[Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Mine was using my UR exp card on Angie, ahahahahahahah. I thought it was an HR, maybe I need glasses.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

@nordland

i got 4 server errors today and none of them let me reconnect to the match. the last one i got just now that made me post this let me reconnect but only to end my turn and give me another error. which after i was not able to find my opopnent and given another loss. not sure if this is due to the latest maintenance or me just being unlucky today with servers.

edit: after taking my RP and rank points, it tried to search for the game i just mentioned and found this instead.

MVKIQA2.png

best part, for me to quit it. it took RP, rank points AND 1 CP... WHY is a non-existant game allowed to take away all that from me?

edit edit: got to 5th place. lets see how far i fall when i wake up. last night i also ended with 5 and woke up to 13th place. with higher points it means gaps are harder to close. i expect to fall last this time.

Well, lesson learned, I don't know how to count. Couldn't summon my trap like I thought I could because it costs 3 mana and I only had 2 left.

Rawr, would that have actually done anything? (I mean, everything's facedown, but I doubt your opponent would have refrained from attacking).

Finally got a good match in my favor, I whittled down my opponent to 296 (for some reason, I had an Emily just pecking away until turn 8 or so while I traded cards with my opponent). Faced down a beefed up Sylvie and some serious card advantage...drew two Jody's for the win. I think I'd probably have won anyway, since any slight mistake and my opponent would've lost. To his credit though, he played quite intelligently--I think most players in this tourney are fairly good at this game though.

Anyway, I can't find any prizes for ranking, so unless I'm perceiving this wrong, we're only getting prizes for individual competition points? I suppose that's a good thing for me (since I'm getting my ass whooped in this one), but I'm not sure this change is a good thing in general; it means there's not really any incentive to win/play stronger players, other than extra gacha points. Also, the Ex Nena prize (the top one) looks nigh impossible to attain by competition points alone.

200 points in 7 days...correct me if I'm wrong, but if one battle is one point and a normal battle takes about 5 minutes or so, then (200points x 5 min = 1000 min total) 1000min/7 days = 142 minutes a day. That's about 2+ hours a day of straight AS, contingent on whether you actually find anyone to play against (which may be a problem since some of us have jobs and the only time to play is late at night). :/

A chance to get them to remove the trap instead of just blindly attacking. Because for all they know, I could've had 2 face down Emily's and an EX invitation waiting for them.

A win is 2 points if it is past turn 4 or 5. Tournaments are really grindy though. You have to spend more time and play more games than almost everyone else to get a top spot.

To be fair, the prizes this time are a lot better for people who can't get top 10 or top 30. They give a lot more medals this time, and the ex card rewards are only really playable in a dark defensive mill themed deck. Players that want to build that deck can grind it out, as long as they can win like 20% of their games.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Bleh, todays randomizer reminds me of the worst MTG matches I ever played. Im at 3 4 today, two of those losses due to REALLY weird hands, first one Sylvie Anteret Victorie Anteret, Second one was 2x Anna a weaken and either dodge or PfB. And the draws didn't improve much.

Haha, I suppose so (though I'd expect a Banish far more likely than an EX, since it's slightly more common, which in that case your opponent would've attacked into it anyway, knowing he'd get the card back). Still, with (heavy, 8 in hand) card advantage and LP advantage, along with attack initiative for the next turn and 2 2000K cards (and a FD), the odds were probably against you there. And honestly, if I had 8 cards in hand with two coming for the draw, I'd care less about the cards on my field since they'd be easily replaceable at that point. But hey, it was your game.

I guess that does make me feel a bit better; the extra medals help, and the fact that knowing the EX cards aren't the best cards in the game does too, as does realizing that there's 2 medals to be had for longer games. Still though, I think AS should've kept in the rewards for the Top 100 or so. It's still a tourney--not having achievement rewards for a competition seems a bit odd.

Unless I'm missing something here, they still have the same rewards for rankings like the last tournament. They just beefed up the CP achievement rewards.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Correct, the rank rewards are the same. Last tournament we got like 100 medals for 200 CP. This time there are >1000 medals for CP. I think there are more upgrade materials too.

From what I saw of the EX cards during the Event, their stats were strong enough to make them playable on that basis alone.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

It's hard to reach that 200 point mark, when game freezes when you are winning and award you with -1 point. $@$£@€€"E

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

@nordland

i got 4 server errors today and none of them let me reconnect to the match...

Hey dartred,

I sent your post along to the devs so they could take a look at the issue. They are aware that the tournaments are still wobbly, as they're receiving quite a few tickets. They're working on implementing fixes on these stability issues.

Hopefully it'll clear up soon!

I just had a game with dartred and he got disconnected mid-game a few minutes ago.

I was waiting for him to reconnect for 8-10 minutes before I decided to F5 the game. Then, when I came back, the game was already over. It seems he couldn't return to that game.
So yeah, please do check the connection and stability issues. I've seen some of my opponents lagging and I did get disconnected a few times too.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Have to ask but does anyone have a clue on how to proc her ability?
Tried procing her via attack an enemy, letting her get destroyed, face up attack, or is she a summon based effect?
Tried procing it on 1300 atk or less cards

Soul Angel Raquillet
[Soul Break] (Skill cost: 3 mana)
Choose 1 face-up character on your opponent's field with ATK less than 1500 and destroy her.

Pretty sure the JP wiki says her ability is auto, which I'm almost certain means that it only works via faceup summon. In other words, you need 14 mana to trigger her ability.

Seems like a damn waste of mana for an already-meh effect.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

The wording is completely different from Momiji though. I don't have either of them, but if that is true, the wording needs to be changed.

By the wording, it should be activated like Anteret's ability: manual, without being able to attack.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Spell Card
Cost Shackles - 9 mana
Decrease ATK of all characters on your opponent's field equal to their summon cost x100 for 3 turns

What the absolute fuck, this card is ridiculous.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

yup, you auto lose if that card hits the field. none of your cards can 1-1 trade any more and it last 3 turns. if you dont have occult obliteration just surrender. that card needs to be nerfed to 1 turn.

edit: i wish i had pockets as deep as kirito... pay to win is way to clear when you face an opponent like him.
