Yeah idk I cleared it with only about 5 units lost. Didn't really have a problem blocking them. Then again I usually deploy medium tanks first instead of heavies.

Ref #480 He didn't spend any money or was it a self-pun on being unlucky with spending money? or that money seems to have less effect in the game than one would normally expect.
Rawrs tendency to throw out mediums in the first wave might be related to having duped levelled 5* Super Pershings from day 1.
Active Skill: Ace Lv.5 Gain +50% damage, +35% armor, +30% evasion for 15 seconds.
Who on top of that only costs 4 gears. Which is the cost you'd expect from a 4* medium tank.
I am certainly amused to compare it to the 5* super heavy Maus I picked up as the month reward the other day (first 5* and first reward, started much later than others here and played rather casually too).
She clocks in at a massive 7 gears to deploy. Her skill time counter starts from 0 and feels like it take ages to be ready.
On top of that she does not noticeably outperform my 4* Tiger I. Yet that is. Due to a level difference of course, but it is tricky to close it with the Renault trick gone, she levels slow as molasses.
Have had to turn the entire team into a "level that Maus" grind exp team with 5 sponges simply sitting around in the team and being fed to her (since everything drops as lvl1 tanks, even at Maunis maps, need to fatten them up), to get her levels up to something that works ...
Her skill is wonderful when it is finally up. But that 7 cost is just insane. 6 I'd understand. Anyways, giving her a go (obviously, since I am channeling 6/15's of the teams xp into her currently. lvl19 /snooze. Need her at min. 25)
Edit : Well. Rawr was faster in posting. And getting 4*s from factory, yeah its nice of them, but also means their events, if they ever get some, will have to be Elite 4*s or low 5*s. Not seeing much wiggle room in the power scales for them in all honesty. Would probably have been much better off with a classic event cycle setup and running event performance levelled 4*s ex. as Aigis. as the event units /anyways their call and done is done. Going to be interesting to see if that works out at least.
And if some of them are around still, you might want to think 6* or special 5*s down the line to get a bit of room in your power and reward scales. Factory and 5* stamp for all squeezes them more than a little (Which is good for me as a player, big fan here, but cynically, difficult to see people rolling for 4*s ever as it is something they can factory, that leaves only the 5*s to be rolled, which is given in stamps and jackpotted in Factory, so outside of timelimited .... tricky ... and if on top of that a Day 1 free player as Rawr can 1% PoC (loving that too btw, is good to see) then cynically, I am guessing shop resource sales due to PoC are not as they should/could be either).
BUT of course, until premium content is better, maybe that all IS the correct model and I am simply stuck in the classic model. There is that obviously. A crutch solution from one viewpoint, but none the less a solution and maybe the correct all else given (I'd of course claim that a crutch for missing premium content is a crutch even if it is a working and correct crutch )
Well. Having thought a bit about it and to separate it from my post above.
If any game rep is still reading this forum, I'd like to suggest that you consider setting up some hidden tiers in your reward framework.
Thing is, it is pretty crazy to have factory and the free stampcard roll on the same list as the Gatcha. Crazy nice, but still crazy.
A perhaps more sensible approach would be to do a differentiation into tiers where the free methods on roll against the lower tier of a star level and at best has a jackpot roll towards the higher tier.
Example,
4*
Standard Tanks - Factory can roll for these
Good Tanks - Factory can 4* jackpot for these
Prestige Tanks - Factory can never roll for these
5*
Standard - Factory can 5* jackpot for these. Stamp can roll for these
Good - Factory can never roll for these. Stamp can 5* jackpot for these
Prestige - Factory can never roll for these. Stamp can never roll for these
Time limited - Factory can never roll for these. Stamp can never roll for these
Event units would almost by necessity have to be levelled units within the current framework. with the best possible reward of them (if player finish in top or complete all in event) being that they are ready for Elite upgrade (player would still need to pay for the Elite upgrade mind you.
And they'd need to be in the Good tier if 4* and the standard tier if 5* to move them outside of mass production rewards from Factory.
Big events, Halloween, Valentine, Summer, Christmas/New year, could move them one quality tier up OR move their Adult Content up in quality (sorely needed) or Sommer model art versions (a rather obvious move)
(edit : Tiers would obviously be implicit and not presented in the UI. Keep the UI clean and players will in any case be happy to theory craft what is what)
edit 2: Oh and also. You could then pick a page from Aigis Millenium war Playbook and introduce more Stamp Cards. The more COREs a player spend in a month the better the stampcard for next month. The better Stampcards could then ex. have an mid-month roll on good/prestige 4* and end-month good/prestige 5* to set them (Think Aigis has 3 or 4? stampcards) apart from the free default stampcard (seriously, look it up could be good. Free players can save up cores for it and paying players would love it!)

I do have a bunch of 4*s at level 1 in the reserves that I'm ignoring because they don't appeal to me and it still stings pulling that dupe jagdpanther instead of Claudia. I still haven't fully recovered from the butthurt that banner gave me.
I refuse to drop 250 blueprints on that Tiger 1 because I still want an Claudia. I refuse to drop below 3000 blueprints no matter what. Anything over that I don't mind spending on other 4*s in factory but, that 3000 is reserved for Claudia no matter what.
Just did another try on final Devonis, and the enemy decided to send everything down one lane, I got the enemy down to just last two tanks and I lost. Its that damn massive stun that's doing me in.

I am after further testing displeased.
The Maus skill is 18 seconds in coming up, which due to her enormous cost of 7 gears, often leaves her alone with 2 enemy tanks (usually a heavy and a destroyer) and a fortification before the next tank can come out.
This allows focus fire on her and in tanking it without a skill she often takes catastrophic damage, only saved from death due to her skill and in the last moment. Leaving her in desperate need of healing. Another 2 gears cost.
Hilariously, Her Skill does not come back up ever. It is a 1 time skill. zero regen. Leaving her dead in the water at 7 gears if you cannot kill whatever it is that required her to pop her "reduce all damage to 1 dmg" skill.
Compare that to the Tiger I which costs 5 gears, can pop its skill after 8 seconds and will outside of overwhelming opposition do a credible job.
Further helped by the fact that she will be joined shortly by a T34/85 medium a solid tanker (5 sec timer) or M26 Pershing a strong dps tanker, thus at worst be 2 against 3 and also putting crapload more hp, dps and pickup power out on the field.
Also all of who's skills regenerate, the T34/85 without trouble coming up one time more in an though average fight.
(I shall skip the Super Pershing comparison who I assume has normal first skill use timer)

I am ok with the one time use given it reduces all to 1 dmg. But the first use timer is just plain insane and her 7 cost means she is a huge tempo loss often having to be deployed as the first tank to even get her on the field.
All her massive stats simply goes to offset her no-show skill timer ... gaining her no benefit at all compared to a tank that can pop its skill when needed.
Needs 10 secs off the first use timer or 5 secs more in skill duration. I'll withhold final judgment until I can get the last few levels on her, but right now, not considering her balanced correct at all. If the skill is too unbalanced "to balance" her, they should get off their behinds and change it to ex. reduce incoming damage to 10%, 20 sec duration and a cost of 5 or max 6 gears ... she's a 5* poster girl, front page, prestige, super heavy for crying out loud, not random chinese tank no one outside basement WWII nerds ever knew existed in the first place.

Yeah, Idk about that since I don't have to deal with it. I have Tiger I and Tiger II who both use Fortress. Then there's also Sturmtiger who does big aoe dps and also uses fortress.
The 1 damage skill has slow start regardless of who uses it though. The AMX-30 I use has it also, but she's only 3 cost, so it's a lot easier to deploy. I usually just send out my normal start, then at some point send AMX behind some units already fighting so she gets a chance to charge the skill. Then I pray she's still alive to use the skill by the time strong enemies show up.
Maybe they thought it would be a hilarious reference joke to the Maus never making it to deployment IRL.
idk. I am beginning to get a rather tense attitude to this game.
I want to like it, but it insists on driving a tank thread over my foot all the time or at least I feel it does ... maybe spoilt being an Aigis player, there my tanks tank, my dps dps and my healers heal and the enemy is, well, an actual enemy instead of reskinned tanks. Anyways, deep breath. And get the Maus levelled.

If you can't get a lot of scouting done then you're kinda out of luck emblemwise. Your only other option would be to make it to Ocica which has a small chance of dropping 5* emblems and some 5* tanks.

What's the deal with Seren? She has baseline 75% pen and her skill gives her one shot at 100% pen........ The hell is that? Of course I get her from my monthly draw and not someone better. *sigh*
Just got Cerys from tank girl log-in, a 5 star heavy was all I wanted. now I need to decide if i'm going to get another 5* heavy or a 5* artillery with my blueprints.

Congratulations to all of the players who managed to get Vitaliya last week! She’s rotating out of the drop table for now until further notice. This week, we have the ARL44 being introduced! She will be in a boosted 3% category in the drop table, along with her French brethren AMX-40 and AMX-13.
Balances are focusing on fixing the damage stat disaster from the previous week. We’ve also added a whole new damage substat that you can roll on new emblems. It’s a percent damage bonus!

Hm. But, it is just 1 new character added. Which is the baseline standard. So the more characters is correct but a bit thin.
The more art is a swing in the air. There is not more art as such, unless one insists on counting the new ARL44 itself here, it is exactly the same, which is,
Compared to 30 units with (a) story and (b) art. So 30 of 106(*disclaimer for counting and what not). Which is just absurd 2 months+ in.
Even the AMX-40 in the Gatcha pool does not have story or art (again btw ... does story and art really need to follow each other? why not get the tank's background fleshed out? The writing should take a fraction of the art time to do. Story could do with some improvements too btw. yes. Even for an adult game).
Also it would be more honest of them at this stage to scratch the 1* and 2* or at least make them story only. I mean come on.
At this speed it will take over 5 years for the all missing units (2 in 8 weeks at 76 missing) = 304 weeks
(Oh and Sturmtiger got fixed to use AoE under Fortress. Another one for team Rawr ) at 6 cost grrr
Which brings me to another Maus rant Why the F* is my Maus 7 cost?!
All other 5* Heavies are 5 except Claudia (same skill but +80% damage & 10sec instead of +20acc & 15 secs)
It is +2 cost for the skill? Seriously? And just for the heavies? (Seeing the AMX-40 gets it for free, gimmick sure, but if up, she'll hold anything for 10 secs)

It's not the skill. Considering AMX-40 has the exact same skill except hers is lv 4 since she's 4*, yet she's still 3 cost.
If I had to guess, it's probably because of her end game base stats.
Most of the 5 cost 5* heavies have a max base hp of around 5-5.5k, whereas the Maus at 7 cost can reach up to 7370 without emblems. That's like 25-35% more hp than most of the other 5* heavies aside from E-100 which is also a 7 cost tank.
As the skill is 18 sec timer all those stats amount to almost nothing. She takes catastrophic damage before it comes up.
All her stats goes to taking the beating, that she will get, due to 7 cost. Basically her against the world for a good time.
In essence all they amount to is the hope, the hope that she can last until the skill is up and when it times out she is still mortally wounded (outside of walkover maps) which considering her support is 2 gears "behind" tempo-wise is a real issue as any stack she tanks is unlikely to have been killed yet.
Can post some screens if wanted to show it.
She is best case at 1/3 health when skill can be popped at any map that is not a walkover due to taking focus fire from on average 2 enemy tanks + 1 fortification.
The skill's problem is simple, it is, at the same time, way too strong and way too slow. Outside of enemy deathballs you could do better with less ex. Fortress, and inside enemy deathballs you lack gears to destroy them in time, which again makes Fortress or Ace + 2 gears (halfway to a assisting 4* or 5* medium or AoE Tank destroyer) a much better choice outside of extreme or niche situations
Edit : maybe there is a power threshold she needs to level over to shine and justify her cost, but I have yet to find it. Or very endgame map types, dunno, not there yet.
