greeted the others with "Morning y'all, is there any food around? I'm needing some breakfast!"

"Alright boss..." Jin said in a joking manner. "Just know if you every want my help or backing... anything like that I'll always be willing to help. Think of me as the second in command if you want." He continued saying but said in a more serious manner then before.

"But you get to tell them." He said with a grin, glad someone wanted to take the job off his hands but he would still work to keep the group safe even if he was not the leader. He then turns to Jacob.

"Sorry... not a smoker so I don't carry matches or anything. Max might have something for you to use." He said nodding head over to Max.

As Cynthia came down the stairs, Jin moved to a seat at the counter. He nods as she speaks.

"I think we all need some. Eggs, bacon and some home fries would really hit the spot." He said in agreement with the female soldier.

Max watched the exchange between Jin and Jon with feigned interest, after all he didn't care who was in charge so long as it wasn't him and the person was competent.

"Here," Max said after looking around the room to make sure there was no villagers around. As he walked up to Jacob he took out one of his Ignition gloves and replaced his normal glove with it, and with a snap of his fingers a small flame lit up at the end of Jacob's cigarette, lighting it for the man. He then replaced his glove.

Shortly after Cynthia coming downstairs Kenneth comes in from the back of the building, most probably from his own living quarters. "Sorry 'bout the lateness, breakfast will be ready in a little while." Kenneth then walked into the kitchen and called out to what was most likely his chefs to get breakfast ready.

Miranda lurched down the stairs, rubbing her eyes. "Sorry, sorry..." she mumbled before yawning hugely. She was dressed in her uniform, but the bundle she carried strongly suggested heavier clothing.

"Thanks Jin." Jonathan replied with a smile. "I appreciate that." Joules did a little stretch and sat down at the counter, making himself comfortable. "Good morning." He greeted Miranda, noticing the fact that she wore heavy clothes. "Seems that more or less everyone's here..." Jonathan waited for people to gather for breakfast and start eating. Then, he'd tell them about his new position. He was pretty hungry himself.
