(Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I'm having trouble resisting the urge to use my SC and try for Deine. <.<

Finally back to 33 sc and over halfway to getting that 2nd extra barracks though. :(

Why must they tempt me every time.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Has anyone ever asked Nutaku devs why they don't do some kind of limited sales/promotions/discounts on their cash shop currency? EVERY F2P game and MMO out there does that and it usually rakes in tremendous amounts of cash. Or just look at the Steam sales. I mean, in general, slapping a huge, bright, red '50% OFF LIMITED TIME ONLY!!!' on just about anything in business is guaranteed profit... as long as you don't overdo it.
I, for one, as far as resistant I am to spending my hard-earned second-world dosh on something like Aigis, would definitely be more prone to do so if I got an opportunity to 'save' some money.

Thats quite tricky to work in actually, they'd have to make it so if you bought gold via a aigis sale you could only spend it on aigis otherwise spending it on a normal game and nutaku would lose money there. Lowering the prices of games is what Steam and Nutaku does, gold itself is too general and tied into what they send the owner.
Imagine each SC bought with gold in Aigis sends 80 cents to devs while nutaku keeps 20 cents themselves, taking 50% off the price of gold would mean sending 50 cents to devs and paying 30 cents out of their own pockets, unless you work something out with the devs beforehand who may or may not hate Nutaku.

Its not impossible, it just needs a lot of work done first, it does need to be done though. Those numbers are not mildly accurate, they're guesswork.

You're forgetting, Aigis had the price of SC reduced long ago, so it's basically like it's on sale 24/7. :p

How exactly are they losing money, if people spend it on gold? I don't get your logic at all here. Nutaku doesn't profit from selling products for gold - they profit from people buying gold. Once you buy gold - they have your money already, they don't care what you spend it on in their shop, be it games or cash shop products in them.
Unless you have some kind of behind the scenes knowledge and I'm wrong here.

I don't know how you reckon this is how Nutaku's business model works, but it sounds way too impractical to be real. Calculating SC purchased in Aigis and sending profits made off them to DMM? Really? Is this a confirmed thing? More likely they have a contract with DMM with their products on a 'lease'. Or maybe they purchased the rights to distribute the IP altogether, which is the less likely version, though you never know with this whole 'taking over' business.

Not what I mean, you have to spend 1 US dollar for 100 gold. Prices of SC in the game don't matter. I'm talking about cash shop currency pricing here - the thing you have to spend actual money on.
And the prices of SC in Aigis are not susceptible to promotional discounts anyways. It's a permanent 'buy more - """"save"""" more' kind of deal, which sucks anyways. I suppose I'd achieve what I'm asking for here if they would be temporarily discounted here - but THAT could be against DMM's internal Aigis policy, since it's inside of Aigis, and not within the sphere of Nutaku's personal business model, which, to my knowledge, is independent.

It all depends on how the contracts for Aigis and various other games are written. It could be transaction based money or it could be a percentage of what Nutaku makes based on full gold price.

Nutaku gold costs 1 cent per 1 coin. Aigis 1 SC costs 100 gold or $1. This increases in effectiveness as you buy bulkier SC bundles. If Nutaku sells gold at half off, but the contract for Aigis is written in such a way that every SC the game gives more money to the developers than they would make with a half off sale, Nutaku loses money.

Yes this is how it works, it's why we never see apology SC or gold given out by Nutaku, because they would have the pay the developer, Nutaku has stated such many times.

i think he means they lose money by you buying gold at a lower price via aegis sale but gold elsewhere is the normal price then being able to spend it on something else not on sale

Does DMM do money sales? I don't think I've ever seen that.

Only time I saw Nutaku do any sort of Gold sales was on Black Friday.

And that was only on a small scale; 20 dollars for 3000 Gold, one time purchase only or something.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

There was one on Black Friday? Huh, guess I missed that one. I only remember seeing that kind of deal for , which I saved specifically to use to perfect Claudia.

See, this is what I mean. It's possible. And hey, it's 10 bucks. Not 50% exactly, but I could get a fucking pizza for this. A WHOLE PIZZA.

So, the contract Nutaku have with DMM, or Aigis devs (since DMM is a publisher I guess?), is basically fucked. All the purchased SC - a virtual currency bought with another virtual currency - are divided into profits between Nutaku and 'them'. And THEN there's still DMM somewhere in between, who probably has to get their share as well.
Who the fuck signed this atrocity? Do they hate money or something? The F2P cash shop model is such a cash cow in this age, but you NEED to use the old capitalist trick of 'save money by spending it' to get it running. And don't tell me the SC prices in Aigis are doing that - they're laughable when it comes to 'savings' (sorry you wanted some actually notice-able promotion? BETTER WOP OUT THOSE 100 BUCKS BOY).
Well, whatever. Rant over. Guess I'm keeping my money for now. Maybe order that pizza or something.

EDIT:
Huh, guess I missed that one. I only remember seeing that kind of deal for the end of the year, which I saved specifically to use to perfect Claudia.
Well I guess the sales actually DO happen, although very rarely. Hopefully I'll be there the next time.
Also, how could I forget the initial one-time account discount on the 1,000 gold purchase?
All this only confirms these discounts are very possible to do, and Nutaku doesn't really pay for them.
Also, the puzzles. F R E E G O L D. Would they implement that if they had to pay for it?

Oh maybe it was that one. I don't quite remember the timing, but amount seems right.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Oh okay, maybe I didn't miss one then. Yeah, Gold sales seem pretty rare, so when I saw that one I jumped on it.

It does not seem very rare. It is exactly one-time thing. Sort of giving back to userbase for all their support :)

And yes, people asked that and Nutaku explicitly stated that they can't slash the gold prices as they had fixed ngold-to-game's-premium-currency conversion rates written out in their contracts with owners of the games. So, basically, this:
each SC bought with gold in Aigis sends 80 cents to devs while nutaku keeps 20 cents themselves, taking 50% off the price of gold would mean sending 50 cents to devs and paying 30 cents out of their own pockets

So instead of offering deals on NGold, they hashed out agreements to offer deals of premium currencies. This is why 1 SC costs 100 NG (1$) on its own, but buying in bulk nets you 150 SC for 10 000 NG (100$) :D

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

DK awakening art and sprite is pretty badass. Kinda interesting that the sprite and cg have the exact same pose. Shame that Elva's art feels like they accidentally swapped her CC and AW.

Said that before, will say again: Grandmaster is only Dark Knight, whos Awakening is upgrade art-wise, rather than downgrade poor girls suffer :D

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I'd have to disagree. He is a man before awakening and after awakening as well. Not interested before, not interested after.
Cornelia on the other hand.. =)

Cornelia is adult Monique/Canola.

Just like Liddy is adult Akatsuki.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I have the perfect answer to apology SC that nutaku refuses to do.

Do apology girls instead!

Problem solved.
