He's talking about the one from A Maze where Darkness Dwells, which is the shadow version.

The Signs of the Demon King version is the real version that passes by.
He doesn't drop anything even if you kill him.

.. yeah i know. im noob but shit that was so satisfying

i hate how i had to use the luck strat of thief dodge though. i leveled cypria to 21 so she could eat 2 hits with a heal in between. i lucked out and she instagibbed one of the black knights at half health.

pop out a low cost soldier to catch anything getting past katie and throw out sophie to wreck face at the big swarm. once i got prince out for the 11% aura she started one shottin the goblins.

it was frantic as hell

I'm fairly sure this was a very inefficient win but I'm ok with that. The MVPs of this run were 50CC30 Ellett, raised just for this fight and Hien who is my hardest hitting ranged dps (that didn't already have a job killing everything on the right without heals). I did entertain the thought of using Karma and Olivie but that wasn't as fun or as hard.

Without Hien there simply wasn't enough burst healing, as I was cutting it very fine with just a minute to kill the second stage.

anybody got any videos for tree of life that dont involve max level units?

i wanna make an attempt but i can't find the mob stat modifiers or any videos with comparable stuff to judge what i need.

Wow, Key Kii cleared it with 2 maxed silver units. You need an archer, a magic swordsman, and the prince. Since I don't think you have a maxed silver archer and magic swordsman, you'll probably have to change it up significantly, but the requirements for it are pretty low.

yeah but the point is that they're maxed lol. you dont get a bunch of ranged slots to double up on the bats and shit and im not confident my archers will do enough to kill them in time. my bashira has 267 attack so she can 2 shot the bats i'd think?

well, i tried it, it was a 1* disaster. i can't kill the bottom path fast enough before my tank gets overrun

Tree of life mobs have heightened attacks so it's best to kill with ranged. Although, the trees will also heal nearby melees so you don't even need to bring a healer. Ideally archers south and west, with mages/cannons north and east would clear the mobs. There is really no way around it except to keep leveling up units, unless you are willing to resort to buying buffs from goddess.

how much does the tree heal and does it heal everybody simultaneously?

The final map, with the hard hitting Maoh (Demon King) that's capable of 1-shotting most ranged once he's below 1/2 HP. There is gonna be a fine balance in reducing his life so that he does not fall below 1/2 HP.

The two lesser mirrors each have 24000 HP while the main shadow have 66000 HP. So it's ideal to reduce the main to as close to 33000 as possible without going below that til he is engaged by the tank/stall unit.

The two most common methods of engagement is to either tank or stall. To tank, the defense unit and combined healing need to replenish Demon King's 2640 damage per hit. This would almost always require 3 healers. The alternative, stall, would be to use special units like Eden, Karma, Olivie, or even tokens to prop up the Demon King while the surrounding units beat it down. Eden can paralyze Maoh once, which would stall for around 17 to 18 seconds before having to withdraw. At 5/5 skill, Karma and Olivie can tank him for 13 and 15 seconds, respectively. With decent DPS it should be possible to take out the main shadow within 35 seconds.

Pretty sure only those melee spots adjacent to the trees will be in range. As far as the actual amount, not sure. But best guess is around 300 to 500.

Trees heal for 175 without prince buff each though 2 trees can hit the 4 main defensive points.

thanks. this is useful. i didnt place enough low cost duelists or i would have probably shit stomped it. i was so afraid of the 500 atk monsters but if the trees are healing 388/round that changes a lot

I just did it with these guys, all silver level 30 and 50% affection, the ninja and the battle priest were fairly important it seemed, Misha was in the heavys place at the start but died to the very last ogre, I did place a useless angel on the left but she did almost nothing but die to the ogre at the end too. My monk dan seemed to get lucky too with his dodging but overall it went well.

and i got a black witch despara on my 2nd try. lmao

and summoned a silver elf warrior chick with mind's eye on my free base summon. LMFAO this account is blessed

Wait, since when was Despara the Conrad of Blacks? :V

I can't remember how many draws I did on the Alt, but it was the one to get a Black first, which was Sybilla. I remember how irritated I was back then. I got slightly over it when the Main got Nanaly. But then the Alt got Mikoto and the Main got Liana. Shortly after that the Main actually started getting pretty good draws, but that was to lure me into false security when began to get extremely good RNG (it currently still has extremely good RNG, actually....) for everything, CRs/SUs, drop rates, etc, and then the Alt unsurprisingly drew Aisha. Which like with Nanaly, I've somewhat gotten over after the Main drew Cornelia. But, I have no doubt one of these days it's going to draw Elyse or Rion (whenever she's added) and it'll begin again once more.
